  1. Hammer Station is the welcome to actually having to use a kill order mindset and not a everyone focus on the tanks mob mindset. It's the crash course of DPS having to know what to CC and when. To start off by killing little mobs and work your way to the big ones that the Tank is slowly killing. It's the training ground for Tanks to begin their basic skill set for holding and agro. Who needs to be shielded and when. How to use that brand new taunt skill. It's the Healers first big push to actually have to learn to heal and conserve/manage there "Force/Energy/Heat/Manna for lack of a better term". It's the big HOLY CRAP WHAT I LEARNED IN WOW DOES NOT WORK HERE!!! time. Some people learn this before they get through MR. Some don't. I still to this day see Juggs and Guardians Force leaping turrets in HM Cad. With time one can only hope that people will learn the required fight placements and kill orders that are unique to each FP and Ops. But it always boils down to one quote that a wise man said a long time ago. "A person is smart. People are dumb as friggen rocks."
  2. I'm still bothered by half the CEC droids being named either CEC (insert generic droid name here) or Cec (insert generic droid name here).
  3. Way too time consuming if you ask me. Soloing FP's is much easier and quicker. I made my first 2 mil farming BP over and over. I abhor the FP now that I cringe when it pops up on my daily GF Comms queue
  4. As a Arsenal Merc I would like to say. Please for the love of god do not change the Tracer Missile animation again. It's fine the way it is. As of now it differs from both Fusion Missile and Heatseeker Missile. Gone are the days of 100% Tracer Missile spam. Though it is still used a lot due to the Arsenal Talent tree for those every wanted Heat Sigs and Tracer Locks. It is a used ability for Rail Shot, Heatseeker Missile, and reproc of unload.
  5. Look at the bottom of the page you are currently reading. You'll see 3 icons. LA, EA, and BW.
  6. Mob griding for EXP is different than Power Leveling. The heyday of having to grind mob after mob is done and gone unless you play a Final Fantasy MMO as Squeenix seems to love this aspect. Power Leveling on the other hand while not bad does tend to lead to people not really knowing how to play their class. The same can be said for leveling with a companion too but imo not as much. With PL'ing you have new tanks who are not the focus of the mob so they are not learning hate management where as with healers you usually have a PL'er who is far above your level that their tiny heals don't even put a dent in the HP bar nor are they learning aggro managment.
  7. I like it when people who don't read entire posts or ignore most of what is said in other peoples posts just because they disagree with what is being said. Do you get social points for convo rolls? Yes that is it primary way to win them. Do you get social points for killing bosses in FP's and Ops? Yes this was added a bunch of patches ago. Do you get social points for killing and old Champ or World Boss? No unless you have a quest to do so and are grouped. This is from the SWTOR Codex for Social Points BTW When you adventure with other players, you earn social points. Social points are earned primarily by talking to NPCs while in a group with other players. You will earn points faster by being in larger groups and by winning rolls in conversations. However, any social points you accrue will not actually be awarded to you until you turn in the mission Have FP’s and Ops’s groups become anti-social, quick run grindfests. Yes because we have all done them more times than we can count. No one wants to listen the CS's anymore because most of us can repeat them verbatim; and most are there not for the drops but the daily GF rewards and/or PvE daily/weekly’s. Now as for even getting social points my question is this why do you even want them? What is the exact benefit of having them anyway? The Adaptive Armor you get with them? You can get more and better looking of the CM and/or off the GTN. The Galactic Party Bomb? This I have a feeling is the main reason this was brought up. Then why not ask for something similar for valor points. In fact why not ask for valor points to be made relevant again? Let’s see some rewards made for PvP in that regard. Adaptive PvP gear, Titles, a RPG that is only useful to blow up Disco Balls? Does this not seem a lot more of a reasonable request than making them revamp a system that is already in place? After all they have already shown that it's not that difficult to include a bunch of recolored armor into the game every month.
  8. It does this a lot. When I was leveling my sin tank I would level in GF more than the planet/story quest line. The problem with this was that I was usually 5+ levels above the planet/story I was currently on. Yet when I logged in the loading screen plot summary was almost always giving away the plot before I was actally there.
  9. But is was said in TECHNOCOLOR!!! That makes all the difference.
  10. This must be a new thing with the return of the Gree Event as I was able to track all these solo. As for ther higher level ones being tougher yes but I was still able to do them solo. It just takes having the right companion out and utilizing your stuns and cc's
  11. And And I state again that just because you are grouping you are not getting the Social Points you are getting them from convo rolls. I don’t ever recall getting any for joining a WB Group unless I was getting them for having one of the weekly quests from the “PvE Terminal” By your own and others requests then I should also be getting “Social Points” for helping someone through their Story Mission or by grouping up for dailys. See my above posts on how you earn Social Points and Valor Points As for the Companion Affection you get that by almost the same means as Social Points right. This time it’s how you answer the convos depends how how much you gain and/or loose affection. This I can see transferring over to PvP players but it would have to go full across for all your companions. Dark Jaesa will most likely love it that you’re out there killing Pubs left and right but more than likely Vette is going to want to throw you out the nearest Airlock the next time she sees you. This is most likely the best response that I have seen in this entire thread. Why make the devs revamp a whole system as opposed to getting them to make the system that is already in place an bit more balanced?
  12. Correct you have to group up for Flash Points, Ops, and Heroics all of which are PvE based content. Yes you group up for Warzones which are PvP based content. By your definition of PvE they would in reality be Solo Points instead of Social Points. I also challenge you with this how exactly does one earn Social Points anyways? Is it by just grouping or is it by winning convos and/or answering the same as the rest of your party members in all those cut scenes that everyone is spacebaring through because we have all seen them way too many times now?
  13. Because when they implemented the game PvP was not considered a "Social" aspect. All you did was queue for WZ's. Get auto placed into a group and attempt to win whatever WZ you were placed into with the teammates you were placed with. Your reward was Valor Points which we're and still are used for items that were put into the game for PvP. From gear that dosen't much matter anymore to titles. Flash Points and Heriocs which are PvE components orignally required people to form groups by either calling out in /general or using the ever so unimpressive LFG tool. Your reward for those was Social Points which are used for Vanity Items (two of which are very social) and titles. Basically what it seems like you are wanting is acess to those items without having to do the FP's/Ops/Heroics because they don't appeal to you as much as running WZ's do. It's not that we don't understand it's that you don't understand that it was set up as such and is very unlikely to change. Its been stated many times before PvP = Valor PvE = Social You can't have both unless you do both what is so hard to understand about that?
  14. Like Makeb because that planet existed before the game^^
  15. I vote Lahsbane. An enviroment that has yet to be explored in SWTOR that can be used by both Pub and Imp sides with an NPC race that would make for some fun questing and group content. Heck thow in a Zeltron or two for added fun. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lahsbane
