I'm a 39 Assassin full Madness spec and I had no trouble using Khem at the moment. Elites causes me no trouble if they are alone. If they have company I usually Mind trap the elite, kill their companions an then the elite himself. I use Khem because i like to be behind the target to use Maul when duplicity procs and if you have the aggro you have to cc the elite to do it. Usually I kill elites the fastest I can and Khem Val does not even die. Just spend some money on tank gear for him and he will be fine. Also save your stun for emergencies and if everything fails just stealth yourself and try it again.

I like your full madness build, it looks a lot like what I had in mind. Do you think it will be useful for PVE too?As someone stated before, the main role for the Madness sin on PVE is doing a lot of damage, and with that build the only dmg loss is that there is no chain shock (and shock is only used on special situations)

Good to know. I'm not finding any build with both UK and Chain Shock that convinces me, so I think I'll try with some shockless builds for the moment and see how I feel about them. Thanks again!

Thanks for the answer! I don't really understand why Chain Shock is related to Unearthed Knowledge. The first gives a chance to cast a second shock on the target, but Unearthed Knowledge is used to rise your melee damage 10%. At level 2, UK gives 100% chance, so I don't see the goal of having an additional Shock unless is related to the dps it adds. It is worthy to spend three points on it just to have a chance to do more damage on a skill that I will only use for the buff of UK?

Well, I'm taking a look at 1.4 skilltrees and since Lightning recovery is now far from reach, I can use those 2 points for Unearthed Knowledge and have the 10% bonus from shock plus parasitism. Still not getting Chain Shock http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#200McZhZfrbRrRkrfz.2 Any thoughts?

Hi everyone. I'm currently leveling an Assasin (Madness spec, lvl 30) and I'm really enjoying it. I like the versatility of the class a lot and I think it suits my kind of gameplay so far. I'm thinking about a build like this : http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#200McMZhZfrbRrRkMfz.2 but I have some doubts in my mind: -I'm not using Shock almost for anything, so Unearthed Knowledge and Chain shock are a waste of points for me. I will use these points on Parasitism, but I don't know if it is worthy. -I have read some arguments for not spending points in Duplicity, but I find it very useful and right now it is a good portion of my DPS (Only surpased by deathfield). Maybe it is just because I'm not 50 but... Why is not so popular? - If finally I get convinced not to spend points on Duplicity...which would be your choice? Insulation? Electric Execution? I use my toon mainly for PVE Questing atm with some PVP, but I don't really know which way I'm going, because right now I'm enjoying both. Thanks for reading!
