  1. I have Yuun at 10k affection. He hasn't had a quest for me since around 7k affection. I'm in chapter 3 right near the end (level 48). Is his questline bugged or does he not have any more quests? Elara had quests all the way through 10k.
  2. My friend used the push method on his guardian to beat it, so I was determined to solo it just like he did. Problem is, I'm a Sentinel. I used the strategies here. Every time I popped out I would use all my burn effects then fight him until I was out of interrupts and run behind a pillar. My attempts were much better when T7 lived to the second set of adds. Basically, your job is to survive through 3 sets of adds. If you can do that, you can finish the fight, albeit slowly. 1st set of adds: let T7 take them and kill them as fast as possible. I just used strike to kill them. The tab targeting seemed really wonky. 2nd set: T7 will probably die pretty early. His job here is to group them up before he dies so yo ucan awe and finish them off. 3rd set: Use Force Camo to get 2 or 3 of the adds down, then pop your other defensive CDs for the rest. From there, just use los and only pop your head out to attack when you have at least 2 interrupts available (I was watchmen spec, so force leap is down to 0 range and can interrupt). In between interrupts, just try to use as many burns as possible. I tried to save guarded by the force as a last resort. I was at less than 5% health when I got him. It required a bit of luck with his casting (if he force storms during that initial group of adds, t7 is dead). I used the vendor medpacs and an endurance stim for a little extra health. Took me about 9 tries to get the strategy down well and 3 more tries to get lucky enough with his casting choices that it was doable (for example, he never used his super-insta-death attack while I was in los). I ended up only getting hit with a few lightning blasts.
  3. Your alignment is the prereq, not theirs. So if you are Light III and want to give a companion a Light III item it will work, while a Dark I item wouldn't. It's kind of funny on my Jedi since I have Lord Scourge in light side gear.
  4. I really dig the medal system, and have since beta. The system needs to be a little smarter though, and maybe some game-specific medals should be added. Huttball is a big one. You seem to get objective points the longer you hold the ball, but get no reward for passing or scoring. I believe both scoring and assists should provide some individual rewards as well. Another one that surprises me is planting the bomb on the door in voidstar (or disarming it). I played a game on my scoundrel where we had a quick win. I was the one who got the bomb on every single door, but I managed to walk away with only three medals and none of them had anything to do with objectives. There are others, these are just noticeable ones. I just think the game can be smarter about different types of pvp games and having objective-based medals that aren't based solely on numbers. Just want to end by saying that I am enjoying the pvp in this game, despite the few animation issues that I expect will be fixed soon enough. This is mainly a suggestion more than anything, not a qq.
  5. It's not sharded as heavily as other games that do this. It's also extremely simple to switch to the most populated instance. I have not seen any planet that wasn't a starter planet sharded as of yet. Oversimplification and exaggeration to say it will ruin world pvp.
  6. I was just wondering... if you've already done your pvp quest for the day, is there any benefit to winning? Myself and my friend played two losing games in a row where we got 6+ medals, plenty of xp and commendations. Then we got in a game of huttball and won 6 to 0, with most of the passing and scoring done by us, and got less than half the rewards. I noticed the same thing in Voidstar on my Scoundrel. I stealthed and blew up every door to from the first to the last, our team won the game, but I still had less objective points than many other people, 1 medal, and about as many commendations as if I had lost. This system seems to favor people who just fight in the middle and get their medals for doing damage or killing blows and whatnot, when it should probably favor objectives and winning more.
  7. Spoiled WoW community moved over to ToR, it seems. The game releases on the 20th. Anything before that is free. Some people that acted more quickly than you get more free time. There are no server first achievements. There are no servers crashing and burning. If you took off from work on the chance you might get in early you either did not read how early access worked. I am not in yet. I don't care. Relax.
  8. Why would you take off from work? Have you not been reading the info on prerelease for the weeks it has been available?
