  1. Uniformed hatred? I have been subbed since early access of the release of the game, I love and support this game. But the business practices of this game and many EA titles are questionable at best. See battlefront for example, instead of releasing the entire game out of the box, they are going with a lousy $50 season pass to release content at a later date. It is a similar situation with Knights of a Fallen Empire.
  2. As I browse the forums, I keep seeing posts about how people don't like the classic conversation options, the level sync, and many other subjective issues, but the one issue people seem to be ignoring is the release schedule for the content. At first glance, the fact that we will be getting new chapters every month starting in 2016 sounds like a really good thing. It gives me a reason to stay subbed, and gives out fresh new content each month. But that ignores the issue of how much money we as a community are really spending on an expansion. It's very clear that EA is trying to get every last cent out of the player base with this release schedule, because they are banking on players to stay subbed with the fact that new chapters will be released monthly. Just think about it, by the time we reach chapter 16, it will cost around $200 for an expansion of a game, not even a full priced game. That is of course if you pay a subscription fee when each new chapter gets released, which I expect many of you, including myself, to do. I will stay subbed because I am true fan of the game, and EA will bank on many other people doing the exact same thing. But I wanted to make this post to show that this expansion is anything but "free" to subscribers and that the community is really getting a raw deal in the matter.
  3. Idk but for some reason I keep having the feeling that this story will end up being sorta like mass effect 3 and the result on who lives and who dies depends on the assets you have. The more assets, the better ending you get. They did say they were "going back to bioware's roots" in this expansion, so I am interested to see where it goes. That's why I am recruiting as many as I can but wondered if it was random or not.
  4. The alliance system has really been a cool addition to the game in my opinion but I have 2 questions about it. 1. Do alliance alerts simply come at random or do I have to continue to build influence with the 4 leaders? I have them all at 12 out of 20 and haven't received many alerts at all. 2. Is the alliance system just some side story to keep you occupied or does it have a bigger impact in the future? sorta like how loyalty and assets had an impact on mass effect
  5. My question is the title.. do we need to finish Makeb for KOTFE? I am assuming we need to complete SOE for KOTFE but I figured I would ask considering I am in the middle of leveling a bunch of alts.
  6. So basically ROTHC and SoR were pointless? I can't imagine them making the decisions you made in those stories meaningless. My question is if it is required. I have a few level 60's that haven't beaten Makeb or SoR yet.
  7. So recently I made a topic regarding choices and how they play a role in Fallen Empire http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=833611 The response I got from the dev said that choices from your past will play an impact in the story for Fallen Empire which brings up my next point/question... I have a level 55 Sith Inquisitor that I am leveling. I am not finished with Makeb but have the option of moving on to Shadow of Revan content. Do I have the option of skipping Makeb to move onto Revan? will it play any impact in KoTFE? I am finishing up the leveling process with all my characters and would like to get this grey area cleared up on what content is needed to be done for Fallen Empire.
  8. I doubt it would be that specific.. but that would be cool. I think a realistic expectation would be the major decisions made in class stories.
  9. So I just read about how they will gradually release class story overviews for players who have not played the class, and I have one question... When KoTFE releases will our decisions we made in our class stories matter at all in the new story? I've purposely leveled up a dark side Jedi and a light side Jedi to see the differences in Fallen Empire. Same can be said about my light side Sith Warrior and dark side Sith warrior. It would be a terrible shame if everything I have done in the past be reduced to "You are a Jedi Knight so you are assumed to be a good guy and make decisions XYZ."
  10. Hi, I am starting up forged alliances with another alt of mine only this time the mode won't let me solo. I don't get the droid and I can tell that as soon as I enter the flashpoint that it is not in solo mode anyway. I have tried resetting the instance and speaking to the droid outside the instance and that didn't work. He only says "start flashpoint" and it doesn't have a "start solo" option. can anyone help?
  11. I updated my drivers and was able to see the cutscene
  12. I have an issue where as soon as I land on Rishi and press the spacebar button to engage in the first cutscene my game either enters a black screen with the music playing in the background or I see a poorly textured Rishi with the "...." conversation box above my character only for it to freeze moments afterwards. Has anyone else been having these issues? How do I fix them?
  13. I have encountered an issue where my game freezes as soon as I hit the "Press Spacebar" part as soon as you land on Rishi. Has anyone else had this issue? My screen either turns completely black with the music playing in the background, or I can see a horribly textured Rishi with the "..." conversation thing over my character's head and then the game freezes with the music still playing in the background. Is there any fix to this?
  14. How bout KOTOR 3? the thing the grand majority of us wanted instead of an mmo
