  1. I main Consular and can confirm, it's Tol Braga.
  2. EU - Darth Malgus. Since I was on a big break before the new patch and never had this happen before, some people in chat told me it's been like this since Jedi Under Siege launched.
  3. So I don't know what's wrong exactly, but Coruscant is really unpleasant to play right now. There is massive input lag and spikes, and it doesn't really indicate it in the latency counter. Latency stays the same, but there's often over 1 second input lag from pressing a button to the character executing it. This is happening exclusively on Coruscant, haven't tested Dromund Kaas. As soon as I leave to another world gameplay returns to butter smooth. Tested before and after the patch, not fixed. I had hoped it would be... It's not just me too. Any time I ask in general chat people are reporting the same issues. No indication of high ping, but massive input lags. Safe to say with Jedi Under Siege and the supposed wave of newcomers, it's not going to be the most pleasant new player experience, as Coruscant is the second world these players visit. I had to rush it through as the gameplay was unbearable, now I'm back for some vendors and it's still the same.
  4. Recently started playing, after about 2 years break. I got through all the content released in the past 2 years in 2 weeks of moderate play. In 2+ years all they managed to release is 1 universal storyline much shorter than any of the original class stories, few flashpoints and 2 raid bosses. 2 raid bosses in over 2 years! Remind me now what exactly are we subscribing for?
  5. Don't forget you aren't part of the Republic or the Empire anymore. As a light side jedi, the obvious choice for me would have been the republic, but I instead chose the Empire, because I prefer to keep my enemies close so I can keep them in check. So if republic soldiers and members of the jedi order had to die because of that decision, I decided it was for the best. For a Jedi to participate in such traitorous operation meant they were already on the path to the dark side, they left me no choice. Also the Republic always bounces back stronger when there is a big adversary in front of it, so there's no doubt in my mind they would be okay, the Empire on the other hand is barely held together by Acina. I liked the choice, I like it even more that they didn't attach light or dark side to it, it really isn't about that anymore.
  6. I was really confused by this too, they scale all the rest of the game, but not the 60+ content. Just why?
  7. Basic starter gear is not fine, the quality of leveling armors is horrendous. I checked out the highest tier armor for my class and it looks almost exactly like the green set you get from finishing KOTET, just with a bit more detail. MMOs in general revolve around making you character looking cool. Full free to play MMOs can afford to have the best cosmetics behind a pay wall because they provide all the gameplay content for free, but subscription based MMOs cannot afford to do that, hence why SWTOR is tanking. They put way more effort into the cartel shop, rather than the core game. You can't have it both ways, they are either going to go full free to play or they simply need to stop with this cash shop nonsense.
  8. Can anyone explain to me why they require a subscription for end game content and activities, but don't really provide any rewards for it? Since I recently resubbed after a long break, greatly enjoyed the story content and couldn't wait to get into end game so I can find a nice looking set for my character. I quickly found out that I actually can't really do that, because the items obtainable with gameplay are ridiculously god awful and the real good stuff that I can see myself RP with is in the Cash Shop. Not even that, but you actually can't even buy the best looking sets and cosmetics, you have to buy loot boxes and pray to the RNG gods. So what I did is I just bought one of the sets available for cartel coins, which isn't even close to the great looking sets, but still looks far better than anything I can obtain in the game and now I don't need to play this character anymore, even though I want to. But why would I play it if there's nothing to play for? This game isn't free, I need to keep my sub up, but I don't really need to play to get the stuff I want, I need to open my wallet and buy boxes from the cash shop. It's really counter intuitive. There are a ton of end game systems, but no rewards to speak of. Why should I continue playing, to increase my hp and damage numbers? WoW is also a subscription based MMO and the vast majority of players play that game to get the newest awesome looking armors and mounts. So why would anyone play SWTOR, which costs exactly the same, but gates the cool loot behind another paywall randomized at that? After finishing all the class stories and then the KOTFE/KOTET once or twice, there is no incentive to continue playing. Had the game been 100% free to play, then I can see why they would put the good cosmetic in their cash shop, but as it stands right now, I'm just going to finish the few remaining class stories I have to finish and be done with SWTOR until another story chapter releases.
  9. I'm not sure if it was mentioned, but I think it also makes a lot of sense for Consular to be the leader of the Eternal Alliance, since the character is a diplomat, that was instrumental in the Republic winning the war against the Sith Empire. Not to mention the worlds she/he managed to unite and the loyal connections that were made. Every other class seems to just drop like a brick into the Outlander story, but Consular just progresses smoothly into it, this time a bigger empire to defeat and an even bigger diplomatic mission. Having played through some of the other class stories, it just makes way less sense for them to be this leader.
  10. I just finished the Eternal Empire expansions for the first time and it was a full run 1-70 with a female consular. I found the class story really good, although the voice acting was a bit tame, but as soon as I moved on to the latest expansions the voice acting went from tame to superb. I don't know who the actress is, but she did a fantastic job and I think I enjoyed the Outlander story more than I should have because of her. Top notch!
  11. Hey ho people! I recently came back to the game after not playing since 2015 and the game looks almost like a new game. The graphical fidelity is fantastic, the armors, the lighting and the shadows look amazing! Not only does everything looks much better than I remember, but it also runs butter smooth. I'm still going through the classic story and sometimes I have to pause and enjoy how awesome everything looks! I tried to google it, but the game has gotten so many patches since then. Could anyone give me a rundown of what changed graphically since 2015? I'm seriously impressed! The game looks fabulous! Cheers!
  12. After all that is out of my chest, let me say, that I am happy there are Star Wars fans out there who are happy with this expansion and are getting their SW fix. I truly wish I was one of you guys, but after having played a proper RPG(W3) for the whole summer, this just doesn't seem to be doing it for me anymore.
  13. Honestly I was very excited about this expansion, even if I didn't like the premise that much, I still dug the idea of fully story focused SWTOR, like a substitute for KOTOR 3. However I can't find a way to enjoy it at all. It really isn't KOTOR 3 and adding story, but keeping the same old gameplay, that is basically a carbon copy of WoW just without the auto attack, makes the whole experience extremely lame. I'm mashing buttons and stuff dies, then I watch a cutscene and repeat the whole process. Not to mention, that the only saving grace of the original SWTOR, which in my opinion was the extremely well portrayed struggle between the sith empire and the galactic republic is replaced with some ridiculous eternal empire, that looks more like it came out of Mass Effect. It's so out of place with colors, characters and styling. Not to mention the all powerful god emperor and his family drama. It's lame and boring on so many levels, that I'm currently sitting on Act 6 and I can barely finish it. I will admit here, that I was massively wrong. Trying to make it story focused was a MISTAKE. You can't turn a MMO into a proper RPG, it just doesn't work. So now it's no longer MMO, but it's also a terrible RPG. So it's mediocre overall. Now I can imagine all these resources being poured into the MMO part of the game and I think it could have improved the game immensely. The sad part is that they know it. They know it's full of cringe and terrible gameplay, but they will milk it because they know that people crave KOTOR and this is the closest they will ever get to it. So it's logical really. I don't plan on ever subscribing to this again. It's not out of anger or something really negative, I just can't seem to enjoy it.
  14. Please don't change it. Companions finally feel like real side kicks, that can hold their own. Before they were useless, now I feel like I could count on them, just like I am supposed to, like partners do.
  15. What do you mean? I'll still have it after I unsub? Well that's so unlike EA.
