  1. I'm having this issue too, unacceptable that this glitch has been going on so long.
  2. 2 major cutscene bugs for the Jedi Consular quest 'Alliance of Opposites'. 1) Nadia Grell's NPC model is equipped with a lightsaber, should be holding a blaster in cutscenes but uses the lightsaber... as if it were a blaster, whoops. 2) Idle NPC Models on the Defender remain visible in cutscenes, resulting in duplicate characters, faces coming out of characters necks, and, this one is the best, Nadia's disembodied voice floating through the air as the camera focuses on her father's twin's chest. Lovely. I've created a bug report for each issue, but though creating a thread for this problem would help highlight a fairly bad immersion breaking bug.
  3. So on the hole I approve of the changes to the 1-60 content made in 4.0, level scaling keeps the options for end game activity up, the level progression is streamlined which is nice for replay value. Mostly this is good. The down side however seems to be the complete gutting of challenge from 1-50's solo story content. I can win fights almost always by just spamming 1 a couple times and whole boss tier enemies crumble before me. Normally I'd just ask for a shadow of the old difficulty arc to be brought back, but I think perhaps what might be a better options is a Hard Mode challenge story line that you can opt into thru a toggle in the menus. This of course would be restricted to main story zones, but since almost all of the main story missions are located in a personal phase I don't see why it wouldn't be like the various difficulty settings on flashpoints.
  4. I came to a very sad realization today. I'm heartbroken by it. I can't in good faith, keep spending money on a game that doesn't challenge me anymore. I blew through 3 boss fights today on my Jedi Knight. It was only after the third had been taken care of, the Possessed Kira from the chapter 1 climax, that I realized that it took no more effort to defeat her then any trash mob enemy I'd encountered all day. When my sub expires at the end of the month, I won't re-up. Bioware, I'm begging ya, please, PLEASE, rebalance the difficulty curve of the 1-50 game areas, make boss fights be actual boss fights again. No this isn't about the level sync, I think that's a good move, but you've watered down the combat in the main game so much that it's made the sync redundant. I'm playing a level 35 Guardian that already feels like I'm ten levels ahead of everything I fight. I love ya Bioware, and I love the fantastic, wonderfully immersive universe you've crafted. All I ask for is that you engage me with your game play as much as you've engaged me with your story.
  5. Just suggesting adding helmets for Jorgan, Elara, and Pierce as their starter gear, since low level trooper helmets that look like the standard type of trooper helmets are rare, and there is only one Imp trooper helmet that I know of in the game.
  6. 1) Put the toggle to show them into the Preference Menu. 2) DON'T AUTOMATICALLY HAVE IT TOGGLE OFF! I honestly thought for two weeks you guys quitely cut a lot of questing content out of the game. I looked in the patch notes and didn't see that so then I figured it was bugged somehow after I went searching for the option in, what to me was the only logical place to put something that turned off a bunch of side quests, preferences. This wouldn't have been so annoying to discover if when I did go up to a NPC I knew previously as a quest giver that they wouldn't respond with the cutscene to do so. This is a silly issue and it has a easy fix. Put the toggle in the intuitive place, and make it a option you have to actively opt into as the default. Thanks. Edit: and yes I do realize that they said in the 4.0 patch notes that the map had a toggle for "showing/hiding" Exploration Missions. I'd probably have figured out what that actually meant if they had said disable/enable which is it's actual function. So please don't think your terribly cleaver for pointing that out. BW didn't use clear wording and it on them that it took me two weeks to see that.
  7. So no one here has ever played a shadow/assassin huh? Yeah, pointless complaint is pointless.
  8. that's another good point and one that I can see reasonably happening. Bioware has always been a ... thrifty developer, they like to recycle resources when possible and that's be a good way to expand the game using the least resources. We shall see if that is true in the coming weeks and months.
  9. It's be really easy to be a snarky bastard right now and just leave "Git Gud" in this spot but I'd hate to be a ahole. On the other hand... yeah sorry, sometimes games need to be work. I've been in your shoes back two years ago when I was a noob and didn't know the mechanics. The only advice I can give is practice, practice, practice, your gear is the most important part of the game, not your level. And again, sorry if this sounds aholy, but if you can't, thru proper work, planning and tactics get thru your story quests solo then this might just not be the game for you.
  10. Seeing that KotFE appears to be much longer then either RotHC or SoR on launch. I'd say it'd be shocking if you couldn't hit 65 just doing that content. And even if you can't do it with your first character, next time you level a new toon you'd hit 65 within the Mid range of the content most likely, just like you can easily hit 60 shortly after arriving on Rishi in SoR. There is enought content in the base game to hit 55 on Corellia or Illum, when you put all of RotHC, SoR, and KotFE you shouldn't have to backtrack if they've scaled the needed XP to gain a level properly. Also don't forget there is regually schedualed content slated post launch well into next year. Ultimately all the Downsyncing on older planets will result in is more content to PLAY once you've reached the cap, instead of mindlessly walking thru out dated missions on a max character.
  11. Going to point out, it's very possible for Vitiate to be Valkorion. Vitiate has been around a long, long time, and it's a good bet he'd set up a back up plan in case either he lost control of the Sith Empire, or that the Republic was victorious in the war. So at the end of SoR when he's been restored to power by the deaths on Yavin he's stuck without a power base to complete his goals of killing everyone in the galaxy. To make matters worse the Empire and Republic have been cooperating to actively fight him, which means they aren't fighting eachother and fueling him anymore. Time to call in his back up plan and possess his puppet ruler. But surely this new Empire couldn't just come out of no where and curb stomp both Republic and Sith Empire. It's not like that's been completely established within the realm of possiblity previously in the canon. It's not like both Republic and Sith had been weakened from years of drawn out wars and infighting... oh wait. Yeah that's completely reasonable. And of course "Valkorion" wouldn't go around advertising he's going to whip out all life in the galaxy, he's already lost the support of one Empire because no one wanted to be apart of that. The final battle with Vitiate is clearly forshadowed in SoR, and Vitiate's habit for Xanatos Gambits have been shown through out the game. So it'd be rather weird for this big story turn not involve him. In summery, yeah, schemer is going to scheme. And any schemer is going to have more then one plan.
  12. The old Verpine sets look awesome but are a pain in the *** to get your hands on now that they can't be bought with coms anymore. Putting them into the Cartel Bazaar would be a good way to access these old armor sets for those of us who want them but don't want, or can't run ops to get the random drop or Underworld tokens.
  13. My Guardian's butt clips through many types of jedi robes, a issue not present in body types one and two. I've had to switch out better looking robes for something I don't like as much because of this highly visable flaw. Also for some reason bracers clip through slimmer or streamlined gloves like Satele Shan's gloves. This is a really annoying and ongoing bug and every time I see it it instantly takes me out of the moment in cut scenes where the camera quite often hovers on my character at about wrist level when a NPC is talking to me.
  14. huh... okay then, honesly I'm a little surprized that this one happened but I'll take it!
  15. No, I don't know what rock you've been under but FPs and Ops have not been fine for a very long time now. It's gotten to the point where if your a dps and you don't have more then a hour to wait in the queue then you might as well not bother queueing to start with and just pvp instead. This overhall is nesscary, and frankly, should have been implemented back at 3.0.
