  1. READ about the lore?! The achievements should reward fully voiced acted cut scenes.
  2. But who really wants to pay for a game for years and years? I think it's a nice change of pace that you can beat this game in a month or two and are free to quit and go play something else. That's one thing I hate about WoW where you have to keep playing forever because there's always more stuff you need to do. I'll be stuck playing that stupid game until I'm in the nursing home LOL it is too much to do!
  3. Because they give points and you need points to win. The Codex is better to ignore because it just has to do with reading and nobody likes reading.
  4. I agree with OP. It stinks having to keep playing a game forever just to get a bunch of meaningless achievements. I like to just get to max level and be done with it.
  5. No one wants to play Lone Star when you can be Dark Helmet.
  6. In spite of my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage.
  7. I'll say it first and foremost, I couldn't make a better game. Oh yeah, i could have all the ideas in the world but i couldn't make a better game than Any company. I say this because everyone is just so friggin' opinionated these days that you literally think that YOUR game design would PLEASE EVERYONE more than current game designs have. GET REAL!!! Your design would be just as flawed as the design that you keep knit-picking at. You would be another WoW clone yourself. Your game would be a disappointment just like this one is. Because We all want something different from our experience. We all want gratification, but you know, this game would have took so much longer if we put into affect every little thing that someone else says they would have done to create this game RIGHT. I'm no computer scientist, nor am I a graphic designer, but single player gaming now-a-days last i checked needed patching. I'm not a cryer, unless it has to do with something that really has to do with human emotion. This game. Not one of them. I plan to play for a while too, because this game is good enough for me from the start. I've played tons of MMOs. This one is still more fun FOR MY PERSONAL PLAYSTYLE. That's what it all comes down to and sorry there is no way that BIOWARE can cater to ALL of us. If you don't like the game, seriously, quit. I would. I'd never play something I don't like. I get bored with gaming so fast that I shouldn't even buy new games, I waste my money, but I'd be wasting it elsewhere if not on SWTOR, promise. I just don't think any of those who say they could have made a better game can truly do just that, make a better game. It's all a bunch of mouth from a bunch of people who were not pleased with a Vanilla product. I don't remember being promised the most polished game ever. I'm not even trying to gripe really, I'm just sick of griping. It's not like Bioware isn't working on fixes. It's not like fixes are so simple because if they were well it'd be fixed already. I'm with SWTOR until it goes down. I don't really care to play anything else. I'm sure there's something for everyone else out there. This is for me. It suits my play style. My only problem i'd have to say is... DUN DUN DUN.... *gasp* My own friggin' computer.
  8. To enable cross-media metrics, they need to orchestrate open-source channels, architect mission-critical portals and engage end-to-end relationships.
  9. You have to read between the lines a bit, but I think it's the best and most honest interview he's given to date. He says essentially, they spent most of their resources on story and voice acting, and they are happy with what they did there. But they realize that they're missing a ton of modern MMO features and people are bailing due to that. They're scrambling to catch up, but they're way overworked, and they're trying to plug the gap with rapid content releases. All in all, a true story.
  10. I hadn't thought about it before, but it's true. SW:TOR = Jar Jar Binks.
  11. They're just there so you can roll need on stuff you can't equip.
  12. Will it make you go blind before or after it burns out your video card?
  13. Keeping less than half your sales as subscribers doesn't sound that great to me.
  14. I wouldn't worry too much about SW:TOR tainting the golden STAR WARS name. Lucas has already taken care of that himself.
