  1. This still is a subscription game and will remain a subscription game after the f2p switch. You guys are freaking out about something that you made up in your head. Nowhere does it say you have to buy anything from the store.
  2. LOTRO has lockboxes. The keys also drop and they hand them out all the time for free. You can buy them yes but you do not have to buy them. Honestly its a sucker bet anyways because 90% of the boxes will contain garbage. Like scratch off lottery tickets.
  3. Ive never purchased any of the "perks". Leveling is already too fast and easy I dont need a xp boost. I am fine with using a speeder at 25 I dont need one at lvl 10. Heck most of the time I dont use the speeder anyways. If more unlocks were global I might consider it. To me I have better things (like gear) to spend my credits on.
  4. No I am not confused at all. You are the one who is confused. You have now been shown proof you are wrong yet you insist on saying that v1 was available for retail sale. It was not. v2 was the first time it was available as a door game commerically. Even in your own link it says that. So sorry but you are 100% wrong. You have no idea what you are talking about and only going on about some wikipedia link. I on the other hand lived it. Go ahead tho keep being bullheaded and insist even when proven wrong you are still right somehow. Im waiting for the personal attacks to start now.
  5. Well I dont really care what you guarantee. I ran a for profit BBS from the 80s until 1996 and I know what door games were available. I purchased TW2002 as soon as it was available. I was there. The guy is making the whole thing up to try and back up his argument. Its why you shouldnt base your entire argument on wikipedia and a google search. Makes you look extremely foolish when someone who was there calls you on it.
  6. Look down at 1994 when it actually was released for sale... Before that date you couldnt get a copy of it unless you are the developer of it.
  7. It does not say it was released in 1991. It says it was developed in 1991. The game wasnt actually for sale to BBS owners until 1994. So unless he was playing it on the developers home BBS then he is lying. Probably checked wikipedia like you did and assumed since it was developed in 1991 it must also have been for sale in 1991. Also in 1991 9600 baud was the standard and 14.4 modems (like the USR HST) had just came out. So why he was using a 2400 baud modem which was years outdated is another thing that makes you go hmmm....
  8. Thats very odd since (as a BBS owner I know this very well) the tradewars door game was not available for purchase until 1994 and wasnt a stand alone game until 1998.
  9. Where do you get your numbers? 2 million people havent even played this game. According to all the numbers ive seen they have lost about 1 million subs or so. Which is a large number yes but when you consider a lot of them wanted SWG2 instead of KOTOR3 its not all that surprising. This game still has more players than supposedly popular games like LOTRO and DDO from Turbine. I wouldnt worry after Nov people will be tempted to come back and see improvements.
  10. Why on earth would they stop selling subscription cards? That would be stupid considering they will want people to pay a sub. Like LOTRO they will have the prepaid gametime cards and cartel coins cards. *edit* another thing I get so sick of hearing is people putting stock in what some anonymous minimum wage gamestop employee says. Simply is not true they will be "sending all gametime cards back".
  11. I have an ATI 5770. I have seen no real changes either way.
  12. Bioware has always put out the patch notes after the patch. They own the company so its kind of their call how they do it. I do not understand what the problem is. Also the build on PTS possibly was not the final build. They can add new things or make changes internally and not publish it to the PTS.
  13. I have never understood why they allow speeders in fleet.
  14. I have a cybertech. I made all the addons for my ship myself. Its not just me even someone else in this thread agrees. Maybe its easy for you so you assume its easy for everyone. If you have to have the 350 comm items to complete the mission then I dont see the point in doing it.
  15. I only did the whole thing on one character. Got the social armor and thats it. Thats all I wanted tho.
