  1. I'm bumping this thread. I am a returning player that transferred from Pot5 after taking a little over a year off. I know this is a PvE server in name but seriously where are all the PvP guilds? FYI OP hell I'll start a team with you. I just want to melt people's faces.
  2. @Elfa I see where you are coming from on class restrictions for the BtL gear. However I will (politely) disagree on the gear needing to increase as you level. This is NOT a BOA system. I feel that would diminish rewarded gear and crafted gear as you level. What I was suggesting would still take work and possibly still use a crafted piece as a turn in (think stronghold fabrication pieces).
  3. I certainly think the upgrades could be simply "reset". Though I am not sure that would be a major point as though the weapons are in fact BtL, for it to be useful for a 3rd character, that would mean someone is rolling more than one at of the same kind (IE two characters that use double-lightsaber). I feel it could be better if you could not upgrade it and instead had to farm for a new piece (maybe world boss). Wow... that actually sounds kinda cool. Farming for inheritance gear from world bosses... and then being able to upgrade them as you level for basic comms....
  4. The Inheritance / Birthright system is all but dead and forgotten. I feel as though I have a neat little fix that wouldn't break the game and still be able to utilize a lot of the original design concepts for this system so it doesn't continue to go to waste. The problem: gear is far and away too easy to outgrow. So much that people rolling new characters often font even remember to use their tokens for turn ins. Devs don't want gear to just automatically grow with the character as it diminishes the value of drops/crafting from other players. The fix: Create an additional vendor that will allow you to bring your inheritance gear to them and update it for a cost. I feel that now that basic comms have replaced most of the other types, this would be an easy currency to take. Furthermore if each piece could be updated every 8 levels or so at the cost of 10 basic comms each, the system could be rewarding for people who put time into it and it could further encourage more participation in heroics and lower flashpoints. This could have a fair impact on how often people group to level. Additionally if you wanted to create a turn in that required something to be crafted that's a thought as well... Feedback?
  5. Hey guys and gals. I am a founder looking for a guild. I just came back to the game after a very long break (married, son was born) and I am falling back in love with SWTOR. But here's the skinny, I moved guys over here and started fresh with 12xp... and I realize, I miss my old guild terribly. I miss the "boys club" feel I had when playing and hanging out in TS3. Sooooooo, I'm really hoping I can find a new guild that can really cut loose and have a good time. I actually don't mind PvE but my heart lies with PvP. A little about me real quick: Dallas, TX; Husband-Father, Businessman, Geek, AFOL if any of you can figure that one out, Sports-nut. Also as a note, I would really like to find a guild with some "thick skin". I like to hang out with people who will talk trash with me... that's not to say I like to cross any lines, but if I spend enough time with you, AND I am friendly with you, you might hear some yo mamma jokes or something similar (if we don't know each other that well, I'm actually very polite). Hit me back if you think I might be a good fit, small guilds, big guilds, doesn't matter; I'm just looking for some people to hang with, PvP and tell jokes with. Thanks!
  6. You mean 90 minutes after a big patch download where everyone has to first re-learn how skills work, and then start leveling again before they are at cap? All of this during non-peak time.... Yep. Totally dead... everyone unsub.
  7. Hahaha yep. I loved that spec. I actually leveled all the way to 50 with it and it was so much fun. If you try the 8/2/31 with full wh you will want to stack aim augs over power as with full datacrons and the extra 9% you will wash with the power augs while still raising the crit a bit. I would link you my build but I'm at work. If I can find a chance to sit down tonight lol I will post it later.
  8. Ok, I would like to throw my 2 cents in. I am a vg vet since beta. The spec depends on your play style. The two specs I would recommend are the 8/2/31 (what I am currently running) or the 7/6/28 spec. The 8/2/31 takes advantage of the aim boost and the assault plastique (td). This gives me a lot more burst when I am trying to finish off a healer. I also like this build if you run 'interference' in wzs. The 7/6/28 has a lot more consistency with damage on long defends. As far as any uncontrolled aoe damage that was mentioned earlier, I will actually say that with this build I have defended nodes on alderaan and voidstar where I was the last one to die due to this splash damage, allowing my team the extra 6 seconds we needed to get back from our speeder or door open. It is my opinion that the ap (td) gives more burst and more killing blows, and that most 28 point builds might do an extra 2-3% damage overall due to those points being spent to increase dots or aim. Also might I recommend googling "swtor taugrim vanguard". Cheers Kodiac

  10. Vanguard DPS Why? Because I pvp. Anyone who thinks this class is boring/too easy.... Must not be laughing as hard as I do when I smash my forehead on the keyboard and get 3 killing blows back to back to back. ;-)
  11. Very cool, thank you! I just want to let everyone know this is now 100% complete! Thanks to everyone who helped me fill in the gaps!
  12. Thanks guys/gals for helping me add to if not complete this list. Unfortunately I am at work and won't be able to update this until tonight (don't want to do it on my phone right now Hahaha), but I will try to get this completed this evening. Thanks again! - Kodiac
  13. Hey guys thought this might be somewhere already, but couldn't find it with my friend the magic Google machine. I recently discovered what a pain trying to search the GTN for specific companion gifts is when I tried searching through for lower than grade 5 gifts. Cheers Mad thanks goes to: Umrattawil, Gespar, Dsan & Kreld for helping me complete this list 100% @JohnnyGatt thanks man! Ironically I have your page on my hotbar for firefox and the reason I started this was because I checked your site in the first place looking for this info. Hahaha. Anyone looking for the companion gift charts I recommend Johnny's site here: SWTOR FACE Current List 150/150 - Date 7/28/2012 (complete) Courting: Grade 1 - Gold Necklace Hand-Carved Voss Courting Jewelry Preserved Tarisian Rose Grade 2 - Hutt Affection Token Inlaid Corellian Love Stones Emotional Unity Focus Grade 3 - Authentic Tionese Cuisine Coin of Good Fortune Electrum Commitment Ring Grade 4 - Formal Clothing Tashelin Serenading Droid Flawless Adegan Crystal Necklace Grade 5 - Personalized Holoportrait Zeltron Personal Aroma Set Gree Temporary Mind-Link Device Cultural Artifacts: Grade 1 - Polished Meteorite Mantellian Puzzle Box Gree Personal Journal Grade 2 - Dubrillion Lizard Egg Hutt Feast Ingredients Relic of a Lost Culture Grade 3 - Primitive Staff Hand-Painted Pazaak Card Chronicle of House Panteer's Formation Grade 4 - Hutt Banner Alderaanian Noble Heirloom Writings of the First Mystics Grade 5 - Carved Runestone Signet Ring of Ancient Tion Memoir of the Unification Wars Imperial Memorabilia: Grade 1 - Imperial History Holo Relic of the Sacking of Coruscant Ancient Sith Mural Grade 2 - Imperial Battalion Flag Declaration of the Emperor's Will Archive of Known Sith Bloodlines Grade 3 - Imperial Military Records Imperial Service Medal Moff's Signet Ring Grade 4 - Philosophy of the Sith Code Imperial General's Dog Tags Decorative Sith Blade Grade 5 - Sith Opera Collection Banned Imperial History Document Account of the Discovery of Korriban Luxury: Grade 1 - Small Gemstone Fossilized Hutt Gallstone Killik Silk Linens Grade 2 - Polished Carapace Comet-Stone Drinking Glass Aged Chandrilan Wine Grade 3 - Intricate Holosculpture Pre-Republic Platinum Coin Youth Preservation Treatment Grade 4 - Tarul Wine Exquisite Cooking Spices Tionese Hovering Ornament Grade 5 - Handheld Orrery First Edition Galatic Encyclopedia Intricate Corellian Speeder Model Military Gear: Grade 1 - Survival Gear Advanced Recon Survival Kit Fitted All-Weather Bodysuit Grade 2 - Complete Camping Set Improvised Demolitions Toolkit Hyperwave Motion Detector Grade 3 - Homing Device Personalized Thermosuit SpecOps Camouflage Unit Grade 4 - Armor Maintenance Kit Encrypted Transmitter Multi-Spectrum Target Analyzer Grade 5 - Premium Field Rations Gourmet Ration Pack Omni-Vision Battlefield Relay Republic Memorabilia: Grade 1 - Republic History Holo Memento of the Battle of Alderaan Page of Gnost-Dural's Journal Grade 2 - Republic Planetary Flag Official Draft of the Treaty of Coruscant List of the Republic's Fallen Grade 3 - Republic Military Records Republic Service Medal History of the Great Hyperspace War Grade 4 - Replica of the Galactic Constitution Republic War Hero's Dog Tags Tython Explorer's Writings Grade 5 - Canister of Coruscanti Soil Republic Senatorial Oath Holorecord of the Republic Founding Technology: Grade 1 - Holoviewer Czerka Universal Translator Unlimited Access Security Breaker Grade 2 - Hutt Data Library Miniature Chemical Disassembler Auto-Updating Astrogation Chart Grade 3 - Droid Diagnostic Kit Kal-Reyon Experimental Implant Rakata Comprehensive Bioscanner Grade 4 - Expert Slicer's Spike VergeCorps Destablized Power Matrix Ancient Droid Memory Core Grade 5 - Pinpoint Welding Torch Aratech Reconstruction Toolkit Vial of Gree Nanite Paste Trophy: Grade 1 - Vrblther Skull Assassin Droid Hand Killik Hive Queen's Mandible Grade 2 - Sleen Tail Pantran Whitefang Hide Mutant Rancor Tooth Grade 3 - Nexu Claw Sterilized Rakghoul Claw Perfect Krayt Dragon Pearl Grade 4 - Humanoid Skull Greater Cthon Brain Sith Lord's Mask Grade 5 - Wraid Plate Galactic Crime Lord's ID Card Splinter of a Rakata Stronghold Underworld Good: Grade 1 - Underwolrd Rumor Sheet Hutt Space Preemptive Criminal Pardon Slicer Contact List Grade 2 - Hutt Hit List Tibanna Mining Shares Experimental SIS Listening Device Grade 3 - Military Contraband Quesh Venom Sample Honorary Hutt Cartel Membership Grade 4 - Incriminating Evidence Tionese Privateer Contract Droid Override Device Grade 5 - Fake Identity Documents Assassin Droid Target History Drayen Hyperspace Smuggling Routes Weapon: Grade 1 - Ammunition Belt Czerka Blaster Silencer Pre-Republic Slug Thrower Grade 2 - Padded Weapon Case Military Scope Set Taung Crusader's Vibroknife Grade 3 - Concealable Vibroknife BlasTech Ultralight Trigger Exotic Gree Heat Sink Grade 4 - Personal Armory Locker Star Core Overloaded Power Cell Emergency Blaster Detonator Grade 5 - High-Resolution Combat Recorder Energy Blade Bayonet Unique Rakata Grenade
