  1. EVE is nowhere near as good as Jump to Lightspeed was for me. Not even close. It isn't hot-keys and auto-targeting unless you're only using missiles. I could go up in a Y-wing and have a friend in the gunner turret, or I could go up in my YT-2400 and have two friends in both turrets going crazy on anyone who got close. And just being inside a ship during a battle is some of the most fun I've had in that game. It was immersive to a ridiculous degree. EVE doesn't have anything as good as that. I never got to experience atmospheric flight, but if TOR got a space expansion, even if it was exactly like Jump to Lightspeed, I'd never land again. As long as I could pick/customize my ship and have friends join me in combat.
  2. About the only things I really do miss about SWG are the community I was in and the space functionality. Picking what ship I wanted and customizing/naming it, free roaming in space, entering combat with friends as gunners, all that kind of stuff was absolutely amazing and made it feel like Star Wars. I still remember flying around in my Y-Wing with my friend in the gunner seat helping me do missions. Brilliant. If TOR had that, I'd never leave the cockpit.
  3. After your tutorial worlds (which end after around level 8-10, depending on the number of sidequests you've done) you'll go to the Republic Fleet, and your next missions will be on Coruscant. Republic fleet is where you'll generally meet up. Or if one of you finishes before the other, you can go to their tutorial planet until they finish as well.
