  1. Hmmm... I've read through all of the posts in this (lengthy) section, I was quite excited on first hearing of a free-flight space model but to be honest on gleaning all that I can so far I'm not feeling that stoked about it. Of course I will give it a blast when it hits but being a pvp only part of the game I don't think I will last long. I've never been a big pvper in fact I have stayed away from it in every game I played. In my whole life I haven't been a huge "competitor" I like to progress through hard work and the instantanous gratification that most people get from pvp just doesn't hold up for me. Horse for courses though and some people thrive on it.... The idea that it's 12 v 12 now... I'd be interested to know if that's an absolute.. ie if there aren't 24 guys to play in the game it won't start? I have never been a queuer so joining a queue to get into a game just seems to me a waste of my time. I am getting on a bit now, retired and marching quickly to that hole in the ground so I don't have "spare" time to wait for games to start, I want to be in and playing... my gaming time is restricted by family life anyway and firing up the game just to sit waiting to get into the action I don't do anymore. I know people will say go do something else while the queue runs down but my mindset is such that if I have a goal then I can't just "fiddle" with something else while I wait to get on with it. Also, will you just queue then drop into a game? Personally I'd like to get to know the ship, controls and game model before being asked to fire the weapons in anger... I can't see joysticks/gamepads being in the game as the whole MMO ethos is that you can sit down at any PC with no added peripherals and just play, but it would be nice if support for these was considered as an addition at some point. For me space flight (albeit the airplane model we know comes with the Star Wars idea) isn't the same if you haven't got your hands on a joystick and at least attempting to emulate some realism. I suppose I'll have to wait till it launches to answer some of these questions but if I'm brutally honest I can't see me personally being in there much, I am waiting for Elite: Dangerous and Star Citizen to be released for a better space flight/combat experience, hopefully this "expansion" will be a decent game-within-a-game... we'll just have to see in a couple of months how it pans out.
  2. Basically post up which server you play on and your char names and someone will catch you in game maybe... I'm on The Red Eclipse and I have 12 chars spread over both sides but my main is an Empire Sith Assassin called Vulc-an
  3. Hi, I put a post on support and was advised to re-iterate here as a suggestion, original post copied below, mostly self explanatory from my original post: Ok, maybe I was a numpty for not reading up on this first but I saw it on my level 50 Sith and thought that it was legacy wide (why shouldn't I? It's in the Legacy pop out!) and bought it, possibly 2 levels I think only to find that you have to buy it individually on each character. So now I have wasted the credits (40000 I think) on buying it on a character that has absolutely no need or use for it. It's not the creds, that's just a drop in the ocean but the idea that you have available to buy a thing that your character level totally negates... It should be greyed out for characters that have no use for it. ...and yes I now realise that if I had taken a moment to read the tooltips I would have seen that it's character specific but even if I had done that I feel I would have had to confirm it outside of the game considering the positioning of the icon to buy it being inside what I previously had thought was for Legacy across all chars. Maybe this should be attended to in some upcoming patch to ensure that you can't buy stuff on a char that has levelled past it's use? Hope this fulfils all that is necessary as a suggestion. Thanks
  4. Actually a "beacon" idea would be very cool that you could use anywhere, the Quick Travel as it stands already works deep inside caverns and buildings which is a bit odd when you think about it. I'd be happy with a beacon that would only work outside and alert your ship droid that you wanted extraction and a nice animation of your ship coming down to pick you up, obviously only when not in combat. ....or just an extra option on QT that ports you back to the ship if that would be easier....
  5. 53 years young with wife and two kids this marriage 17 and 15 years old, 30 year old daughter from previous marriage with 2 grandchildren 3 yrs old and 18 months. Queued for the Original SW film in '77 when I was 18(ish), been waiting for the MMO of Star Wars that I would enjoy for many years. Joined WoW when it was only weeks old and didn't leave it till I signed up for SWTOR sadly I had dandruff that was older than some of my Guild Mates in WoW. IT Technician for a large Inner City College and been fixing computers since I saw my first Commodore Pet in the 70's I play this game at least 2 hours every day and love every minute.
  6. Being able to travel quickly to my ship is something I yearn for every time I play this game. With the Legacy unlocks of the mailbox and repair droid on ship, the ship is quickly becoming the hub where you can carry out most of your daily tasks and I constantly find myself travelling back to it. A QT to ship idea with a similar cooldown would to me be the most useful addition right now, any possibilities of having such a thing implemented? Also the on ship GTN in the Legacy panel professes to be "neutral" Is this the same as the neutral GTN on Nar Shaddaa? If it is I won't be spending the 5 million on it any time soon as that GTN is way too quiet on my server to be of any real use.
