  1. I'd just spotted this in the notes myself. I'm testing it right now, works perfectly. Roll on 1.2 deployment
  2. Indeed they only changed it to current behaviour in the final pre-launch beta weekend (I played that one and the big stress test one the weekend before, and the latter had sound in background). Another weekly Q&A is up, I've posted about this issue in it. If there's any chance they base A'd Qs on how many posts something had, well, you know what to do.
  3. Currently, and since the final pre-launch beta weekend, the game mutes audio if it loses focus, i.e. when mousing out of SWtor.exe in "Fullscreen(Windowed)" mode to another window, perhaps on another monitor, or alt-tabbing out. Many of us find this very annoying. We want the audio feedback of things like Crew Skills completing, a Warzone becoming available etc. when we are using other programs on our computer. It's also nice to be able to check such things whilst a dialogue conversation plays. So, given you had this working fine until that last pre-launch beta, can we please have an option to go back to that behaviour? See this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=77918 As far as I'm aware the only official response we've had to such requests is to amalgamate the various threads about it into that one.
  4. Can we please get a "Sound in background" option so that if alt-tabbed out or moused across to another window (probably on 2nd monitor) when using Fullscreen(Windowed) we can still get the audio feedback on things like completion of Crew Skills ? See this thread for a fuller description and all the shows of support for this option: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=77918 I note that it was only in the final pre-launch betatest weekend that this was changed from being the default. Suddenly no sound in background any more from then onwards, with no option to change it back.
  5. Add another /signed (I've posted in other threads about this too, including one I made myself). It's very annoying to not get feedback on Crew Skills completing just because I'm in another window on my 2nd monitor. Oh, and we should try our best to get a question about this in the weekly Q&As ....
  6. Not currently possible, although it was the way things worked right up to the penultimate beta test weekend before launch. I've a thread over in Customer Service (may have been moved there from elsewhere in the last forum reorganisation), but it's had no official response at all. So, can we please get a "Mute Audio when in Background" option, so we can toggle it off? Usually I would find this most useful when sat crafting and needing to hear when each item is done, difficult if moused across to a browser on my 2nd monitor.
  7. From my own experience being Dark V I can tell you that, yes, if you get any 'other alignment' points at the cap it will count and knock you off the rank 5. I got 150 LS points, could no longer use my vendor-bought relic, and had to go and get 150+ DS again so that I could once more. I would suggest that BW keep the 10k for tank 5, but make the cap 500-1000 points 'higher' so that there's a little leeway. As it is with my current Relic I feel forced to always, always, always now make DS decisions so as to not nerf my stats. I look forward to getting a 2nd Relic without alignment restrictions....
  8. Yes, the UI defaults to 'Trainable' and thus you'll only see schematics if you're not fully trained up for your skill level, but you can also select 'All' and see, well, ALL of them that you don't already know.
  9. Exactly what I came here to say. I saw the poll last night on my smartphone, but it would have been awkward (security key) to login on that so I was going to vote this morning.... To be clear, I was also going to vote that I didn't like the change. And indeed the PTS problem is that I don't want to 'invest' 5-10 hours getting a toon high enough to be capable of testing many things, especially when I can see it's possible that all toons could be wiped between major test versions.
  10. I think they just need to stop the code being a simple check for "if we're on any sort of cooldown preventing use of this ability, grey it out" into "if *THIS* ability is specifically on cooldown then grey it out". That way abilities that are only in GCD will stay ungreyed and we can see if conditional ones are available. Meantime any ability on its own CD will be greyed out so we're not fooled by the last few seconds of its CD making it look like it's available, which was the problem last patch. Once more to be sure: The only greying should be on buttons for abilities that are on their OWN cooldown. GCD should NOT grey anything!
  11. Re: the crafting bug post-Voss It seems to be an indexing error on companions when you've lost use of one. I have managed to get 4 companions off at one time (max deployable 5). It just seems to be that I need the one 'below' the one I want to use to be available. Due to this bug I managed to chain a Slicing mission with a Cybertech crafting (Temple was on the Slicing mission, tried to queue up another companion for some CT, was greyed out, so tried the nearest un-greyed one and it worked despite her being deployed!).
  12. Perhaps they should implement it so that every 'failed' RE increases an internal number which increases the chance of the next RE being a success ? When you get a success this number is reset to zero. Kind of how the social rolls work but for RE'ing. That way it's still random but eventually you should hit 100% chance on the next RE so there'll be an upper limit.
  13. Got some citation, or is that based on RE'ing a whole load (at least several hundred) of Premium Augments and never learning a schematic ?
  14. OK, I've checked the first 60 pages of this thread and the only mention of Augments to do with RE'ing is the Augment _Slots_ you get from crit crafting items. Augments, of course, come from Slicing missions. So far myself I've had both Premium and Prototype level Augments from the missions. I've also had guild mates test and these can be RE'd by an Artificer, however none have yet learned a new schematic from doing so. So the question is this: Is absolutely the only source of Augments the Slicing Missions, so you'll need to keep running those until you simply get lucky with an Artifact Augment? Or can an Artifice RE of an Augment actually give the next level up of schematic to then be able to craft at will ?
  15. If it's anything like the same Imperial Agent class quest bug (when you fight Darth Jadus) then standing right on top of the NPC may help. Also see if you can kite it (may need to make companion passive before you pull) to somewhere in the room without the problem.
