  1. I play on Shadowlands, when I can actually get a match to pop. I run a couple of toons on both sides, so I'm rarely around more than 2 or 3 matches per toon per day. The GSF scene there is horrendous. I've seen 6 v 6 all Pub matches with a Q time over an hour. My guild used to run pre-made groups at the beginning, but everyone but myself has given it up. The Imp side was so miserable for so long that it scared off most folks. I do see a few folks that tend to hunt me down when I'm on, but they all seem to have those fancy characters that I don't know how to type. I can definitely second the Rogues and Cymbaline though. I've fought with and against both.
  2. I figure this is as good a place as any to give my thoughts on the Gree Event. I have had most of a week to do almost all of the content, and I think my opinion is about as formed as it can be. I've explained the Cons since those are the real meat of my post. PROS: - More content is always fun, can't argue with that - Interesting mission mechanics - New Gear, weapons, armor, etc. CONS: - NO explanation of things like the Blue Toras device. My DPS relies upon a companion to survive fights. Having him one shot and then dying multiple times figuring out not only that you can only use a quest item to fight AND can only use it when not debuffed for maximum effect, is not fun. Repair bills are WAY too high to not explain fight mechanics if they are the central point of a quest. - VERY low drop rate of quest items. Both the PVP quest for robots and the animal chips have insanely low drop rates versus how scarce the mobs are. I spent more time trying to find the animal chips than I did on all other quests combined - PVP griefing. I don't care what PVPers do in their own area, but when you are being forced into pvp because of flagged people wandering through your AoEs or simply healing the mob you're fighting that is not cool. SUGGESTIONS: I know it's too late and the devs undoubtedly think they made no mistakes, but hopefully they'll take the criticism to heart for future updates. - Segregate PVP on PVE servers. We carebears chose our servers because we do NOT want to participate. Forcing it on people is not good and the amount of anger I saw over this during the event was incredible. I know I have lost a lot of faith in the game after this event solely because of the PVP in this event I don't care if the PVP missions remain AND give those players a shorter route to the event items, but the two factions should only be in contact in that area. - Lower the mission reqs, increase the drop rates of quest items, or increase the number of mob spawns. We shouldn't have to scour the zone for these things. - Explain fight mechanics for the non-heroic or Ops level missions. Even if it's just a tooltip that would be enough. Blue Taros - "The only device capable of damaging the XXXX droid. This device does more damage if fully charged. Rapid use will lower the damage output" - Give some bonuses to those players that did the previous Gree Treasure Hunt missions. The whole point of that event was to gain favor with the Gree and when they show up I'm treated just like the guy next to me who still has the price tags on his jacket? You could've at least started us at the first Reputation level. It's not enough of a boost to do anything except give access to the gear sooner than the next guy. Overall this event was pretty underwhelming to me. I will work to get my reputation up enough for the gear, but I doubt I'll work for the max title. It's just too much of a headache and grief fest.
  3. 1. More color options for gear. I'm tired of gold on most BH gear, and orange or green on most Trooper gear. 2. Optional companions available through story arcs and trees. Lady of Pain would be SO much better than Skadge the ******.(and yes he threatens to do this the FIRST time you meet him) 3. Ability to have a Heroic Mission Q and having both it and the current group finder return you to your previous spot.
  4. I was really hoping the Lady of Pain would be a companion as well. I can't stand Skadge, and she could just as easily fill his 'enjoys killing' role. Plus, we get so few female companions as a BH. My female BH gets lonely having no one to talk to about boys and get makeovers with besides Mako, and ever since Torian joined she's been no fun at all.
  5. Neat thread. My 'cuts' are below. Most have probably been mentioned, but oh well. 1. Equipment having TWO looks depending on which faction is wearing it. Why are you limiting the number of styles a person can wear based on faction? Maybe my bounty hunter is and EX- Havoc member. Maybe my smuggler digs wearing Imperial outfits. Limiting the options seems silly. 1b. Along with the above, why not offer us a choice of symbols for armor instead of branding them with the Havoc logo or what-not. Heck, let us choose the symbols from a preset group. 2. MORE COLORS!!111!! I happen to like orange, but I like purple a LOT more and blue even more so. Why are all high level gear choices stuck with one color palette? 3. Hyperbole Wars. My guild recently 'heard' my half hour comedy routine/monologue on the subject, but seriously, can you fix the overuse of hyperbole on things? (Some examples below) = I can fly across the galaxy for fewer credits than it costs to take a speeder a couple of miles = NPCs constantly offer me a reward of 'riches' and 'every penny' etc. and these end up being a commendation and a handful of credits. = I recently finished an Empire quest on Belsavis where I was promised 'Technology not seen since the fall of the Infinite Empire". This reward turned out to be...a choice of commendation, mystery box, or armor mod that was worse than the mod given for the heroic I'd finished earlier. Apparently no one has seen these because they're laughably bad. 4. Inability to take a shuttle to my ship yet I can call a shuttle to pick me up from the sewer system on Coruscant or the deep prison depths of Belsavis without a problem. We even have priority transports to several locations now, but not our own ship? 5. Lack of branching story lines. If there is an option to save or let die an NPC, this choice should have REAL consequences to your story. Right now they don't, but wouldn't it be cool if these became optional companions? Would this entice most people to take the 'Save' option? Possibly, so the 'let die' option needs to have some benefit as well(or the save has some big negatives). Some Harder Ideas - Can we have Empire Troopers and Smugglers and Republic SIS Agents and Bounty Hunters? Anyone who has done the class quests knows that there are all of these exist. - Can we have robotic 'races'? - Can we have the option to kick companions or at the very least have a conversation path that shows us to be the ones in charge?(I'm looking at you Vadge and your "I'm leaving on your ship with or without you" comment to my ruthless bounty hunter) - Can you make some of the NPCs that could die or live based on choices be optional companions instead? Some of these are SO much more interesting than the companions we have.
  6. I hate Skadge. He's useless to me as a tank since I get better DPS from other companions or can get healing from Mako. From a 'story' purpose my character would have gunned him down the first time we met for interfering and costing me credits. Then when you actually 'recruit' him I chose to leave him behind. He said "I'm leavin' on your ship. With or without you. Get me?" And I DON"T GET TO GUN HIS UGLY BUTT DOWN?! I understand that BW doesn't want us to hurt ourselves by not having a full compliment of companions, but that's just ridiculous. At least let me smack him around and beat him into submission if I HAVE to take him along. Considering HK will soon be available, can we have the option to boot ONE companion?
  7. I have played a Medic Commando since I started the character, so I can only speak to it. 1) Others see us as acceptable healers if well geared and attentive during fights. We all but require being Guarded because Trauma Probe draws instant aggro from all non-taunted mobs in a fight. 2) I feel that in PVE with a tank or tanking companion I am all but unkillable so long as we don't over-aggro. In PVP we are a joke. The giant green beam of death makes us target #1 and we have minimal skills to aid survivability besides healing ourselves. Healing in FP and Raid fights that require moving is next to impossible(SOA's drops for example)
  8. With Free Server Transfers just starting, do you have goal in mind for how many players should be available to EACH faction during peak and off-peak hours? If so, what planet populations should we look for going forward? The reason I ask is that I have played for a week on low level characters on my server(which is NOT in any of last week's lists for transfers to OR from), and I averaged TWO people on the starter planets during Prime Time the entire time.(Eastern server from 7 to 10 pm on weeknights) I know the game has progressed a bit, but that is pretty sad. The fleet had no more than 40 people during the same hours when I changed characters for item transfers. Now that I've progressed to Dromund Kaas there have been around 12 people. Will anything every be done to make the CAPITOL planets of each faction actually have people on them?
  9. PLEASE tell me this portends the addition of an SIS agent class for the Republic side. I really want a main class on the republic side that uses sniper rifles.
  10. I don't mind that it is still around. I have only seen a few players with it, so maybe my server is mostly clean. It could also be contained to pvp, which is also fine and sort of humorous. One interesting note, I logged in a character that had not been used in over 2 months yesterday. There was no way she got the virus during the event, and she was clean when I first logged her in. I ran over to the mailbox in the main area of Quesh. When I clicked on the box she suddenly became infected. I was the only player on planet at the time(was 6:30am:p), so it must have been on the mailbox.
  11. Out of desperation my guild asked me to heal for HM Battle of Ilum. We had no issues despite it being my first time in that FP. Our guild Ops leader is a commando healer, so they are definitely viable. I would suggest getting lots of experience healing with them though. Ammo management can take a little getting used to.
  12. There is definitely an orange color version, but not sure about red. I believe the orange drops from an early FP, possibly Hammer Station.
  13. Even with the bug you can still make a profit from lockbox missions. I only run the Moderate reward ones, and average roughly 20% return on the investment. It isn't much, but the occasional schematics and crafting missions help boost the return a bit. It isn't the road to instant wealth, but if you aren't interested in regular crafting it makes a nice enough bonus to pick up for a little extra cash.
  14. I am not sure about the guilds on your server, but there are 3 or 4 well represented Rep guilds on Corellian Run. My guild routinely has at least 30 people on after lunch(east coast), and often has 50 or 60+. We remove inactive people daily and still struggle under the player cap. It seems strange that a crowded server doesn't have guilds to join with active members or people looking for heroics. Did you choose one with players not in your time zone?
  15. I bought every skill eventually, but Blitz and the stealth detection one were both useless for me. I don't use explosive Round either. Sticky Grenade, on the other hand, gets used in every fight. Against normal mobs I hit the melee one so he is stuck at range. The explosion will knock down Normals in the blast radius making it very useful. Against tougher enemies it is a nice fire-and-forget ability with no cast time. Even when healing I can switch targets, throw a sticky, and go back to healing in no time. The other beneit for sticky is as an Oh Bleep button for adds since it has the hold and knockdown. That is normally enough time to reposition and let the tank grab them.
