  1. In reguards to using 3rd party software and harware... This is in the EULA "It is also strictly prohibited to use any third-party software or any other device with a view to modifying the Software in any way, intercepting or scanning Game traffic or communications, changing the way the Game plays or playing in an abnormal manner or in a way that could impair the correct operation of the Game. Such prohibited third party software or devices can include, but are not limited to, those in the nature of “addons”, “hacks”, “cheats”, “trainers”, “mods”, or the like by any name. The authorizations granted to you in accordance with this EUALA may under no circumstances be used for the purpose of creating or supplying any opportunity for third parties to access the Game, including through server emulators or similar devices. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that EA may scan your computer’s memory or hard disk drive to detect or locate any such unauthorized third party program or devices, with or without any prior notice to you at any time. Furthermore, you may not use the Software in a manner that would impose an unreasonable or disproportionate burden on the infrastructure of EA."
  2. Not sure if this is in the right place, as I couldt find anywhere to post that wasnt SWTor related... so apologies if it isnt. So, something got me thinking about the recent pricing trend of MMO's. So, as mentioned, with the recent pricing trend of MMO's set quite high, SWTor for example and the soon to be release of Tera set at 49 to 59 euros for digital download, and the iminent release of GW2, which i suspect will have a simillar price tag (exception being no monthly subscription) Should future MMO's be a free download/minimal hard copy purchase for a slightly higher subscription fee, a slightly higher purchase for a lower monthly subscription fee, or are they fine as they are? Of course we have to take into concideration the cost of developing these massive titles and i understand that pre-orders help the initial funding for release, but surely the main revenue for these games is the monthly subscription fee. My personal thought is.. Free download for normal digital version with a paid for early access fee if desired. Small fee for Collectors/Special Edition download, reduced early access fee if desired. Slightly higher subscription fee. In store version should be say.. £5, or whatever the equivelent is required to cover production and shiping cost of the hard copy. With the ability to pay for early access as outlined above. But these are merely my thoughts, so I open the duiscussion to you.
  3. Absolutely fricking hillarious... This, if anything should be reason enough why MMO's should have a minimum rating higher than 13.. Not to mention forums :/
