  1. I have absolutely NO issue with sitting in a queue for an extended period of time, do not misunderstand my point here. My issue is with being pulled out of queue into the end of a match because people quit out. Every time someone leaves early, they open a spot which draws someoen else in. That someone else has just gotten screwed out of a full match because of the quitter. And if that isnt enough reason to stop people from quiting early - here, from 1.1.3 path notes. Seems the cause of the no credit on a win is caused by the quitters - specifically the first in quit out. PvP General Fixed an issue causing players to not receive Warzone Win mission credit upon winning a Warzone match when the first player to enter the zone leaves the zone before the match concludes.
  2. YEP, until you get to ME...who has just sat in queue for 15-20 minutes expecting to get into a warzone and have some fun. But now, I get pulled into the last 45 seconds of a match instead of the start. SO I get to sit in queue for 15-20, get screwed for 45 second of nothing, then back to 15-20 minutes of queue. Sorry, I'm f'in tired of being screwed out of my playtime in WZs because all the whinie little quitters want thier f'in wins. I have just as much a right to enjoy my play time PLAYING as they do. They quit, they sit out, I dont owe them my time. Oh and YES, this is EXACTLY what is happening RIGHT now.
  3. Actually, no I was referring to both 50 and below 50. I was clarifying a point in the ONE sentance you pulled out of context and tried to make the comment this poster replied to. Nice try though, your reply to my post failed, and now your reply this this poster failed as well. Next time, try not telling me what I meant (spelled with an A in it) or anyone else for that matter. You were wrong, just like when you said commendations pre 50 dont mean anything.
  4. NO, I find your comments very nieve actually. Nobody cares about valor or coms much while leveling? Are you that short sited....really? And if the score is less than 5 against, you can get that back in no time at all. I have been in several where we got down by 4 quick and came back in the last 3 minutes to win it in a 4-4 tie holding the ball. I guess if you quit all the time you probably never encountered this. I've been down by 250 in Civil War and came back to win it with a final score of 5-0, but still a win. Again, if you quit all the time you probably never seen this. The only match where it is hard to come back from a high deficit is Voidstar, but even that can be done if you are smart. It doesn't take but 2 min to run every door. It can be done, I've seen it. As for the 10s tiers, stupid, really stupid. from level 20 to level 49 I was always in the top 4 on medals in every match. Maybe the difference is I never give up, never quit, never accept a loss until the match is over. Again though, I guess if you are a quitter you would never seen this. Two to three good players, who never give up are worth 10 quitters no matter thier level or gear under 50. AND YOU KNOW IT!
  5. Hey, I'm all for the family first thing, I do it myself. But lets be real here ok. Your kids are your responsibility, not mine. And your kids should not be justification for making my life miserable, just yours. So please, lets not make this about who has kids and who doesn't, because thats just childish. We all accepted the responsibility of having them, and we all accepted the responsibility of raising them. Joe and Fred over there may not have, so dont make them suffer because we did ok. Time to move on and off the family/kids topic already. Life happens, we each make the bed we sleep in, its ours to bear, on our own. So bear it and stop using it as an excuse or a justification for special treatment.
  6. You are correct, I was thinking of Overload on my Sorc. All enemies knocked back. My bad for having one wrong detail there, corrected now. Grapple/Harpoon are single target, pull to you, given to tanks to pull mobs back to them and off thier support. 45 second cooldown, doesn't work on targets in cover. Generated high threat. Again, a tank tool designed for PvE use but has the ability to be used to put people in hazards when playing Huttball. Once every 45 seconds if you hit it right, dont have any higher constructs between you and your target (yes if you harpoon someone and have a walkway above you and the target, they will go up, and land on the walkway not at your feet), and then you have to time you stun effect at the right second to get the kill in the hazards. There is no stun effect on this power, and since you cant stand in the fire youreself when you do it, all then need to do is walk 2 feet and they are out unless you time the cooldown on your stun along with this one.
  7. I stopped reading after this line in BOLD up there. You quit because you are a quitter. You think you are better than everyone else, reality is you probably suck. You prefer to blame everyone around you for the losing match, maybe you just cause it to be one. Honestly, I hope to hell you never play on my server. Your leadership ability is total crap. If you were half as skilled as you thought you were you would be useful in teaching those less skilled than you. Oh and NO, do NOT change the quest to 'I am lazy, I dont want to try, I just want to put in my 3 matches win or lose and get my ****'. Seriously, you want to log in and get your free gear in the mail so you dont even have to queue up? That next for you?
  8. Last I checked, pulling the ball carrier OVER the line to the shield zone was a goal first and then a dead player. And I thought they patched this one out anyway didnt they? As for the Harpoon to the fire in Huttball, yes, if I time it right, and stun them at the right time after the pull, I might get them dead in the fire. Force Push half my team on a bridge in Voidestar, and its a guaranteed half my team dead when they go over the edge. The only thing you have to do is make sure your standing the the right spot when you hit the button.
  9. I like the incrimental counter idea, but not the ban to join thing on it. Start count at zero, everytime you volunteer to leave a match before it ends, add 1 to the count. Everytime you finish a match drop it by 1 down to 0. BUT....for each point above 0 you lose 1% off all rewards gained in a WZ. So if you volunteer to leave 15 matches and never finish one, you get a 15% reduction in all rewards in every match until you clear your counter. That gives people the right to leave if they want, but they will pay for it if they abuse that right. And it doesn't stop them from playing and getting thier wins for thier quests, just thier rewards for being a quitter adict. And if they redeem themselves (stay in enough matches to clear thier debuff counter) then they lose nothing again. Its a penalty that is 100% controlable by the player and allows for the freedom to quit if they wish. If your debuff is too high for you, dont quit for a couple matches until it is acceptable again.

Through out this thread, and the many more just like it, I have seen only one argument that says NO to a deserter debuff, and that is you want to leave a losing match to get your win and progress your daily. So lets look at that shall we, if the reason everyone is leaving the match is because it wont count for the daily quest and hurts thier time obtaining a bag, then that is the problem that needs to be fixed. STOP giving bags out in dialy/weekly quests. That fixes the ENTIRE problem right there. It stops the kill trading problem on Illum, it stop the WZ quitter problem, it stops all this stupid crap. Make the bags purchasable with commendations all the way up, warzone commendations earned in matches for participating, trade them up to Merc, trade those up to Champ, trade those up to Centurian, trade those up to BM. 2-1 accross the board trade up, and 1-2 trade down. NO MORE RNG BAGS. Let peopel go in and EARN thier gear by PLAYING. No idea why they just can't see how BAD of an idea these RNG bags are. The Daily/Weekly quests for them, they are just killing PvP in this game at lvl 50. They need to go away.
  11. You are all aware that this problem of people leaving warzones is happening on lvl 10-49 as well as level 50 brackets. This isnt just about the daily quests.
  12. No argument form me here at all. I do NOT believe simply a deserter de-buff will fix the issue. But it will SLOW the problem until they fix it correctly. You should be able to quit a match you do not want to be in...you shouldn't be allowed to do it on every match, back to back, over and over and over and over again. Leaving a match early has consequences on people other than you, your actions should have consequences as well. No way should someone be able to do whatever they want and damn everyone else in the process. Like I said before, find a way to fix this so people sitting in queue aren't sucked into the open slot when you leave early, wasting their time only to be sucked into a losing match, and I'll be all for it. And I'm sure everyone else will be to. This inst just an issue of crappy teams and you not being able to do your daily in 30 minutes. There are people out there being screwed by you doing this the way you are. People who had NOTHING to do with the match you were in or the team you were on. Yet they are paying the price for your right to dump and run.
  13. If you got sucked into one of those matches, I feel for ya. That's the part I can't stand. If you got in at the start, and its ended up that way, you earned that match, stick with it until the end or take the deserter for leaving early. But if you got pulled into one of those situations, then you got screwed. Don't forget, the deserter idea helps stop people from dropping and forcing YOU to get pulled INTO that losing game too, it isn't just to stop you from leaving a losing match. Come up with a way to stop people from being screwed over because you quit those matches, and I'll back you all the way on no deserters.

  15. I'm happy for all of you who do not have as much of a population imbalance as I do on my server, but my 95% assertion is not false at all in my particular case. We play so many rep/rep matches of Huttball, that we just go for fun now. We know everyone on both teams, hell half the time I'm playing against my own guild mates. Match ends, solo queue and now your playing on the team of people you just fought against. Really though, you may not see it but it is true, what you should be is happy it inst this way for you.
