  1. This doesn't inspire much confidence. I contacted support and they aren't going to do anything about it. This is disappointing, it wouldn't be so bad if it was an intended mechanic like in a game like FFXI where you died and lost experience points and could de-level if you lost to many experience points. But for this to be an unintended side effect is just unacceptable. The fact that they said it would have to be addressed in a future update and there is evidence the bug has been existent for at least 3 years is appalling. I mean what am I supposed to do if this happens again. I don't want to continuously be moving forward only to have a bug slap me back down of hours of play.
  2. As the title says. I was on Tatooine and entered a Warzone at level 43. When I got out of the Warzone I was level 41.
  3. My biggest gripe with SWTOR, is they put 200mil into this game and still couldn't get it right. The only thing making SWTOR and different then the other loads of themeparks out there is the VO and class stories. Theres nothing innovative about those two features.
  4. If you wanna play WoW, go play it. Leave SWTOR alone. Its this way for a reason.
  5. Aion tryed the whole buff thing in PVP... didnt work. It really is a terrible idea. Give XP bonuses to the opposing faction that is so overwhelmed that they need it. Other then that, limit the amount of characters being made per faction.
  6. I can tell your from WoW. By that statement.
  7. This guy is seriously doing something wrong... at lvl 10 my assassin was hitting 3K+ from Maul....... I did 6.4k in two cooldowns against a fully championed BH in huttball.
  8. You sound like an operative that relies on that initial burst. This is wrong. So very wrong. I've been pulled out of stealth many times and still come out of it heads up. Why? Because we have a lot of tools at our disposal. Hit them with your stun. They break it? Fine.. flash bang them. You still get your backstab. shiv and laceration in on them. You pulled them to well over half health in those few CD's. They panic and stun you. Break it. Circle strafe around and Backstab again. If your fighting something that does a lot of burst as well. LOS and heal. If its a melee. Kite them. Sure there is a lot that can happen in those few seconds. But you aren't a sitting duck like every other bad operative relying on that initial burst would love other to believe. The burst is to much Bioware. Its to easy of a class to play. Hidden Strike...Backstab....shiv...laceration...dead. Dont forget to use acid blade before you backstab guys. Oh dont forget the stims and all that. 9k crit. Very easy.
  9. FIX: Lessen burst. Increase survivability. I really wish a development team would get it right with a rogue type class. When I think rogue, I think an agile person. Give the class a decent amount of evasion. Make them hard to hit. But they don't have lightsabers or the force. They have vibroknifes. How does a vibroknife do more then a lightsaber? Lessen there burst. Make it more sustained. Would help in PVE as well. No class should have a sustainable stealth. This is for all stealth classes, assassins are strong as well. At lvl 10 I was hitting fully champion geared 50's for over 3k dmg. Give stealth a 45 second duration, gives them plenty of time to pop it get away or engage there target on there terms. Give them an in-combat stealth on a 1:30 cooldown. Take away the position requirements for certain abilities. Instead, allow those abilities to do more damage from a certain position. Increase survivability through armor, or evasion. Fixed. Now you have a stable class thats useful in endgame raiding, is fun difficult and rewarding to play. And you lessened the frustration other people feel when they get burnt in one CC.
  10. Its sad. I think most of the empire gear looks pretty terrible. My BH is lvl 50 I have my champion gear.... It looks horrible. Then I run into a Trooper with lvl 50 champion gear and just want to rip my eyes out because of how awesome they look. Then I look at Big Bird (aka: Inquisitor) then look over at the consular.... Once again with the eyes ripping. Sith Warrior... Jedi Knight:... Aside from the helmet the Knights get... it looks more Star Wars then McSpike. Dont even get me started on RoboCop sith warrior PVE armor. The only good set I've seen at endgame is the operative PvE.. Everything else looks like it was designed during the bring your kindergarteners to work day.
  11. ....Worst...Idea.... Ever. One of the main reasons I even stay playing this game is because this 'feature' ISNT in. Warzones pop all the time. Why would you help destroy the community by putting this in? Its awesome being able to see people I warzoned with a few minutes ago and then group up with them for a HM flashpoint. Way to bend to the forum rage Bioware... way to break.
  12. My suspicion is that they are fixing some of the hardware issues they were having earlier and that is why its going to be down for so long. I doubt patches here on will be so long/hope they won't be so long.
  13. There are things to be done for RPers on there server. Its currently what my guild and I do: Report is the number one function to be used. You don't need to contact them and cause yourself stress or them stress by chancing an argument. If they are in violation a GM will make them change there name anyway upon the report. DO NOT group with these people. Shun them. Keep them from advancing through content, eventually they will join a guild that accepts there name or will move to another server/reroll/ask for there own name change. If I am out and about and see a Republic player, as I am Empire, and see someone with a name like this I destroy them. I then proceed to explain to them why I killed them. We can only hope that once the free month is up a majority of these people will move on back to the game they came from. Lets keep in mind that Bioware isn't focusing on the naming policy right now. They have bigger things they NEED to be doing. Fixing the FPS problem, the class quest issues preventing people from doing all the Hard Mode Flashpoints/Dailies on Illum. In my opinion Bioware is dropping the ball, but not because of failed naming policy, though it does get under my skin, its because of these other glaring mistakes that made it into beta. So lets give them some time to sort it out. They know how we feel about it, we continue to report violations and hope that once things clam down on Biowares end they start enforcing these other issues.
  14. Way to be a &^* in a thread about lvl 50 BH's looking for answers. I have been doing PvP if you must know. I have done the Flashpoints. Operations are not in my frame of mind until the rest of my Guildies hit 50. Bioware doesn't need your white knight attitude there capable of defending themselves. Nor do I need Mr. State the Obvious. Illum is the lvl 50 planet. For when not running Flashpoints. Doing Dailies is what you do in the mean time. Not everyone wants to run Huttball 24/7.
  15. You know its great and all the Dev's know about the problem. But incompetence is not excusable. There should be a work around to allow us that have finished to go to Illum and do dailies. Give us something in return. This is beyond comprehension how such a big bug made it through to launch. I have to spend the remainder of my free month waiting to be able to play..... You know the workaround would be great if people would have actually know about it before completing the quest. Maybe send a mass email to all BH's, wait that would take to much effort. You know if you fix the issue before the maintenance there is a such thing as an emergency patch, and considering how game breaking this is... you get the point. I didn't bring this character to 50 just to have to wait a week to be able to play it again....
