  1. Only got the rename prompt for my main character (Red'october) that I made on the first day of early access back in December 2011. I was subscribed continuously for 2 years but then only played sporadically once I started graduate school. I put so many hours into that character with endgame raiding and even made regular appearances on Falver's old DPS thread (see the 2.4 and 2.5 Gunslinger archive in the thread's 3rd post): http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=685275 It's certainly possible someone else has logged more hours with the name since then, so fair play... I resubscribed a few weeks ago hoping that would be enough for me to keep the name. Oh well.
  2. Rotation should be: Shrap Bomb > Vital Shot > Hemo Blast > Wounding Shots > Quickdraw > Speed Shot > GCD Filler > Wounding Shots > Quickdraw ... repeat There's no room in Dirty Fighting for Aimed Shot other than the opener. You have 1 GCD between Wounding Shots to be creative, and you can move it around a bit; using Sab Charge, Charged Burst, Flourish Shot, Incendiary Mine (Roll), or Flurry of Bolts... and of course substituting Flyby between Wounding Shots will be a DPS boost as well.
  3. My mistake. I assumed each Rifle Shot was one hit. Flurry of Bolts does have an off-hand component; one hit with the mainhand for ~1350 and one hit with the off-hand for ~150. I assumed Rifle Shot would be one hit for ~1500 since that's how all other ranged attacks seem to translate, but instead it's broken down into 2 hits for ~750.
  4. 3100 might be a bit low; it depends on which module you're using (1mil HP or 1.5m HP). Back when I was in full 72 gear, I was usually around 3100 in a 5 minute fight, with lucky bursts up to 3200. Since you still have a 72 MH, you might be doing fairly well. For specific advice, we really need to have a parse to look at.
  5. I would've thought Gunslinger's crit on Shock Charge would give them higher overall crit than Snipers considering how Snipers' Interrogation probe doesn't get boosted by Lethal Dose... Interesting. Thanks for pointing that out. I guess since the parse is barely over 4 minutes, I would never be able to get a 5th Flyby in there; and delaying/pairing with Cool Head more often might net me an extra Speed Shot. I'm just horribly averse to delaying abilities like that. Also I feel I should point out the biggest difference between our parses, I think, is that I have half as many auto-attacks as you - which would be why your APM is so much higher than mine.
  6. Parsing on the 1m dummy with double proccing KD SA relic will get you over 200 more DPS vs. the 1.5m dummy without double proc. 1m: 3831 1.5m: 3600
  7. Red'october - Gunslinger - Hybrid - 5/18/23 - 4m 20.972sec - 3831.82 Parse: http://www.torparse.com/a/521191/1/0/Overview AMR: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/89d7a330-40ec-4245-847c-9830886f409e 40% crit? I'll do it with 35%!
  8. Hmmm. Not bad for the 1m dummy, though I'd recommend trying to get another Flyby in there. Also, according to the TTK in your log (270.259 seconds), it should be 3700.15 - not 3709. Still, grats on breaking 3.7k. I get that you forgot/didn't know the rules for this leaderboard - that's fine. What I'm not so sure about is posting parses from a character not on this server (according to your sig, Mungtatta is on PoT5). I guess that's a question for Tam and the rest of TEH community. Should we allow parses from characters on other servers?
  9. Red'october - Gunslinger - Hybrid (5/18/23) - 6m 56.599s 3600.58 That's better.
  10. Red'october - Gunslinger - Hybrid (5/18/23) - 7m 3.365s 3543.04 Nearing the end, I was caught at the beginning of the DoT phase, and I didn't know what to do!! Speed Shot and Quickdraw were down... so I used 3 straight Charged Bursts; none of them crit - leaving the dummy with less than 800 HP At that point I probably should have used an instant (any instant!). But no! ONE MOAR CHARGED BURST! ... oh, what it could have been! /sigh
  11. Red'october - Gunslinger - Hybrid - 5/18/23 - 4'28.115 - 3729.74 parse: http://www.torparse.com/a/517188/2/0/Overview AMR: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/89d7a330-40ec-4245-847c-9830886f409e Very pedestrian overall crit% and just my 2nd try, but I have no idea how good/bad this is... Hopefully some other hybrid snipers/gunslingers will post soon so I have something to compare with.
  12. Currently, torparse clips the killing blow. So the uncropped parse will show the correct time-to-kill (TTK), but the wrong DPS - we know its wrong because the total damage is a few thousand less than the dummy's HP. So instead of using the DPS torparse lists, we would calculate it from TTK for each parse. Also, if you haven't read the most recent posts yet... any chance you might reconsider using the 1.5 mil dummy?
  13. The parses that make the leaderboard are viewed by more than just the top contenders. The parses represent each class/spec played at its highest level, and the results are inevitably used by less experienced players to decide which spec they'd like to learn and use in operations. The classes/specs that get a DPS boost from the armor debuff against the dummy will get the same boost in an operation. If Arsenal gets "screwed by Pyro" in the presence of an armor debuff, that information should be made apparent to a casual viewer of the leaderboard. And yes, Snipers would get a small DPS boost from having an extra GCD every 45 seconds, but classes that cannot supply their own armor debuff will get an even larger boost; I'm not sure why you're so concerned about Snipers... Ultimately, the argument could be made the other way too: Some specs benefit more than others without a provided armor debuff (Snipers ), and parses were unbalanced BEFORE the modulator was introduced.
