Lana, as a character in this game, is very important to me. This thread seems to have apparently convinced the devs to sideline the character, which is annoying and disappointing and is spoiling MY enjoyment of the game. If you all manage to convince them to remove her, through leaving or through death, then that will ruin MY enjoyment of the game, and most likely drive me out of playing altogether. Which will cost Bioware a dedicated, paying subscriber. Just back off and think about other people, would you, please? I'm really tired of whiners ruining games for me. It's happened too many times.

The story-driven aspect of SWTOR is what drew me in and kept me playing all this time. Then, I was given the opportunity to flirt with Lana in "Shadow of Revan"... "They're letting me play a same-sex romance?? This is freakin' AWESOME!" I looked forward to flirting with Lana every chance I got, got teary-eyed over the cutscenes together, and got to where I just loved hearing Lana's voice (I could listen to Lydia Leonard read the ingredient list from a box of crackers and be perfectly happy). I cried when we kissed goodbye at the end of Revan. Into KOTFE... again flirted every chance I got. Almost kissed before Koth interrupted us. Kissed before I went off to the trap on Asylum. Lana saved me again when Arcann impaled me. The infamous Chapter 9... At this point, I don't remember what actually happened in the cantina after I said I needed to speak to Lana alone, but I definitely chose Lana to speak to. I always chose Lana to speak to and flirt with, whenever the opportunity came up. I was a bit puzzled that there were no more flirting options after that point in the story, but I had no idea what the problem was (or even that there WAS a problem) until a couple of weeks ago when I stumbled on videos of people PROPOSING to Lana. ***? What happened?? That's when I learned about the "Lana Romance Bug", and that my romance flag had either never been set properly or had been erased. Customer service will only say "We can't fix it", but don't say WHY they can't fix it. (They got T7 back for me when he disappeared from my companions list, with no fuss. Makes it hard to believe or accept that they can't fix my romance flag.) I was never offered the "An Error in Alliance Records" mission, because apparently to even get it, the romance flag had to be set properly. Mine wasn't. I've been back and forth with customer service several times over this. They refuse to help, or to explain why they can't. This is killing my enjoyment of the game and the story, and I am beginning to consider dropping my subscription and moving on to another game. Come on, management! This has apparently been a major issue since 2015! I want my Lana! FIX THIS!

Hey. Here we are in November of 2018, and I've only just discovered this issue. Like other people, after flirting/romancing with Lana throughout Revan and KOTFE, it seemed odd that flirt options disappeared and nothing else was ever mentioned, but I just assumed it was the story. Not until these last couple of weeks did I discover the "Lana Romance Bug" and that my flag had not been set, the romance was not locked in, the marriage proposal was never an option. I missed out on the "Error in Alliance Records" mission as a fix for the proposal, because of the bug where my romance flag was never set. Contacting customer service about this now, I am told "tough luck". We have gone back and forth several times, and the response I get is "We can't fix it", but with no further explanation as to WHY they can't fix it. I want to take this issue to higher authority but I've no idea how. Either the customer service person's manager, or whatever, whoever. I saw in another thread that there was apparently a petition sent to someone named Trait... how did anyone even figure out who to send the petition to? This aspect of the story is very important to me, and this screwup on their part and refusal to fix it is killing my enjoyment of the game and got me thinking seriously of dropping my subscription and moving on to something else.

When I discovered that T7 had disappeared from my companions list, customer service was able to get him back for me. When I contacted customer service with the Lana issue, a different person has been responding to my tickets and saying "tough luck, you're screwed". Why is it apparently impossible for the romance flag to simply be set by someone on their end? Is there any technical reason why it can't be done?

Seriously, if it's just a flag, why is it so damn difficult to just reset the thing? Anyone? Is there any technical reason why this can't be done? It's pissing me off because this is my main character, my favorite character, my "immersion" character. I really don't care if any of my alts get through with no issues; I care about THIS character.
