  1. It's pretty cool, but i have to admit i'm slightly disappointed. I don't see why they couldn't just add fire-able lasers to the front of it. Make them 100% cosmetic and for fun for all i care, but if i have a walker i want it to be able to open fire... even if it was just harmless fun and only for my amusement
  2. I'll agree it wasn't always one or the other, but space PVP specifically has been asked for since day 1. It was always the number one requested feature, where as space pve was requested but not heavily. I'm not trying to trash space pve because i'd have enjoyed it, but how much potential did it really have over the current one? People would play it for abit and abandon it, where as space pvp will see action and growth for months/years to come. It was a no brainer from a design POV, especially since the PVP community has been neglected almost criminally since launch where as PVE see's new dailies, dungeons, and raids practically every patch.
  3. Because it's one of the most asked for things in SWTOR since launch. Since pre launch even, open flight space pvp is usually the number 1 most requested thing. Open flight space pve would become very stale and boring quick. Space pvp has a ton of fun potential, and it's the number 1 most demanded feature for SWTOR since launch day. It's a no brainer
  4. I know many people don't want to believe this, but PVP is really one of SWTOR's greatest strength. It's fast paced, fairly well balanced compared to that other mmo, and is a lot of fun. Huttball is the best pvp map in any MMO, period. Why be upset that space pvp is being added? PVE see's something substantial at a much greater pace than PVP. PVP has been neglected to death in this game until now, while PVE practically see's a new daily zone or raid every patch. Just because it's launching as a space pvp focused expansion, let's be real, after launch every bit of content will be PVE. Raids, dungeons, new dailies, etc. After launch, i'd be surprised if PVP see's much of any love until the next expansion. Let the pvp crowd have something for once, quit being so selfish PVE warriors. Space PVP has far more potential than space PVE, we have space PVE now... and it sucks. PVP in space will remain active, fun, and has a ton of potential where as space PVE... let's be real, what kind of potential does it have? Play it 2-3x and leave it alone forever vs pvp warzones that will see pvp action carry on for months/years. Relax PVE crowd, you will continue to see nearly all the content but quit being so selfish and let the PVP crowd have a tiny bit of something to enjoy since we have been neglected HARD since day 1, despite being probably half of SWTOR's playerbase.
  5. They can't seperate que's because it would take too long to get into the action? The answer is simple and has been in front of them the whole time.... cross realm que's. Why should people be forced to play content they don't want, to see content they want? I luv BW, and I have loved SWTOR since launch... but as time goes on it becomes more apparent that they just don't have a clue what the community wants, how to deliver it, and how to implement it. It's always one step forward, 2 steps back. Truthfully, with GTA online, I haven't even looked at the new pvp patch... and that's a huge problem for BW since I'm an elite warlord. Yea, one person won't make a difference but I know many warlord/elite warlord friends who only sub for pvp... and not one of them have mentioned this game since GTA came out. They waited too long to deliver pvp content, and when they did it was a half measure of content. No cross realm que's, no new valor titles, and no new pvp content in sight for the next... what, year or so?
  6. I didn't think it was coming to PC, but I could be wrong Shame too, because R* makes real masterpieces. I feel sad for PC gamers when i think that they didn't get to experience RDR unless they owned a console.
  7. Not even close. I played APB for abit, it's fun but shallow. GTA is a deep, rich, imaginative, and wild experience. There's a huge difference in quality between the two
  8. ....watch GTA online and SWTOR 2.4 be unplayable on Oct 1st for w/e reasons.
  9. I saw it on IGN about 4-5 days ago Screaming ziva. Seems legit
  10. GTA5 is going to be game of the year, hands down. It looks like they took everything they learned from Max Payne's combat, and all the amazing positives of RDR (too many to list) and improved the already amazing GTA formula. That being said Techbotalpha, i fully expect their first dip into the next generation consoles to be a next gen Red Dead of some kind. Obviously not the same characters, but they know the fans loved the period. Which is crazy because i've never been into westerns but like you, i adored RDR. Yea, having to choose between SWTOR arena's and GTA online that day is the ultimate first world problem (I'm not really complaining at all, just joking)... still, i wish i had more time in the day since GTA online and SWTOR 2.4 are both gonna be awesome. Between SWTOR arena's and GTA online, I hope I'm not the only one planning to take afew sick days in the middle of the week.
  11. ..... don't... care... about GTA .... ONLINE?!?!?!?!? BLASPHEMER! J/k, i can't wait for more pvp in SWTOR I just hate that both events i've waited for all year gaming wise happen to fall on the same day. There's only 24 hours in a day and to get the most out of GTA online and SWTOR arenas, I need like 72 hours per day. I expect I will call in sick to work that week with a severe case of tumorsyphalisotisisis (props to anyone who gets that reference)
  12. Way to go BW. The PVP patch ive been waiting for all year is finally close to release, on Oct 1st. The problem is that... you couldn't push it forward afew weeks or delay it afew weeks? Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer comes out october 1st. While I've waited a year or so for arena's in SWTOR, i've waited my entire adult life for a real MP GTA. Between your arenas and grand theft auto online, my friends and family will never hear or see me again after october 1st until xmas. Y U DO DIS TO ME BW?
  13. I too, hope they fix this long standing issue. It has grinded my gears since launch, and it still grinds my gears pretty hard. I don't think it will be fixed though, or it would have already during one of the quality of life patches. WoW never fixed mount clipping either, i think the hope that SWTOR does is slim to none.
  14. Good point, that one had slipped my mind for some reason.
  15. The only mount that's exceptional difficult to knock someone off of is the cr-17 or whatever it was, (the pod racer looking one) from the CM. The tauntauns act the same as the other mounts (minus that one). Tauntauns are a noble steed
