  1. Don't like it? The only way you can send a clear message is to not buy Mass Effect 3. Cancel enough preorders and they might get off their asses.
  2. It's time to send Bioware a message with our wallets. I just cancelled my Collector's Edition Mass Effect 3 pre-order. Why? Because after 2 months of live, and countless months of beta testing, Soa is still a buggy mess of RNG-based abilities that don't work properly half the time. Meanwhile, the game gets taken down within 48 hours to fix Ilum bugs. It's as if PVE players are getting literally a fraction of the product support that PVP players are getting. So if that's how they want to frame it, I'm not going to pay for their PVE content anymore. I suggest everyone else who has issues to put their money where their mouth is, and not just unsubscribe from this game but refrain from buying future Bioware games as well. Send a message to EA/BW that we won't stand for half-finished crap being foisted upon us. EA/BW have already made their money back on this product. Unsubbing won't do anything to help. If they take a hit on sales of their next big game, that WILL send a clear message.
  3. Finally killed Nightmare Soa 8man last night after 4 hours of attempts. It felt like we just rolled dice until we won. The fight is so bugged that you have to basically pray that events happen as they are intended and in a favorable order to win. There is no way this is intended. Bioware, you have 14 days to fix your game before you lose my subscription AND my Mass Effect 3 preorder.
  4. So my guild finally took down Soa on 8man Nightmare last night. I was the tank. We had a Juggernaut DPS taunt him in p3 when I got mindtrapped. I basically spammed taunts to get him where I needed him and we got really fortunate that he chose not to switch aggro right when a pylon was dropping and taunts were down. Even then, it took all night and we had him despawn several times when I got trapped. We also ran into issues with the floor not re-spawning, balls doing extra ticks before exploding, balls bugging out on phase transitions, you name it. It didn't even feel like a solid victory when we killed it. It felt like we just threw the dice enough times to get favorable conditions that allowed us to kill the boss. This is what WoW players referred to as "RNG" or Random Number Generation. That is not how a good bossfight should feel. I absolutely dread having to kill this guy in his current state next week again. Bioware, please...stop fiddling with Ilum, stop working on new content, and FIX THIS BOSS. There is absolutely no excuse for this fight being as ridiculously buggy as it is currently. Make the fight require skill, not luck. If this is how you're going to limit player progression for the rest of the life of the game, you can count my subscription out.
  5. So as some of you may or may not be aware, Soa now has an interesting new bug in 1.1.2 where he randomly drops aggro during p2/3. On top of this, he still has a chance to reset when the tank gets mindtrapped. While he's still killable on Nightmare, it's really, REALLY annoying. Rather than rant about how Bioware's internal testing sucks (we know) or how I'm going to unsubscribe (I'm not), I'd like to take a humorous approach and start a thread where we take a shot at predicting the next major Soa bug that will be introduced in the next patch (probably 1.1.3). I'll go ahead and get it started with a few ideas: -Lightning balls will now randomly change aggro, causing whoever is attempting to explode them to simply get hit by the AOE when they pass through. -Breaking a player out of a Mind Trap will now place them at the Imperial/Republic Fleet. -Soa's single-target lightning will now occasionally deal triple damage. Add your new and interesting upcoming Soa bugs here!
  6. False. I had him switch aggro on me several times while he was in my melee range, usually when waiting for a spike to drop. He's still killable with judicious taunt spam whenever a pylon is up, but man is this one annoying bug.
  7. Te only problem is, by doing this you're downgrading the item's main stats as well. So it's better to just grab a dupe of the one piece of Rakata gear that's well optimized and rip the mods out of that. The Jugg gear is for the most part itemized decently, except the boots which have Surge rating for some stupid reason.
  8. They need to make it so every piece of Columi can be bought with the tokens. That would make up for some of the really bad RNG on the rarer pieces (belt). Killed Jarg and Sorno both weeks on NMM and have yet to see a Sith Warrior belt. Same on Gharj.
  9. Sadly this is the only boss that is really a challenge in here anymore up to Soa. >.>
  10. Yeah. the robot trash is the only stuff hat will actually wipe you...but the rest of the trash is just tedious to clear with all the knockbacks and stuns, especially as a tank.
  11. This is pretty much common knowledge at this point. Honestly I think they know, but they just don't want people running around with 140 weapons yet. That's the only explanation I can think of as to why this hasn't been fixed, as it's ridiculously obvious.
  12. Wha? I was doing HM EV with 16k as a Juggernaut. Do BH/Trooper tanks get massively more health than everyone else?
  13. Cool story bro. Seriously though, I liked Karagga's a lot more than EV. Even though the trash made me want to punch a baby. I think Jarg and Sorno could use a buff on HM, currently the only difficulty is keeping the tank alive through Jarg's crazy damage but with a pro healer this is easy. Foreman Crusher is free loot. Robot is easier on HM than on Normal (go check, he has less HP). Bonethrasher is still the hardest boss in there >.>
  14. We did HM Karaggas last night with tons of Rakata gear, didn't get Karagga himself down yet but everything else. G4-B3 is actually easier on HM, has less HP...go figure.
