    game, read,
  1. People are too worried about padding numbers by continually attacking and tunneling on that kill, they're happy as long as the heals are keeping them up, but once they stop due to the healers being attacked they get pissy, and no matter how many times you los, roll infront of them, get stunned in front of them they only see a number at the end of the match. I don't know how many times I've ran back to the back off of a node where the ranged are then back to melee to find I still have a guardian or a shadow on me. It's funny sometimes seeing how far someone is willing to go to try to get that "easy kill"
  2. Actually, I know plenty of times where I've had over a mil + heals but end up closer to the bottom of the stack because I'm not sitting right on top of objectives for the enemy to see me, where I roll around, have to peel for myself. And during those times who are the people I see get mvp votes? Top damage with little to no obj points, the sympathetic bottom voter, or (which i dont mind so much) the person guarding the node. And you just sit there after everyone has left the WZ going, wow, what a slap in the face. Edit: to be fair though if I see a tank use guard on me, and see a dps come and take the agro off of me they automatically get my mvp votes even over guildmates cause I want them to realize that it's appreciated what they do.
  3. Make it a troll mailbox so as soon as you click it SoA's lightning balls will come out and chase you across fleet. Eternally....

    Deserters

You know, the vote kick system does work but not everyone knows how to use it or that it even exists. But it gets reset as soon as that person enters fighting. So they could auto shot someone and run back to afk. What I feel there needs to be is a way to tag people in a game who fight in the middle, who leave nodes unguarded after caps so in the next match a symbol appears over their head saying this person doesn't play well with others or just needs better guidance or is making dumb *** mistakes and making everything horrible for others. So you have the mvp and the mdp (most derp player).
  5. So, I've been reading this thread at work for the past week or so reading all the fun and miserable times people have had, so I figured I'd post one where I was the weird one. First off I'll start out by saying that I normally PvP more than anything. Second, I was wearing the 168 greens that you get from the solo flashpoints with the new xpac. So I queue up for a tfp and I get blood hunt, yay I've done this once or twice so I should be ok. I pop in and see 2 powertechs and a marauder, all sitting at or above 40k health, me, an op healer, sitting at roughly 33k. I had half expected to be kicked instantly, but I wasn't and off we ran on our merry way. We clear the first bit of trash no problems, I throw a grenade here, a PowerShot there, a heal to top one of them off. Well we get to the first boss. As soon as everyone was there they jump straight for the boss and leave the adds to me. Sure no problem they really don't need heals from me anyway. So I have 5 or so of the adds on me, they have him to where he starts throwing rocks, either I'm blind, or just don't see it, or it was the combination of the mandos and a rock colliding with my head, I die. They finish the fight, rez me and we keep going. We keep going, nothing interesting to talk about until we get to the entrance of the mando area where you have to kill the 3 elites. As we get into the room they quickly disperse of the adds while I give a few heals and some PowerShots. All of a sudden I see in chat "split" and see everyone heading off in their own direction. I sit there confused. The marauder turns around and heads with one powertech while I turn and head for the third way by myself. I stop thinking about weither that's smart or not, so I turn and head back towards the other powertech. I get stuck at the door since combat has been initiated. And continues to be so until the single powertech dies by himself. I still stuck in the middle, can't do anything so I head towards the door the marauder and the other powertech ran through, during which I see the powertech got back up so I start running back to help him. I finally reach him, and help him take out the elite. We run back to the middle the powertech runs off to help the others while I peel off (not noticing he left me) to go fight the final elite, the one that you go down the ramp, go under the arch, and sit on a big rock. I notice I'm alone and say screw it throw on a couple kelto packs and head in with a power shot. As I'm shooting the marauder leaps over my head and basically destroys the boss with the help of a few heals, some backstabs, a few shivs, and a couple powershots. After which the couple boss goes pretty well, by now I've realized my contribution to the team is quite minimal as my dps stinks and they take more damage than I can heal through due to the nerf to heals. So the whole fight I'm throwing kelto packs on then and healing with the kelto stations. After they get the one down the only one left is the one with the knockback slam. The marauder goes down due to a knockoff and I shortly follow leaving the two PTs to finish the fight which they do brilliantly. By this time I'm not sure why I'm still in the group but I don't knock it since they let me stay. After the last fight with the boss, which goes fine as I'm running around hitting the stations as I throw in a PowerShot or 2. After the final fight I thank them for allowing me to stay and thank them for carrying me. The one powertech says I did a fine job and that he had fun. TL DR: I get into a group, I'm undergeared, do negligable dps and heals, died on a few dumb errors. The group carried me and had fun doing it. There are still good people out there.
  6. But I can't help it.... It's sooooo pretty!

    healing

I don't think I've ever seen a healer face tanking multiple dps and survive it. Now I've seen good healers get focused, get away and by that time teammates come in and help peel, but not just sit there and take damage. Even if the healer can sit there and face tank multiple dps you can guarantee he's not healing his team, effectively making him useless to his team. Healing should be on par with damage from a dps, I shouldn't be killed outright from from a dps unless I screw up. But at the same time i shouldn't be able to kill him either because I should be more worried about keeping myself up.

    Midbie PvP

I'm pretty sure those two reasons alone are why they midbies/lowbies matter. Edit: If you can't live long enough to learn your class in PvP why even bother playing? If they can't live long enough to learn then they will be the bads you hear people complain about all the time on the forums. Or they won't come back hence dwindeling the PvP community.

    Shadows Maul

if you have a stupid kb Turner yes, you have time. I, on the other hand don't have my thumb up my butt, if im facing a sin, you can bet your butt I'm strayfing and jump turning (which is quicker than regular turning by itself any day.) But I make them earn that 8-12k hit.
  10. I'm actually a clicker. I've tried very hard to get down the feel of mouse turning and key binding, but I can't do it. Sad thing is I still end up in top three in heals most matches unless i sit at a pylon or node guarding.
  11. So, don't shoot me because I know christams isn't here yet and I hate when people skip thanksgiving as well, but here's this little gem I found quite pleaseing and just wanted to bring it to the eyes of some of our newer player base.
  12. This explains everything. Thanks for clarifying and making it where I can no longer get mad when I call out people Inc and not getting anyone there until after cap...
  13. The only reason I said that was because it was a big speculation on the imp side as the amount of goof troops declined ghost infantry increased. I had even thought it was a mix of ascendancy and goof.
  14. If I remember posts from the begining and some from a bit before, a lot of people came to this game expecting kotor 3+ and the such. So I'm quite sure a majority of the founding population knows who Revan is. Now as for getting them to come back because of Revan is another story.
  15. Sadly this isn't anything new. This has been going on since before I left which was over a year ago. And as far as I know happened after they started all the server merges for the first time.
