  1. I tried again with my 26 toons on Satele Shan and it still freezes with that. My toons there are well established so maybe there's more to it than just number of toons and new toons don't have the same impact. Or your computer has better VRAM than my laptop's 128MB so it can handle more characters.
  2. I'm guessing she has a good graphics card like my desktop does. It seems to be only affecting people with Intel onboard graphics that only show 128 MB of dedicated VRAM like my laptop AND have more than "X" number of characters on the server they are trying to log into or last logged into. "X" = a number between 9 and 26.
  3. Okay more information from me. If you read my previous posts you know I have a subscriber account, a preferred account and a new free-to-play account. I also have a desktop computer and a laptop computer. I have had no problems logging into all 3 accounts on my desktop. I have not been able to log into my subscriber or preferred accounts on my laptop (Intel 128MB graphic memory) even though it worked fine prior to the latest update. I could log into my newly created free-to-play account on my laptop with no problem. With the new discussion today about character numbers I went and logged into my preferred account on my desktop and instead of logging into Satele Shan where I have 26 toons, I logged into Shae Vizla where I only have 2 characters. I then switched to my laptop and was able to get into the game on my laptop on my preferred account for the first time since the update. I then tried it with my subscriber account. Logged into my subscriber account on my desktop, chose Shae Vizla again where I only have 4 characters and then switched to my laptop. And again I was able to get into the game on my laptop on my subscriber account. I then switched to Star Forge on my laptop which has 8 characters and shut down the game and tried to get back in. I was able to get into the game. I then tried to switch to Satele Shan where I have 50 characters while on my laptop and it would not load the character select screen on Satele Shan. So it appears from my testing if you have 8 or less characters on a server you should be able to log into that server. I haven't been able to get into my preferred account on Satele Shan which has 26 characters so the character limit that prevents the login is somewhere between 9 and 26. So now it appears to me this in not an account related issue (subscriber/prefrred/free-to-play). It seems to be if you have a computer with Intel graphic cards with only 128MB dedicated vram AND trying to log into a server or last logged into a server where you have lots of characters. Exact number of characters not known but somewhere between 9 and 26 characters on the server freezes the game at the loading screen. I have been able to successfully get into the game on my laptop on a server with 8 characters.
  4. Just adding my experience to what is known. I can play my subscribed and preferred accounts fine on my desktop. I cannot get past the loading screen on the same two accounts on my laptop (Intel onboard graphics). I created a new free-to-play account and the game loaded up fine on my laptop. Tried all the suggestions about editing and deleting the client_settings.ini file and nothing changed, still hangs on the loading screen for my subscribed and preferred accounts.
  5. I'm not having an issue per se as I can play fine on all my accounts on my desktop which is where I normally play. I just think it's strange that I can't play on any account on my laptop and everyone is saying it's an account issue when all my accounts are fine on my desktop but none work on my laptop.
  6. No problem. A lot of strange choices made with GS6 that I'm scratching my head over. Glad we could figure this one out. Hopefully they unlock in collections when you use them to unlock the stronghold doors.
  7. I saw one other post in here that they have Intel graphics and can't play. I also have Intel graphics on my laptop and can't play on it. Game works fine on Nvidia graphics on my desktop.
  8. I have a hard time believing it is an account issue. I can play both my subscribed and preferred accounts on my desktop but both of them hang on the loading screen on my laptop. To me that makes it seem like it is some sort of issue with certain computers. If it was an account issue why can I play on both accounts on my desktop and neither account on my laptop? Hmmm.
  9. Yep and I also put in a ticket yesterday which still remains open so that tells me they don't have a copy and paste answer for this issue yet. This always happens with achievements and stuff where they fix the issue so it works going forward but don't address it retroactively so people get stuck with having completed the task before the fix (in this case purchased the stronghold) and now cannot get the game to recognize it after the fix with no way to go back and get it to work since you can't relearn a stronghold or redo an achievement, etc.
  10. Nope but sometimes things happen with both old and new systems where a driver or other aspect of a computer causes a program or game not to work as intended. This isn't the first time this has happened with SWTOR and won't be the last given how many combinations of processors and graphics cards and drivers are out there. If you haven't already contact support (support@swtor.com) and work with them to try to figure out and resolve the issue. They tend to be pretty responsive to technical issues.
  11. Dev posted they are looking to patch it today.
  12. I would also check mission items tab and currency tab in case they put them there for whatever reason.
  13. Because they don't know what's causing it. My guess is something to do with a specific processer or graphics card but unless people send in their logs and DxDiag to SWTOR it takes time to find the issue. I can play on my desktop but not my laptop. Desktop has Ryzen processor with Nvidia graphics card and my laptop has Intel processor and graphics. There are instructions in other threads of what to send to SWTOR if you can't login so that they can narrow down what is causing the issue.
  14. The Copero Stronghold directory is on fleet in the Supplies section, in the alcove where the GS Rewards vendors are - against the column immediately across from the Vaiken Spacedock stronghold terminal (on Imp Fleet). On Pub Fleet it is beside the Carrick Station stronghold terminal. You should be able to go there to reactivate the Copero stronghold like you can with other strongholds when transferring legacy to another server.
