  1. To each his own. I learned that staying mobile = staying alive. So every time I know I will cast a few instants in a row (HoT, bubbles, cleanse etc) I will switch position. Unless I found a really nice place to hug. But those are few and far apart. Not to mention all the time you need to chase after your tank or run to mez the other teams healer that is left unmolested. Might as well make yourself useful while running and not waste any GCDs. I see so many Sage/Sorc healers who never cast anything while they are moving. Bubble your team.. cleanse them.. HoT them.. do something!
  2. I see what benefit it could be for those who use it like that. I have all of my most needed abilities bound to alt/ctrl/shift + mouse buttons, so I have no problem switching + healing targets while staying mobile.
  3. Stupid that you can target the pets, yeah.. But educate me. How is it good to use Target Next Friendly as a healer?
  4. I'm all for sexy, but prefer it to be a bit more crude and rough than Fantasy stripper. http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/7637/pyranopicture017.jpg Protection still minimal, but at least there's no chain mail pinches.
  5. It is not needed. Normalize all players stats at the start of a game, and BAM, PvP will once again be about skill and not who had the least active social life.
  6. I'm with ya. Check out The Secret World, it looks good on paper and players are actually required to use their brain to solve quests. If it doesn't deliver, I will most likely take a very long break from MMOs. Expertise is just another gear grind. It is NOT there to "protect" us from raiders. The bolster system is already in the game, I have a feeling it would be fairly easy to tweak it to normalize stats at 50. But then all the kiddie carrot chasing kids would cry because "y PvP if there no reward!!!???". I tell you why. Because it's fun. Expertise and it's eq in other games are only there to make gear obsessed players tunnel vision on the next set of gear and keep paying their subs. Unfortunately it's going to stay like this until MMOs stop trying to attract generation WoW.
  7. Truth. Gaming community for a female is so much nicer these days when everybody and their grandma plays games. *puts on glasses and starts rocking wheelchair* Now when I was a young little gal a million years ago, THAT was something else. I was very active on forums back then, and the word 'troll' had not yet been coined. But we had them. Oh yes, we had them. The real kind, not the weaksauce ones we have these days. I got so exposed I was immune within a month. That's when the real fun started. I am a bit puzzled about the huge amount of female PvE healers though. With that said, I am a healer myself, but started as a dps. Went heals when I discovered PvP and saw the impact it had on the outcome of a game, fell inlove and have been failthful to PvP healing since. I prefer a support/heal class though rather than a full heal. And I like to be up and close; in the heat of battle. AoC did heals so well it brings tears to my eyes. *nostalgia* Need more women PvPers. Edit: Oh.. intended to write something about skimpy armor (which I personally don't like AT ALL) in the first section. I hate it, not because of some sexist ********, but because it doesn't make sense to fight stuff in a chain mail bra and thong. The protection it'd offer would be.. minimal, but more importantly imagine the PINCHES! Ow!
  8. Quoting this for truth. I still play my Sage and I do well with my new kiting spec, but I don't think I will be logging on for many more days. I just don't feel like playing anymore. They could have nerfed us in so many different ways to get the same result in force management and healing output (many good suggestions on the healing board and old PTS forum) but instead they made the entire class feel clunky, slow and.. lacking.
  9. Just be happy you're not a Jedi Knight...

Sad to break it to you, but your survivability won't get much better with gear. What you need to do as a healing Sage is to play sneaky. Most people will ignore a Telekinesis Sage as they don't do much burst damage and pose less of a threat than any of the more busty classes. When the doors open and people run into positions, they'll immediately start looking for people who cast heal. This is where you fool them, start with 3 or 4 Deliverence. Crap damage to say the least, no one will take you seriously. Hopefully you have a sturdy healer with you, that will start healing asap; get marked and thought of by opposing team to be dishing out all heals flying around; including yours. Be VERY restrictive with the AoE heal. The same second people see that bright yellow puddle on the ground they'll smell squishy Sage blood and will start looking for you. If you cast it, spend the immediate few seconds with casting bubbles and other instants; try to avoid the casted heals as it will attract them to you. Most DPS don't have the patience to keep looking, but will go back to TUNNEL VISION HULK SMASH in a global or two. As soon as you get noticed and marked, you will spend the remaining WZ running from spawn. I spent entire WZs PuG healing from the shadows, sneaky mc sneak style. That, or get a tank to guard, detaunt and peel for you. That guard is priceless, without it I don't stand the slightest of a chance, full BM and all.
  11. I'm not 100% sure (it's late and I am tired) but I think the Trauma debuff goes poof if you are out of combat and then activates as soon as you start casting on someone in PvP combat. I remember that I a long time ago always used to run through the fire in huttball, pop relic and adrenal and heal myself for a 5k medal. It was the only way I'd ever get one of those back then. I haven't really thought about the debuff since I got in BM gear. This was a bad reply. I should stop reading forums on my cell while trying to sleep.
  12. I don't understand the "But if the zones were designed differently a bunch of 50's will be griefing lowbies!" argument. You do know that it is very much possible for a member of one faction to go to the other factions questing area and grief if they wanted to? The areas are not separated. What's been asked for is a shared questing area so PvP will happen while questing. You know.. to give players the feeling that they're never safe, never alone. Don't pull too many mobs at once, always stay alert, etc. Hoth had one of those; some cave with class quests if I remember correctly. Man, did I have some fun scraps in there, I got ganked by a group of 3 so hard I felt I was in AoC again. Then I found another republic player who had the same fate happen to her, we teamed up and gave them a taste of their own medicine, and we did it again and again and again until they got a 50 to help. That is an automatic loss on their behalf so we laughed at it and went afk for 15. She was my first SWTOR friend. During all that leveling i hadn't had a reason to talk to one single player before that. PvP brings people together.
  13. Right now, as a healer, I will not waste heal time on a dps Sage. I will pull them out of melee range and slam them with a HoT and maybe bubble if they're not stunbubble specced, but that's it. They're not worth the time spent as the chance of them dying to whatever is cutting them up is close to 100%. Keeping the Sentinels and Shadows up is much more important from a team pov. It's a shame, really. I hate ignoring an entire class like that, but at the moment my healing is severely lacking and I need to focus heal one person at a time. The dps and utility they'll add to the team by staying up is just not good enough compared to any of the other classes.
  14. I feel with you. Respec hybrid and start kiting. It's a kind of healing, I guess, since you'll be keeping one-two marauders from hurting your team. If you kite well enough you'll survive for seconds! Actually you'll survive for far longer than that. You won't be healing your team other than the occasional bubble when it's off cd, but they don't know that.
