  1. I assumed the first part, but would never have guessed the second one. Thanks again!!!
  2. Thank you very much for that clarification. The way I interpreted your post was: Look at them for something my current character or a member of my legacy can use -- ignoring the companion aspect unless there is a cosmetic reason for them to use it.
  3. I get quest rewards where I need to select a new weapon for a companion. Given that the companion character screen clearly caries a disclaimer stating that "Companions do not get any stat bonuses from equipment", why would I need an adaptive weapon for one? Sakshale [recently returned founder]
  4. Good Lord! I just spent an hour fighting invisible walls trying to access that beast!
  5. I wonder if it is a Win8 issue. My fall back machine is also Win7 home premium.
  6. I had just about given up on Datacrons. I'm one of those guys who wants to track down every bit of lore there is. I have multiple characters over 50, but had stopped trying to get all the Datacrons, because of issues related to "jumping". It just didn't work consistently. Today, I decided I was going to do my damnedest to complete every Datacron with my latest character. I spent over two hours trying to collect the Endurance +2 Datacron in the Blacksun Territory on Coruscant. While I was at it, my son came in and harassed me about playing on my Win8 box, after having just upgraded the graphics on my Win7 system. So, I updated SWTOR on it and resumed my hunt. Ten minutes later I had that Datacron in hand. Another ten minutes and I had the Cunning +2 in Justicar Territory. All because I changed computers! I submit to you that a MMORPG should not change its difficulty, simply because you are playing a different computer.
  7. And yet another thank you... and a "blat" to the support team that doesn't seem to be able to fix this simple thing.
  8. After completing the Corusant story line, I received a letter from Yuon with the following: There were no "materials" attached to the mail, just 197 credits.
  9. It is too bad you've completely missed the point. No one said it was mandatory. No one said there were no other options. We are simply providing feedback that "from our perspective" there is a problem with the user interface or the design when it comes to the Datacrons. If the jump dynamics were more predictable and consistent, I would love the design of the current problems. However, when so many people have problems with the interface, it would be nice if they would; Look into the mechanics and verify the functionality. Provide a tutorial on how to "jump" If it is so easy for you, you must be doing something different. Please explain for us "dummies" who just can't get it right.
  10. This is an internet MMORPG with issues related to latency, bandwidth ... and recently a memory leak in the SWTOR program itself. It is not Mario on a dedicated console. Spending two hours, doing the same things over and over again, with different and inconsistent results says the problem is not in the user, but in the program. Now, if you could provide me with pointers as to why I hit the space bar and drop down into the crack, instead of jumping over it, that might be helpful.
  11. Just needed to bring this out again. I am a returning player who decided to fill in some of the blanks. I couldn't believe it when I returned to Coruscant and tried the Endurance +2 one in Black Sun Territory. I spent almost two hours before giving up. I tried many different jump patterns and found the performance to be inconsistent! (understatement) and unpredictable. The real thing that got me is that, at level 10, Coruscant is still an area for beginner's. Having one of the most difficult datacrons there is a good way to stop people from looking for them. They just aren't fun. I love solving puzzles without going to internet sites, but gave up on it years ago with datacrons. The inconsistencies with hill climbing, jumping and invisible walls simply make it too difficult to repeat and simply "not fun". (I especially like it when you carefully position yourself, square with an object, jump and get deflected off to one side over a drop, only to go back, do exactly the same thing and have it work.)
  12. Interesting. That would explain why I only see "Lightning Storm", a heroic ability, listed under my Legacy Abilities. But, this seems like a bad design from a marketing perspective. The users doesn't appear to have a clue that the abilities are active outside of the legacy status page. They should be listed under the character's abilities as passive or unlocked.
  13. My Sith Inquistor shows three unlocked Imperial legacies under global unlocks. However, I can't find them in he abilities listing under any category? I am specifically looking for the Sith Inquisitor Chapter 2 Buff. What am I missing?
  14. That spot is the "Fen of the First". I actually picked up the datacron, without going near it and had to go back and get it.
  15. Ever since I posted this one, I've become more aware of how much of the territory I am ignoring, simply because there is no value in exploring it.
