  1. I have a thing for Twi'leks so I gotta go with Darth Talon I used to say Aayla Secura but Talon wins due to red hotness As for live action there's not really a lot of choice, it's gonna have to be Leia though
  2. It was really annoying. All bonus quests should last untill you get a quest complete reward pop up, maybe longer if it's a chain. I'm just glad I remembered when I was in quesh the 2nd and 3rd times
  3. Han Solo: Chewie and I'll take care of this, you stay here. The Emperor: In time you will call *me* master. Luke: I won't fail you. I'm not afraid. Yoda: You will be. You... will... be. Luke: You're lucky you don't taste very good. Princess Leia: Into the garbage chute, fly boy.
  4. You're much better off having a cannon If you don't like them because of the look (the first ones are kinda crappy) there are bifferent ones later on. The one that drops in Mando Raiders is nice imo
  5. I'm similar, I first leveled BH and then tried Trooper but I went from merc tp vanguard. The playstyle is so much different and imo more fun, much more mobile and even though it's mainly melee/short range it's good to have range too. PT would likely fel the same but wanted to try different story. I can understand how you feel about the betrayal of 'your' squad. Never having seen them there was just no impact to it. I know it's partof the story, they kept you away so you wouldn't find out what they were doing but just a few missions together would've made it much more meaingful. The hunt was good, each of them in different areas was a bit strange (they're a team so why did they split up?) but overall it was a well written story. I agree that the final fight was a bit lack luster, others were much more of a challenge and more interesting (c'mon, one of them came at you in a huge droid! ) and his reaction was unbeleivable, for someone to have so much hate for republic that he defected his final reaction should've been "First they betray my team and now you hunted them down like animals! Is that what you were taught the republic acted like? of course not, they'll betray you too..." I like Aric, he's a good comanion, good fighter, interesting story. I enjoyed having him around but it's a let down that he's the only romancable companion for female troopers As I was leveling as tanky vanguard I swapped to Elara as soon as I got her. Again I like her, she's got a good story and personality and her regulation quoting keeps making me thing of Rimmer and Kryten for Red Dwarf (her wantng to file a requistion form just to ask to talk to me had my laughing for ages lol) M1-4X rocks! I would've promoted him when I got the chance unfortunately he's a tank and so am I so he's useless for me If they ever add 'respeccing' for companions I would make him DPS and use him. As for the other 2 I've not used oe and only just picked up the other so can't comment on them, though it was good fun annoying the darkside one during the chain that unlocks him. I feel it's a let down that 4 out of 5 companions are lightside, makes it unrealistic playing darkside having companions that are constantly complaining about choices (judging from other classes, I went LS with tooper) As for Garza.. I keep thinking of the silly saying "you don't look at the mantlepiece when you're poking the fire" Seriously though, good character and apropriate voice. Garza is one of the better recurring NPCs imo
  6. and according to ""Do you wish your Bounty Hunter could shoot Force lightning? After 1.2, if you relate the Bounty Hunter to a level 50 Inquisitor, it'll be possible,"" non blood related will NOT get the legacy bonuses The whole point of the legacy system is to open up things for other characters, what's the point in adding them as non blood related if they will not get those bonuses? You may as well have a piece of paper on your desk saying "these characters are fwends"
  7. For those sayig legacy is not a biological family tree http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/121/1219843p1.html "Game Director at BioWare James Ohlen provided plenty of detail" "Specifically, they'll let you set up a family tree, where you can arrange your characters and earn bonuses." "Do you wish your Bounty Hunter could shoot Force lightning? After 1.2, if you relate the Bounty Hunter to a level 50 Inquisitor, it'll be possible," "In the future, it may be possible for players to fuse their Legacy systems and marry others, but that's far from final. At least for 1.2, only your characters can be slotted in the Legacy family trees. " That interview makes it obvious that in order to get the legacy bonuses your characters have to be related as part of a family tree.
  8. NO They promised something new and original, only thing we got was talking quests which while fun does nothing to take away the fact that the rest of the game is lacking in any originality or real depth TOR is great idea, badly done And the description so far of the way the legacy system will be implimented the game is just getting worse. A cool idea that had so much potential is turned into nothing more than an excuse to force people play as much as possible End game gets old fast No real reason to do any hard mode, you can get fully geared ready for raiding from grinding dailies No insentive to group No instentive to do Flashpoints Flashpoints only on station not on planets PvP gear WAY too easy to get (again making HMs pointless) Active companion quest only for 1 comanion, rest just talk. Inability to chose which comapanions you want or to gett rid of any Not enough companion (see needing chose) and all are class specific Inability to chose companion role forcing to have to take specific companion 'Planets' smaller than a city Planets have no mood, no atmosphere, no 'life'. Game way too linear, forces you to have to follow path, way too restrictive. ZERO story differences (fake chat choices, everyone always ends up at the exact same place doing the same thing. ie we were LIED to about choices affecting story) Space missions: fun the first few times then never get done again. TWO FACTION OPEN PVP DOES NOT WORK, EVER!! (you'd think people would learn from expreiences like WAR) Legacy system is really badly implemented (also obvious that it's a biological family tree meaning we were LIED to when we were told it could be any kind of group of people forming up) Tanks screwed over in crafting system. ZERO craftable tanking mods/enhancements. Social armour is not social, it's modable so can be used as fighting gear BUT only for light armour users meaning medium and heavy users get a lot fewer choices in gear. (very easy fix, add medium and heavy versions with the same skin) No originality in class skill system Way too many abilities for each class Unequal damage defence/mitigation We were LIED to about tanks being viable in PvP (I'm meaning actual geared and speced tanks not tank classes geared and specced for DPS) Respeccing cost just keeps increasing Too much CC in PvP (idea: when hit with a CC get a buff which gives imunity to CCs thus stopping chain CCing) Raiding too easy (after just 2 months people had the title from doing nightmare in 2 hours.) if you can do BOTH raids in one night so soon after release then something is seriosuly wrong The best thing about games is having choices Atm in TOR there is.. NO choice in questing areas NO choice in companions Limited choice in companion used
  9. Now the idea is nice but the way it's implemented looks like it was written by a 2 year old brain dead monkey Legacy = family tree Yep, that's right. chiss, human, twi'lik, rattataki, high ranking sith, independant bounty hunter, noble jedi knight, trooper.. they're all BIOLOGICALLY related... Blood line powers Using another classes power means you have to be related to them (does that mean decended from them? as that's the only logical way the explaination works) So will that mean BH can use daddy SW force choke but SW can't use son BHs abilities? Forced characters You can't play a new race/class combination unless you've already played that race to 50 (thus possibly forcing people to play class they don't want to just to get a class/race combination they do want to play) You can't use other classes abilities untill you've played that class to 50 (again forcing people to have to play) Under the moto of K.I.S.S (keep it simple stupid) here's a much better option: Each legacy level gives a legacy commendation Legacy comendations are a global currency (ie shared by all characters on the account) Legacy vendor has things to buy with those commendations (eg race unlocked for all calsses) Class trainers have new 'legacy' tab where you can use legacy commendations to buy abilities (either unlocked for account or just that specific character) Voila! people get the new stuff, the legacy levels actualy have a use, no one feels forced to do things they don't want to and everyone's happy But wait.. hang on a minute.. that method doesn't involve mindless grinding and forcing people to play for a long time to get what they want..
  10. "Many folks felt that using these abilities in pvp and operations would cause balancing issues and favortisim in grouping due to certain abilities." From what I heard many (all?) of the abilities will get a 'need companion' tag meaning they can't be used most teaming situations.
  11. The whole being FORCED to level to 50 just to unlock something which you can then use on a character you actually want to play is ******** It's a shiny way of forcing you to play as much as possible Other games have undless grind to get gear which forces you to play loads, they just came up with a different idea for the same result I'll give you an example of just how ****ed up this idea is: 1) I play empire, I'm part of a guild I've been with through many games for 9 years, I have many friends there, I have never played rep and have no interest in doing so 2) I have no interest in playing SI 3) (here's the problem) I love twi'leks Under this oh so amazing idea I'll be forced to either play a class I have zero interest in or play a faction estranged from everyone I want to play with just to unlock a race I like When I first looked at the fact you earn legacy levels I was assuming that you used those levels as some sort of currency to buy things. that's it. just a new type of vendor using legacy currency. no strings attached, no being forced to do things I have no interest in. Obviously that's not good enough. they need to force as much game time out of you as possible **** you, why the **** should I now be forced to do even more to get things when I've already earned the legacy levels
  12. Well it's obvious that by 'family' he's meaning biologically connected individuals Now if he could answer how a chiss, rattataki, twi'lek and human can all be part of the same biological family then his "the Force is strong in family lines" might make sense when a non force user class uses force choke... The fact that the legacy system has all characters in the same 'family' regardless of race, alegence, possition in society, etc means that the legacy family is NOT a biological family and therefor the reason he gives FAILS "They certainly put a fair amount of thought into it." No they didn't. They just thought "here's a cool idea" then had to invent some way to expalin it Ps. what exactly is the point of the legacy system when everything I'm hearing so far is "play character **** loads to unlock it" It was a nice idea but the way it's being implemented it's just a piss poor way to force you to play more I don't like the sith inquisitor (jedi whatever) and I have no interest at all in playing one BUT a couple of their abilities are cool. Why the **** should I be forced to play a class I have no interest in just to get abilities to use with classes I am interested in?? Also I'd love to play Twi'lek but that means being forced to play SI or rep side without my guild and friends just to be able to unlock Twi'lek as a race for a class I do want to play
  13. BH, I'd trade Skadge for a DPS version of M1-4X hel, I'd trade skadge for a 1 inch length of used dental floss Trooper, I'd trade Tanno Vik for Jaxo (ok, so she isn't a companion but bloody well should be ) or a combat droid SW I'd trade Quinn for a corpse of Quinn
  14. Seriously? Do they know you have to do it and it's not just messing around? The only reason I can think of for someone getting annoyed at it is that they think you're doing it to mess around, kinda like people who jump all over instead of just standing and waiting Either that or they're just *****
