  1. the haters can be summed up like this. "we hate bioware because they are not listening to us and the bugs are not getting fixed"... 2 minutes later you will see these same brilliant people make a post like this "there are too much maintenance down time"... Oh you mean to fix the bugs you just said in another post they are not fixing? any bets on how long it will take the haters to realize this contradiction? i am going to go with never because they will not see 2 seconds into the future and forget everything they post as soon as they hit the submit button.
  2. WoW has been out over 7 years now and every patch day is basically just like this. Bring down the server, put in the patch, put the server back up. Oh crap we found a rather large game busting bug, pull down the server, fix the bug, put in new patch, put server back up. Oh crap we found another rather large game busting bug pull down server, fix bug, patch server, bring server back up. Its called coding and no matter how good you think you are you are always going to run into issues. Testing is only going to find so much because your pool of testers is ALWAYS going to be smaller then your live servers. No matter who bioware has brought in from other games they will not nor should they know everything about the past games they worked out. All they will get is some experiences of what could happen. Each game has been using a different game engine for the most part which means the code is going to vary. To say they learned nothing is really short sided. They didn't promise us 50 things on release date and only deliver 25 of them like most every MMO before them. No in fact pretty much everything they said would be in the game was in the game. Some of these items changed over what was originally posted but that is to be expected. They wanted this Legacy thing is at release but they couldn't do it so they didn't post anything about it. For a long time many of us were asking what this legacy exp bar was for, many of us speculated but no one really knew what it was for until they released info on legacy for the 1.2 patch. For any MMO vet we all know patch day is NOT christmas, its more like the day after christmas and everyone is trying to return their unwanted gifts and some idiot is trying to return something without a receipt.

After reading many of the posts here I see 1 common theme in all of them. pretty much everyone even the so called skilled Mara's admit to needing to use so many more keybinds then the other classes. This does not make the class good and Bioware has come out and said this was not intended for the class and want to correct it. Now to you so called great Mara players, I have been top dmg in many warzones and i can tell you that is quite easy to get so long as you totally forget to do the objectives. find the stragglers and pick them off 1 at a time. If you get into trouble stealth out and hide until you can find your next victim. BUT if you actually play a warzone to win meaning going after the objectives and doing your job which is to take down healers well the other team, if they have any salt will want to keep their healers alive and will focus fire you down. So bragging about being tops in dmg real means crap to me and anyone who really watches what people are doing. Pretty much any time i see Mara's in the top of dmg they were not going for objectives but rather playing death match with anyone stupid enough to challenge them to a 1 on 1 match. oh crap! I let the secret out for top dmg mara's my inbox is going to be filled with hate or deniers or the always moronic L2P comments.
  5. its funny how you are basing this so called nerf off crit damage. well lets speak a little facts here first of all your BASE damage is going up. 2nd if we are getting more then the listed 30% bonus damage to bleed crits, ITS A FIX NOT A NERF. Lets pretend that you were getting lower then the listed 30% you would all be crying foul and demanding that it get fixt 3 years ago. YOU CAN NOT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. Its a fix NOT A NERF. 3rd to argue that we are getting nerfed because our crit damage is going to be lower, wow thats just foolish. 1 i don't know of anyone with 50% or higher crit percentage and you are basically all assuming that you are going to crit like mad which you are not. If you have over 25% right now you are doing pretty good. facts are your BASE damage is going to be higher which means every time you hit you are doing more damage per hit. Please fix your math to include a 1 in 4 to possible 1 in 3 chance of criting. Do a run of 100 stirkes and see where your math is at then. Stop with this stupid assumption that you will crit 100% of the time which is what many of you are basing your math on.
  6. Wow there is just so much bad math out here is not even funny. lets get a few things correct here. Current hemo gives yout 2/4/6% base damage to your bleed effects after patch: Hemo will be 5/10/15% a net increase of 9% base damage to your bleed effects. Current Bleed out is suppose to give you 15/30% increase to the critical strike damage of your bleed effects. after patch: Hemo now correctly modifes the critical damage by bleed effects. NO MENTION of this be lowered to 15% only that they are fixing the problem of it not correctly applying the critical strike damage to the bleed effects. This means you are NOT losing any criticial strike damage to bleed its still at the 15/30% for Hemo. Please note that if you are currently getting over the 30% crit damage listed then it is a bug and has to be fix. That is NOT a nerf its a correction. So, YES, this is a buff to anniliation mara's.
  7. Here is a possible idea to help out at least one spec. Instead of predation getting 15% and 30% more run speed change it to 50% and 100% resistance to roots and snares for the duration of the buff, it would also break all current roots and snares. I believe this would be a fairly good fix at least in part. Sinces its based on building fury there is no need for a CD, also would be no need to add in another skill for a class already so dependent on about 90 to 95% of its skills to be good. The other 2 specs will need something but at least the annihilation spec becomes more viable in pvp.
  8. not all marauders can do that, infact i know of very few that do this kind of crit damage off smash. Also where did you see this kind of damage off smash?
  9. The over all issue and problem with the mara class is NOT its dps its the classes ability to get in range to do said dps. Range has more counters then we have ways to get to you. we have charge you have a knockback. we can snare but only at 4m, you can snare or root at much greater range then 4m. we can channel a stun at 10m. you can stun at far greater range and you are free to do extra damage to us on top of your stun's damage. As I have stated before, this class either needs some kind of ability to become temp immune to snare and roots on a fairly short cd, no more then a minute but thats getting kind of long. An other option is a full fledge stun that would allow us to get close to our targets which like every other class would be on a 1 minute timer, but then we would also need a knockdown attack to be on par with all the other classes. A 3rd option is to make some of our abilities longer range like 15 to 20m range, but this option would require that one of them be a snare or root ability, or stun. I would say to keep the class a bit different go with the ability of temp immunity to snare and roots with the shortish cd.
  10. It would seem that the detractors of asking for a few more utility tools for PVP have nothing contructive to say. Can not state why the class should not get any kind of a buff other then the L2P line or say "you suck" if you can't win in PVP. So I will ask you L2P trolls and the "you suck" trolls to tell me how its balanced that a Mara should have to blow pretty much all its CD's in order to beat a ranged class, were as a ranged class uses maybe 2 CD's to beat a Mara.

I would be ok with NOT having a stun or knockback/knockdown if we are giving a root/snare breaking ability that lasts say 15 to 20 seconds on a 45 second to 1 minute cd, and another 20+ ranged attack or a way to insta refresh our charge. Lets be clear here, never said maras or sents were bad at dps but in terms of pvp they need a few tools to be on par with every other class in the game.

They are they only classes in the game without some way to get a stun either base skill or turn a skill into a stun with specing, force chock is not a full stun since you can be knocked out of it. They are also the only 2 classes without some kind of knockdown or knockback again either base skill or specing. This is a rather huge oversite and needs to be changed. Other things these classe need is either more ranged attacks, 10m is NOT ranged its extended melee. To be considered ranged is should be at least 15m if not 20m. The other possibilty is to give these classes more ways to break or become immune to being rooted and slowed. Not sure how bioware figures that melee can compete with ranged that can spec to have their knockback root or snare, 1 cc breaker and force charge can't be used if you are rooted, is not enough.

  14. All marauders really need is a full fledge stun, force choke does not count since it can be broken by a knock back or knockdown or stun. The aoe ability is an incapasitate not a stun since it is broken on any damage recieved. Juggs get 1 stun without speccing and like 3 or so more with specing. Mara's and sent's are the only 2 classes in the game without a full fledge stun base skill, or even with specing. Another thing mara's need is another 30m ranged attack or at least a way to get our force charge to refreash faster so that we can actually stay on our targets. Most classes have a knockback on a 20 to 30 second delay some classes have more then 1 knockback, or if no range given then an abilty to make us temp immune to roots and snares on a 20 to 30 second CD, this would probably be more fitting to the class. Finally our top spec skills need to be brought in line with other dps classes top spec abilites. Right now the mara's most damageing spec attack is in annhilation tree on a 12cd can get it down to around 8.5 seconds with multi attacks. Still other classes have abilites just as damaging as this skill on a much lower if any CD at all. With this skill costing 5 rage a 12s cd on top of it is very unneeded and overly punishing. Perhaps a 4 to 5 second delay at most with the same abilty to lower it down to 3 seconds with multi attacks.
  15. They made a lot of rapid changes towards the end of beta. we told them this was a bad move we were told to basically shut up and eat our crow. They would make changes as they saw fit and we are just there to test the changes they made. Perhaps they will listen to us now that there is money involved. If they ignore their player base we will cancel, even if its bioware and star wars.
