  1. I'm not sure if this has been posted but I am unable to switch between Trooper/Merc, Sentinel/Shadow classes after finishing the quest. I had others on the fleet try it themselves and still it doesn't work.
  2. HI. Imma long time player (off and on since beta) just getting back on the game. I'm Looking for a laid back social guild with a family like atmosphere. The guild i was in for years was like this and they finally broke it up before I got back on again.
  3. That's cause its not meant for you to get through it only on mur scout...It takes coordination and teamwork.. You need a gunship, and a striker to help u out with ions and emp's. What needs to be added is a better way to communicate with your team.. Normally if I'm in a pug right at the start I say.." Drone bomber here and I need a striker and gunship with me at A to defend. My healing drones will be in back of the SAT if needed.)
  4. The fact is they are not OP neither of the bombers are period. My railshot drone can be easily targeted and destroyed by proton missiles and gunships(and it can't defend itself btw). It only hits for 750 or so, and has a 90 sec CD. My drone does the majority of my damage and without it im a sitting duck due to the fact that I have no def CD's. My main objective is to def a sat and help heal and replenish ammo to my fellow gunships (and strikers). Who in return my my life a lot easier by keeping bogeys off of my tailpipe.
  5. Bombers are deadly in deathmatch also..remember its all about teamwork and coordination not solo play. I park near my gunship buddy at a choke point and surround us with 2 seeker mines. Then I leave my railgun drone just to the side of us. I tell the others to herd the enemy near my friend ION railgun's range and its instant kills!
  6. I do the same thing except I mainly use my railgun drone and have my gunship buddy sit to my far right..I leave a seeker mine near him for protection. Bombers however are not OP neither are gunships IMO. What I see is alot of bad teamwork and coordination. But if you setup correctly it can be tough to retake a sat that aslost but IMO that's how its supposed to be.
  7. No, they (we cause I like to team up with my friends also) just disagree with you. I know that me and my friends don't go out our way to farm noobs we play against whomever is qued against us. There are plenty of players who feel as though this game is pretty well (not perfect) balanced. Just look at the history, almost every ship was called OP even strike fighters very early on. Flashfires OP, Gunships OP, Bombers OP, even Novadives at one point were called OP because of their near unlimited engine boost. Now tell me how can everyone of these ships be OP all at the same time..Pikes are dangerous with the right pilot suprised they werent called OP yet. As I stated before I understand no one wants to get pummeled over and over again but there are ways around it..like a ranking system that the OP suggested or maybe asking people on your server to team up with you.
  8. I agree on the ranking system idea but I dont agree on the notion that all of these ships are OP. Ive seen posts about every ship (flashfire, gunships, and now bombers) being OP. The sad thing is bombers were already nerfed in beta (due to them being too strong) they dont need to be nerfed ahain. IMO GSF is about skill and teamwork without both u will fail. Ive been in matches where we both lost badly and won and the end result is always the same: Players who only look for kills and chase other ships all over the map often ruin chances of winning. I do understand however that new players getting steamrolled isnt very fun. (If u are on Harbinger rep side and u r new give me a hollar. Me and my friends will help u out) A ranking system I would be ok with but all of the nerf talk about these ships I dont.
  9. Uh ohh now that I think about what I just posted I think I have eq2 on the brain lol
  10. No the system isn't fine..not yet anyway, but I do agree that we shouldn't scrap this for what the OP is asking for its too late for that....If this wS well thought out and that was the system used for launch then maybe yeah but not after the game has been out... Now maybe if they add point rank enhancements in to certain major abilities that u choose to put points into to make them stronger (u only get to choose for maybe 2 maybe 5 ranks) that maybe would work.
  11. What if they added a proc to Tele-throw. They can take away the channel (like guardian/jugs force choke/grip) and when it procs how ever many DoTs are on the target it does x% amount of xtra damage.
  12. I like this..I like playing both Inf and Balance but I'm a DoT guy do balance is my favorite. I really hope they look at some of these suggestions made in this thread. does anyone else have any ideas on how to fix this? (balance)
  13. So would the double ticking count as a "charge"? (the xtra tick) I would hope not. I actually like that suggestion...It would give more frontloaded damage and i'm guessing a tad more burst..(I believe sever force's first tick hits right away along with mind crush having a upfront element added with the DoT.
  14. Well how about this added to ur idea Kitru..How about adding a talent-proc to either force breech or sever force.. Something like sever force or Force breech has a 35% chance (per tic) to tic twice... or u can have sever force have a 35% chance and sever force have a 15% chance. Would that cover and lost ground dps wise?
  15. I see when u add numbers to the equation it makes a lot more sense. Very well explained Kitru..I kinda figures the inf idea would kinda make it a tad too strong but hey ideas are ideas. As far as balance yes something is missing and your idea does make sense..I just figured since this is a DoT spec, the force technique proc wasn't needed in favor or a DoT proc or something of that nature. Also I don't know how my post ended up posting twice but the second hopefully the devs can erase.
