First try at level 24 =P

I love leveling as Defense. I recorded some fights at 30 on Alderaan, it's pretty smooth IMO. I actually enjoy leveling as Defense more than Focus, especially the early levels: Edit: Note that fights end fast with Kira but you have some downtime, fights end slower with Doc but you end up with little to no downtime. If I decide to blow my multitude of 1 minute cooldowns I can beat elites with 90+% health with Doc.

Valis is the boss you hit before Tatooine. I've only done non-heroics on my Guardian and I was exactly 24

This fight really feels like a massive DPS race / chaining your CC's. I experimented with the fight a little bit to see if it's a tactical fight. Kiting doesn't work and there really isn't anything to interrupt. I beat it at 27 as defense and not having my 20min cooldown up. Pretty much just throw Kira in and jump in yourself when she's about half. Saber ward right away and master strike, right when saber ward wears off force stasis and then force push. Force leap, warding call and then he should be close to dead, I had to pop a pot but then again I had wasted my 20 min cooldown on messing around on the fight.

Recorded my kill on him as tank Guardian Hopefully it helps

I remember reading this thread so I decided to fraps my attempt on him, not really knowing what the fight entailed. I beat him by popping saber ward early. I also got an interrupt early on with a force leap. I did get the win with only popping saber ward tho. Hopefully this helps someone out.

Definitely level with Shield generator. You're gimping yourself if you don't both in survivability and damage output.

You'll have no problems leveling as shield, though I did it with focusing on the DPS talents.
