  1. I chose Biochem on my new Jugg this week, and I've been running around questing and looting this Schematic over and over again. I'ts mildly annoying, but it's not game breaking. Until I took a Green loot box as a Class quest reward, and opened it to get: a Ice Scrabbler Jerky schematic. Now this leads me to believe that this very niche schematic is taking up the loot slot of drops I could potentially use, mostly likely as cosmetic gear. Please reduce the drop rate on this Schematic. Please toggle it off as a possible "reward" from lockboxes. Thanks.
  2. Lots of awesome information here man! Thanks much! As someone in YT mentioned, gotta work on getting that mic away from your mouth/nose. It's really jarring and difficult to listen to you with the frequent pops and bumps. Don't let that discourage you, it's easily corrected going forward!
  3. Equipment (armor, weapons) are not properly tagged in the Galactic Trade Network search parameters. Some examples: Blaster Rifles in Lightsaber category. Sniper Rifles in Blaster Rifles. Adaptive armor shows in various Light/Med/Heavy but not in Adaptive category. Cannot search for the new level 61 Artifact items that have the Artifact prefix, setting criteria and level and typing Artifact into the bar does not bring these up, but searching Artifact will bring up items from previous content. I know this report isn't very thorough, but honestly the whole GTN search criteria needs to be looked at. I am a returning Founder who has not played since a few months into Launch, and I remember issues very similar to this back then. Is this a new occurrence of the same issue, or has this literally never been fixed? Thank you for your time.
  4. To add to this, some pieces are coming out with required level 117. In my case it was Mk3 Headgear.
  5. That's the problem mate. We ARE supposed to be a Burst DPS class, hence the positional aspect. We are not the most effective Burst class, which means we are not tuned properly for our role. Slowly wearing down enemies is what tanks do, and they gain the benefit of survivability. Shadows are supposed to be sneaky glass cannons, instead we're sneaky (often seen despite this) glass BB guns. Operatives share a similar role and completely demolish our Burst capability, the "caster" classes like Sorcerer have more survivability. In short we are the least effective class in the game. We're passable on PVE content, but there is a ridiculous amount of knockbacks and AOE hazards at endgame, which put a significant dent in our DPS. The ranged classes don't suffer from any of our drawbacks, do comparable if not more consistent DPS, and have increased survivability on top of that. PVP is much more skewed. Without a dedicated healer or moving in the zerg pack we are not effective against ANY of the other classes. That being said, I'll try to keep my hopes up for some kind of balancing fix in the future.
  6. I was pretty disappointed with Act 1. Once you get off Coruscant it become EXTREMELY repetitive until Act 2. Things get spicy for a bit, but then become terribly repetitive again. I'm really dissapointed that this got through to the public. How can any story based development team justify such a ridiculously repetitive storyline, that repeats the same cycle twice? This was not inventive immersive storytelling, it was like watching the same terrible episode of a bad TV show over and over. For those who have completed it...my example...
  7. Jumping through people isn't an exploit when you are a positional melee class. You HAVE to jump through them to be able to Backstab (and similar abilities). Basic logic will tell you that if I have to run AROUND you to use my backstab, and you only have to pivot, it's not very favorable for me is it? Jumping through isn't an exploit, it is a logical development in tactics.
  8. Wrong. If you die when the rock is in mid-air it usually has no effect.
  9. The mindless HP stackers are killing me here. Obviously stacking HP is great when you've reached Defense and Shields caps. Neglecting your primary stat which contributes to all of your abilities, threat generation and DPS is foolish. No one is saying that Endurance isn't important, but if you notice...that stat is pretty high on almost any piece of gear. Playskill is paramount, so nix any arguments about overheal, cushions, etc. If yer bad, you'll die. End of story. Holding threat and contributing positively to DPS is also incredibly important. Dealing more damage means that you A) generate more threat, and B) End fights sooner. Generating more threat keeps the damage on YOU. Ending fights sooner keeps the healers from exhausting their resources. People drawing parallels to WoW, while this is a very different game, keep in mind that endgame tanks had to stack DPS stats like Hit to stay competitive on threat. Also, lol at the above mention of the #1 Mt in the world on WoW, and the followup from someone else pointing out that it was a druid tank, which was notorious for being a HP based build. While leveling I strongly suggest you balance your stats and use your cooldowns accordingly. Make friends with good healers and good DPS, and you'll have more success in the FPs. Endgame is still being crunched right now, but the stats on the gear make things pretty obvious.
  10. Don't give people bad advice to try to make up for poor playskill. Stacking endurance does not serve a beneficial purpose, as it only marginally increases your hitpoints. Most equipment provides a sufficient amount of END if you choose the version that has a higher primary stat. What was said above is absolutely true. I promise you will die on FPs and Ops just as often with 1k extra health if your healer is bad. Mitigation and Avoidance has always been more important than raw HP, and the ability to compete on DPS and hold aggro is terribly important.
  11. I have extensive experience as a retail manager, I've worked for multiple companies that deal in clothing, toys, and misc merch based on intellectual properties. Star Wars is always a strong seller, and Boba Fett is a popular character that often sells quickly. Some stores carry a Hooded sweatshirt that zips up over the face to look like him, and priced at $50+ sells well. In fact it often is reordered and restocked each fall season. Don't try to claim that Boba Fett isn't popular, and don't try to claim that Bounty Hunters aren't a popular class. The link you provided shows nothing to legitimize your claims. In fact the leading statistic is "Undecided Empire" which last I checked, doesn't make any sense. Where was this data collected? Was it a poll? Is it actual character creation data? Even if it were up to date accurate information, a 5-6% margin from the most popular class (Sith Inquisitor, which I listed as one of the overplayed classes) at 15% and BH at 9% isn't exactly huge. This data shows that on Sith side, Sith Inq, Sith War and BH are fairly close, and IA is far behind. Republic shows JK and JC as popular while Trooper and Scoundrel are significantly less so. This data doesn't reflect what % of these classes are queueing for WZs, which would be a relevant stat for a PVP oriented discussion.
  12. On Mind Trick, the opposing group is almost always as follows... Sith 3-5 Bounty Hunters 1-3 Sith Inq Occasional Jugg, ***, Operative or Sniper Bounty Hunter not iconic? Do you not realize that Boba Fett (to a lesser degree Jango Fett) is one of the most iconic characters in the IP? That products with him on it are always strong sellers, and often outsell the Jedi themed products? In PVP people play what they hear and feel is OP. They don't typically pick characters because they want to be someone from the movies. That's a silly assumption. In the end I think we need to just agree to disagree.
  13. I'm willing to take his word on how to play those classes and how to maximize your potential. I'm not willing to take his very broad judgement when there are dozens of posts everyday from people who are dissatisfied with the current state. That being said, I mentioned in my above response that people need time to adjust to this game's style. 1-49 is a significant chunk of the game. On your first character, riding space bar will still require many, many hours. These players may queue for WZs. If this experience is consistently poor, they will likely discard the notion of PVPing. Sensible people will try it out a few times and make sure they aren't just bad at their class still, but many will be perfectly comfortable and get rolled. If a player doesn't feel like they have a fair chance, they won't stick with it. You do not build a strong brand, and strong support for an aspect of a game with dissatisfied players. To be fair, I don't neccesarily think class balance is the big culprit just yet, I think it's the nature of the format and the WZs themselves that are causing the complaints. Endgame balance would mean more to me if I wasn't forced to queue with anyone from 10 to 50. If bolstering didn't put me at 13k HP and your natural 50 is at 20k.
  14. I commented because you made a gross broad statement about the health of the current PVP. You play one of the favored classes under the current state of the game. I didn't "complain" in this thread, I'm happy with my class. I know how to play it and perform well in WZs. That doesn't mean that I don't think that the ranged classes are strongly favored, have busted abilities and the current objectives in WZs are favorable for them. The fact that a ranged class can sit between both doors in Voidstar and easily disrupt any attempts to plant is ludicrous. Wouldn't be a problem if Sith side wasn't 80% BH and Sith Inqs, who can both do this with minimal skill, and are too numerous to counter. The class is called Bounty Hunter, the Advanced Classes for Bounty Hunter are Mercenary and Powertech. Don't correct me on my use of correct terminology, it makes you look stupid. In the end, what you failed to address in your post is that this game is a ranged centric format, and the melee classes are not strongly favored. I play a Shadow, I do well in WZs, because I have a brain, and exploit every opportunity I can. I've also come to accept that I cannot sit back and cherry pick like the ranged classes, and I have to work hard for my kills. I love catching BH/Sith Inqs/IAs with their pants down, because many of them do not realize how potent my class is. I'm still going to get rolled by stunlock a few times a match, but there isn't much I can do about it. Many people are upset with the current state because it is frustrating. This PVP is not like other games, and it takes many of us time to adjust. The game is very CC heavy, ranged centric and the WZs need some major tweaking. Class balance may be pretty close to even, but my gut tells me it isn't or you wouldn't see so many people playing the same two classes.
  15. Hmm. Not true. Balance should be in place for the bulk of the game, not fine tuned like max level, but in general. No class or two should dominate the others (this is happening, hence the 80% BH/Sorc rate for Imps). Lack of skill might be relevant at 50, stop using this as a crutch. Every PVPer brings this one out of the lame excuses bag, give it a rest. I wish you wouldn't. Omitted lengthy opinions on class roles. Too long, did not agree, did not paste. This is your opinion. You haven't possibly played enough to provide a significant amount of empirical evidence. No one has. Stop playing game designer, and acting like you've crunched data based on the thousands of players. Curious to know what class you play? Wouldn't happen to be a BH or Sorc would it? Cuz the game seems pretty balanced when you play those classes. Not so much when you play against them. Edit: Your signature says you play a 50 Sage. Yeah, your class performs well currently, there'd be no cause for alarm for you. Try playing a melee class. Doubt you'd stick it out to 50.
