  1. Hello, Hello, I have been subbed to SWTOR for many years, and have played off an on since launch. I wanted to purchase the HK-55 Chapter: Shroud of Memory quest for a friend. However, when purchasing the item, to my dismay I see that not only is it bound, I received no warning that it was bound and also that I already have this content due to my subscriber status. It would not be such a big deal, but it is very expensive content. Please make this tradable after a cooldown period, or provide additional warnings when purchasing, thank you.
  2. Hello, on Begeren Colony I'm unable to load characters who I logged out on Alderaan. I get a long loading screen and eventually dumped to character selection. Furthermore, when trying to enter Alderaan with other characters, I get stuck on the loading screen and then dumped to character selection. Other people are reporting the same issue, please fix?
  3. Hi all, I've recently resubscribed to the game after a very long absence. I leveled a new character to try out all of the expansions, and just finished through SoR. After RotE, I guess it will be time to start KotFE. I've read that after KotFE starts, the character will be unable to access certain old quests/planets. I was hoping someone could give me more details about this? Once KotFE starts, I would like to know if I will be able to access my stronghold and do Heroics/Dailys/Weeklies/Solo Flashpoints from older planets? If so, I guess I will delay, as I'm still working on raising reputation on certain planets. I apologize if this is a dumb question, and thanks in advance.
  4. I'm happy for the people who feel good about themselves for not ever making this particular type of error. I feel confident they will continue to not make this type of the error if all prices have the same number of decimals! However, if multiple people are admitting to both making this mistake, and people are also admitting to trying to trick people, then what is the harm in unifying the GTN price formatting? It's just a number format change to make it easier on the eyes. Any professional service that you deal with in this world should display a list of prices with a consistent number format. While the issue may be user error, making this small improvement will reduce some number of petitions and complaints for Bioware. It will show goodwill to customers. It's low hanging fruit for improvement.
  5. As someone who works with thousands of numbers, financials, spreadsheets on a daily basis, and would also love it if they formatted every price consistently, whether it shows prices with zero or two decimals. It seems like a very simple quality of life improvement, that would really help with people making mistakes. I think I've done every stupid thing on the GTN including: 1. Bought 3 turadium for 1 million credits from someone. 2. Omitted a zero when listing some MK-9 augment kits while in a hurry (I am so happy for whoever got this fabulous deal) 3. Bought 99 of a decoration, thinking I was buying 1. (Completely my own fault, but I'm slowly making a small profit selling the excess decorations, and now my balcony in Coruscant has a fabulous theme!). I've also bought items that were obvious mistakenly priced, and then contacted the seller to see if they wanted to buy them back from me. I don't think that I'm a "stupid person who deserves to be taken advantage of". I am however, someone who needs glasses, and someone who's game sometimes lags when sorting listings. To idiot-proof myself, I now triple check everything that I buy and sell, and browse with an alt with a limited amount of credits so I can't accidentally buy something. As far as the moral debate in the other thread, I agree that everyone has the right to set prices how they choose. However, I think that intentionally trying to trick others into paying more than they intended shows a lot about someone's character. Perhaps it shows a lot about my character that I know obnoxiously undercut the particular person who fooled me when I see their other listings on the GTN. Anyways, a simple change to the formatting of prices would help a lot of headache.
  6. Thanks all for the advice! I had actually been leveling up the newbie Operative as Concealment with Treek and having lots of fun. I'm level 31 now, and running through Alderaan. Once Vector joins my crew, I plan to respec to group with him, and respec to Medicine to see how the gameplay feels. Then I'll re-evaluate again (maybe check out Lethality too!) By the time I decide, I'll have two level 50's, hehe : )
  7. Thank you so much for the replies, I have lots of ideas and think I know what to do now : )
  8. This sounds like fun! I have a bunch of old alts, but haven't played this game in more than two years, and so much has changed. Here are my preferences, and I'm interested in your opinion: Defence: 5 Support(Healing): 7 Damage: 9 Light Side: 10 Dark Side: 1 Empire: 5 Republic: 5 Lightsabers: 5 The Force: 7 Tech Gadgets: 4 Guns(Blasters, Snipers, etc): 5 Armour: Light or Medium Dual Wielding: Neutral Big Weapons: No Stealth: Yes (But I can live without it) Method of damage: Neutral, will be solo-leveling Scope of damage: Neutral, will be solo-leveling Favorite SW character: R2D2 from the movies, and Jolee Bindo from KoToR. Prior MMO experience/liked class(es)/etc: I usually play a glass-cannon dps, or some sort of healer/support person. Favorites include my WoW Shadow Priest, and my TSW leech healer and dpser. Please tell me my fortune, oh wise one?
  9. Thank you all SO MUCH! I haven't played this game in 2+ years, and finding some aspects overwhelming, so I really appreciate your help. I'm playing a newbie to relearn, but I have some old characters I'd like to replay too. I bought the two packs just so I could get a whole set of orange armor. I'm pleasantly surprised I got good extra stuff! I'm going to unlock the crystal, keep one set of armor for myself, give the other set to my friend, and maybe sell the toothpick. Then I will go back to playing the game instead of the cartel market! Happy playing to you all.
  10. Hi all! I was hoping someone could please explain a few things about Cartel Packs and the Collection? 1. Is it correct that you need an entire set in order to add to your collection and unlock it for your legacy characters for additional cc? 2. Is there a way to tell what items are part of a set or stand-alone? (And the other parts of the set?) 3. Is there a way to tell if an item is "rare" vs "super-rare"? 4. If an item isn't part of set, can I give it to a friend, and then will they have the ability to pay cc to unlock for their legacy from their collection? I'm asking because I just bought my first two packs. In one pack, I received an orange hat that looks like a toothpick, and what I do with it depends on if it is in a set. In the other, I received a level 10 crystal that adds +41ish power, and what I do with this depends on if this is something I can duplicate in my collection. (I only saw level 30+ crystals in the store. Maybe I'm bad at searching, or maybe this is a one-off item?) Apologies if these are dumb questions. I appreciate any help. : )
  11. Hello all! I have recently resubscribed to this game after a two year absence. When I quit, I had a level 50 Scoundrel. Eventually, I would like to check out the added content with once reacclimated. Unfortunately I've forgotten everything about this game and find myself overwhelmed! To help relearn, I rolled a new Operative, and find myself wanting to continue and finish her story too. So I was hoping for some info: Are the Dulfy's guides up-to-date and applicable for solo content? (They seem group oriented?) Are there other good forums, resource websites, or guides that are current? For the post 50 content - Is it easier to solo as as a Healer with a particular type of companion, or DPS with a particular tree and companion? Does the answer to the above also apply for leveling my newbie Operative, who is only level 13? If not, what skill tree and companion would be easiest? (She has Kaliyo right now, and I'm willing to pick up Treek). Much thanks! P.S. If gearing myself or the companion is a factor, I do have old characters with 400 Armstech and 400 Armormech (stop laughing at my crew skill choice indiscretions). However I'm credit poor for twinking (because of said crew skills). P.P.S. Flashpoints and PVP are not a factor at this time. I will respec when I'm ready for that stuff. Thanks in advance.
  12. Using the shuttle to the fleet isn't a bad suggestion, but it still only fixes half the issue because you will have to go through all the areas on the way to your destination. Still it is better to run through the fleet than through the station/orbital/hangar on your way out. It would be nice to have a filter on the map that shows you the exact location of the fleet shuttle. Depending on proximity it might not show on the map.
  13. The main issue is immersion vs. engagement. If BW wants to keep subscriptions, they should be actively trying to keep players engaged and addicted in playing. When I run through the empty station I am thinking about game design, and not about the next step on my hero's journey. The issue has caused me to log out earlier for the night than I would have otherwise, because I'm disengaged. Not the biggest deal, but the small things add up. Running through areas to get to quests is engaging because there is stuff to do and variety (dangerous mobs, players, crafting nodes etc.) Obtaining a taxi point feels like an accomplishment for exploring, and using the taxi is a reward that has saved me time and still allows me to see the world around me. Suggestions: 1. Take away orbital stations and change player spawn points accordingly. 2. Add content in the orbital stations that make them worthwhile places to visit, like quests, stores, services. 3. Add a bind point outside the ship's hangar. It is no different than any other bind point. 4. Let us use speeders on the space station. It is no different from using them on the fleet. 5. Change spawn locations to be more convenient. If there has to be an orbital station for server reasons, then let us respawn right outside the hangar instead of the far end. Changing spawn locations/adding bind points wouldn't take the area away from the people who want to explore the area.
  14. I've found three Corso ones so far that came up with different levels of affection, mild spoilers: He is the only companion I've maxxed affection on. The others I have are at 1k-3kish, and don't remember getting a special mission for more than talking to them. I'm level 44, still in chapter 2.
