  1. Just shows how bad my Luck is, I guess. Then again, after spending $200 (real money) on the DeepCore Hypercrates & not getting a Monocycle, I should have known better than risk all of my credits.
  2. I didn't know there was a "strategy" to the slot machines. Started out with buying 5K worth of the Green Tokens. I was surprised to end up with 3 Blue Tokens. Switched over to buying the Blue Tokens. Didn't get the achievement for a blown up machine. Walked away, broke, with the one worthless Gold Certificate. The Hutts could have at least comped me a Twi'lek. Hell, in Vegas I could have been getting a BJ while throwing away 1M.
  3. Those damn Hutts & their rigged Slot Machines! 1M credits & all I got was 1 lousy Golden Certificate!
  4. I have bought 5, that's right FIVE, Hypercrates today & 13 single Core packs.... I didn't get a single Monocycle!!! Not too mention, two of the single Packs went POOF! when I clicked them! Character did the little dance, but no pop-up window with inventory appeared. With my luck, one of those errant packs had the Mono in it Yes, before anyone else says it, I know I am an idiot for wasting all that money!
  5. It doesn't bother me one way or another. Just like people cry over gold farmers & those who buy from them. My ego is not so eggshell that what someone else does or not have will affect my game play. You want to spend hours farming mobs for a certain piece of gear, like we had to do in EQ, go for it. If you want to pay someone else to do it for you, go for it. All I did originally, was make a sarcastic comment concerning people both crying for and against stuff being available to everyone. If someone took it personaly, obviously, they have an issue they are not admitting to.
  6. Apparently you didn't smell the sarcasm. And it really isnt hard to make money in this game, even for me who has HORRIBLE luck on drops & item rolls. So allowing players to now buy items that used to be drop only IS "redistribution".
  7. Welcome to "Entitlement" generation. You dont have to earn anything anymore. It's all about "Redistribution".
  8. Personally, I always found level cap to be the end of the game for me. probably why I never understaood why some people feel a need to rush to get there as fast as possible. Doing dailies & grinding for cash (which you probably dont need anymore) gets boring fast. I'll do a short raid or two, but if I have to grind them out repeatedly for some item, the appeal for said item will drop far more quickly than it does.
  9. I understand where your thoughts are headed, but much like Socialism, what looks good on paper & may be in your heart, doesn't jive w/reality. being able to earn more from players would allow a company to either higher more employees or even better ones, BUT reality would function differently. EA would suck up those extra dollars like a crackhead on welfare. Whats really funny is that people are flocking to F2P games, yet if they stopped & thought about it, they might wonder why companies are so quick to adopt such a policy. F2P generates alot of money, because players (over-all. not true for all of course) tend to spend more money on micro-trasanctions than they would on a monthly fee. When you get consumers to pay that way, they tend not to see the bigger picture of costs. Micro-transactions is a huge draw in the asian markets, which is why Blizzard is steering in that direction. I personally would gladly pay $25 a month if I was assured the money was going back into the company for employees & developement.
  10. Only issue I ever have, is how hard it seems to get Ashara's affection leveled. It seemed until she got over 3K, no matter what I gave her nor what level it was, 31 points is all it was worth to her. Most were 28 points. That's ALOT of gifts I had to give her.
  11. Gary Gygax based his game on Tolkien & the like. He never based it on some phsychology healing tool. I interviewed him & other game designers (Steve Jackson for example) many years ago. Also was fortunate enough to have played games w/him.
  12. I agree w/you. That was part of my "azz-hats". Many of us keep a "no invite" list. Be a a jerk, ninja, speed clicker, etc & you go on the list. You will never been in a group of mine or a guildies. We have the power to police ourselves. I encourage everyone to do so.
