  1. Pre-50 Rarely did these. Wanted to do them to see what they were but quickly had no real desire to try and run them. Only went to the fleet between planets. Takes too long to leave a planet then wait at the Fleet and hope a group of your limited level range wants to do your level of FP. When questing on a planet people, and myself, want to the the quests there instead of all the walking and loading for a FP. About an hour of work (Only counting the FP itself) for the chance at some gear you'll probably replace by next planet. If you get really lucky and every boss drop goes to you and your class then it's work it. Otherwise you could have just been collecting the commendations on your level's planet. You get like 2 quests worth of experience but spend way more time on it. Post-50 (HMs) Did a lot of these actually. Go through for Tionese-level gear and then chance at Columi and Biometric crystal. But now that I know better it's a between Operation thing only for that one specific Columi piece you want, or Biometric. However I rarely see public Operation groups so unless you are in an active guild HMs may be your best bet. Normal Operations provide 5 HMs worth of gear per person. You get something at almost every boss, sometimes Columi pieces. Way more Biometrics as well. Much like pre-50, you spend a lot of time for a chance at getting your gear. Very quickly all you really want is the last drop for your chance at that Columi piece. I was into PvP so I had Centurion and Champ gear to cover the holes in my PvE gear. Can only be done once a day.
  2. I really think there must be something you can buy from the trainer. But you can always RE you current best item to a blue recipe, and at worst again to a purple recipe. Then that should be non-grey.
  3. You'll have force powers that can be spammed and lack cooldown. They will do significantly more damage than either of your saber abilities. Sorcs cannot regularly use their lightsabers without being very subpar characters. You cannot work around this in any way.
  4. Most LS option I can remember can be summarized as "Pfft, whatever, I got what I want" or "You're useful alive." I don't recall many "No need for violence" but that was usually part of the non [Attack] parts of dialogue when it did show up. There are some blatantly nice options but that's when you Esc and pick the DS option.
  5. It helps to pick DS choices when you feel it's appropriate. It's hard to get into the story of a character when you force yourself to always pick a certain alignment option. You may also be interpreting all your LS choices as being pansy choices. When your SW lets some one live it doesn't have to be because he wanted to be nice. He just says a line. It's up to the player to determine why their character is acting that way.
  6. I assume you are spending most of your money sending companions on crew missions. In which case you need to stop doing that. It's very easy to get crew skills to 400 when you are 50 and have more money. If not that then I'm not sure what you're buying since vendors are mostly worthless, but just stop spending credits on anything that aren't skills.
  7. Realistically, the only thing not being Light/Dark V will do to you is make it harder to get a good relic at 50. There's a set or two of Dark and Light social gear you won't be able to wear. I think there might be color crystals unique to Dark/Light V, but being Between Light I and Dark I means you can use colors normally locked out to alignments.
  8. Those 40 comms go on top of whatever amount of comms you get for finishing a WZ. It current equivalent is getting 8 medals.
  9. If you aren't targeting anything friendly skills with auto-target yourself. I usually click an empty space to remove my target then cast my heal.
  10. Because Bioware decided that they wanted some end game gear to be gathered from Daily Quests. No one can really give you a better answer than that.
  11. Sorc, but Assassin might actually have it too. I can't recall what Sins look like but I know Sages and Shadows (Republic mirrors) look similar. But again in a month or so you will be able to transfer the stats of end game gear (Extract the mods) to any orange armor you like. So if you don't like the chicken but want PvP armor you can just get rid of the chicken. Since you're new I don't think you'll be hitting 50 and being all about PvP till late March anyway.
  12. Sorc is the easier class to play. You are ranged which means there's a lot of enemy abilities you may not have to deal with. Even if you get skills towards DPS you still get heals to make early levels easier. Especially since SI get their healer pretty late. Both get Lightning, but Sorcs get more and are better with it. Sorcs are damage dealers or healers while Sins are damage dealers or tanks. The space chicken look is end game PvP gear. But in about a month the game is updating which will allow people to pick a lot more options for armor.
  13. I only played Trooper in a beta weekend and only just finished Nar Shadda at that time. Having said that, M1-4X by far. So patriotic and enthusiastic about everything.
