  1. You guys know this, but space was an expansion years after SWG was released. Space is not the highest priority right now, and it shouldn't be.
  2. It sounds like your main focus is dps, so I would go marauder.
  3. Don't complain on how easier you want games than what they already are. Things should be challenging, not handed to you on a silver platter. Not trying to be mean, but I'm tired of seeing complainers rant about how hard games are. Compared to how it was back with EQ, this is nothing in comparison.
  4. IMO, losing a couple of devs shouldn't change the direction of a game. It's supposed to be about the players, but seeing as this isn't a perfect world, I could see why the game's direction would be side tracked. In the end, I can only hope that the game remains a game and not a cash cow star wars theme park.
  5. Tell me you didn't see this coming? Let's not get naive and think for a second that everything isn't profit driven. Every company, even bioware, has to make a profit. If we want to see this game exist, profit has to be made. You know this. Everyone knows this. Then of course, everyone has a doctorate in economics and knows how the MMO genre has to be done to THEIR liking. I'm not saying we can't criticize certain aspects of the game, that's how improvements are made, but be realistic.
  6. They should title it a replica of Revan's gear. If anything, I don't want to see a whole bunch of Revan wannabes running around fleets. This gear should be earned through raids anyways.
  7. Everybody wants content out the back door like this game has been out for 2 years, you should be lucky this game exists at all. I think bioware is doing a great job, but everyone wants to complain if THEIR version of star wars isn't done right. I will say this: The jedi experience in SWG, though unforgiving and relentless, was about as close as your going to get to actually EARNING the class. Given the time period, it makes sense that jedi would be a starting class for SWTOR. Also, the sandbox genre of mmos was golden, and SWG in it's prime was bustling, but we've moved on to a generation of MMO players who want their experience handed over on a silver platter (you can thank WoW for that) So you can't blame the developers for trying to make an MMO to appeal to everyone, we can only blame ourselves.
  8. Any assistance would be appreciated.
  9. All right, since my previous thread was close, I've been having problems with my laptop for the past couple of days, and what I thought was originally problems with TOR actually ended up being problems with playing games on my notebook in general. I keep it well ventilated with a deal that props it up and keeps it tilted. This prop also has two 120mm fans underneath it and I've never had a problem with playing games up until recently. I've posted my dxdiag below You may be thinking "He's got an old driver" well yeah, and I've tried updating it with catalyst (after uninstalling both catalyst and my drivers several times in safe mode) but catalyst won't open because it always says the "host application" stops working. So I can't update my drivers. Again, this is with any game that I play. It will just completely shut itself down without any warning or reason. I've played games that are more graphic heavy than TOR and have never had problems. I realize it isn't the game but rather it's on my end and after about a week of troubleshooting I'm ready to just reformat everything. Any help would be much appreciated.
  10. You'll hear it from me as you've heard from others. The game just launched. Let bioware worry about all the other "goodies" once their foundation has been placed and fixed. Patience is a virtue and continued support will only make the game better.
  11. Well that and I think it''s still being sculpted to make sense. You wouldn''t want Bioware or lucas arts just shoving some ol bull**** out there like Lucas did with the prequel movies to Star Wars would you? It also has to make sense with the scope of things. If the Jedi lorekeepers are still researching data about the past, it wouldn''t all just appear infront of their eyes would it? Many things may remain unwritten or unfound within holocrons, fractions of memories or written data that need to be puzzled together.
