  1. The link works for me. Thank you very much. I have one comment to the guide. I only skimmed it and didn't read it all over again, but I think you didn't cover the following: Suppose Flame Engine just procced, starting its internal 18s cooldown. You immediately use Flamethrower, starting its 16.5s cooldown. When Flamethrower comes off cooldown, you immediately use it again with no proc. Halfway through your Flamethrower-channel, the internal cooldown of Flame Engine will end and now suppose it so happens that you proc Flame Engine while still channelling Flamethrower. What happens now is the following: 1) Your Flamethrower cooldown gets reset while still channeling the first Flamethrower giving you a second Flamethrower channel. 2) When the first Flamethrower ends, you lose the Flame Engine proc which makes your next Flamethrower cost heat and having a 3s-channel. You end up with two Flamethrower channels, but both of them are heat-expensive and slow. I don't know if it's possible to exploit Flame Engine by clipping the two Flamethrowers. As far as I recall, the 1.5s-channel cannot be saved by clipping. The heat cost might be avoidable, I didn't check. Note that once the above happens, the internal cooldown of Flame Engine gets triggered 1.5s before the second Flamethrower is used. Therefore, Flame Engine now gets off cooldown at the same time as Flamethrower, allowing for Flame Engine to proc during the whole 3s Flamethrower-channel, increasing the chance that Flame Engine can not be fully exploited. I didn't play my Powertech in a while and I'm currently unable to play at all, so this is a phenomenon which I saw several months ago and can't test right now. It might have been changed, but if it hasn't one might advocate to spend a talent-point to reduce the Flamethrower-cooldown to 15s. Due to lag, human error and delays of Flamethrower, the same scenario might still occur, but it is less likely which might (needs to be tested) result in higher dps and tps.
  2. Nah, they were just too busy worshipping a certain Trandoshan to mention the emperor's plans. Good point though. Consular Class story spoilers below: I have a question for you, concerning the children of the emperor. Is there any indicator how the children of the emperor reacted to the death of the first born? Are they aware of what they are now? Otherwise one might speculate that Lana Beniko can feel the disturbance in the force growing, because she's a child of the emperor.
  3. Nice compendium about the emperor and some interesting speculations. You forgot one group of people who might have known more about the emperor's plans though: The Dread Masters met the emperor (or the voice?) after their liberation and who knows what has been said at that meeting.
  4. B'oarder, who was responsible for the homepage where the guide was posted, has left the game quite a while ago. The homepage went down at that time and all the guides there became unavailable, which is quite a pity. If MGN... is still around, he might still have the guide and can post it on the forums. It is more about playstyle and less about gearing though (as far as I remember). For gearing, I recommend checking KBNs thread in the 'Role'-subforum (within the class forum). It's currently the only thread in that subforum and it's stickied. Impossible to miss.
  5. Leveling another Agent, I just had this one (after Balmorra):
  6. I'm sorry to say that I have to abandon the game as well. I'm one week away from big RL-changes and I won't be able to post from that point on, at least not frequently enough for this kind of game. While I could still go on for a week, the current situation is very convenient to let B4 become disfunctional. I originally assumed that the game would take three weeks which would have fitted into my window of free time, but given the pace until now - and my miscalculation with the effect of strongholds on the game, I doubt that I could see the game to its conclusion within a week. I will still read, as time allows. There are still several things that I want to read before the end (hintpacifistteamhint).
  7. If Boran could affect the Zakkegs with a wave of fear, I guess they were already rather close at that point. Firing at a wounded Boran first and worrying about the charging Zakkeg afterwards seems very dangerous. Also: The Narrator post doesn't say anything about it, but since the wave of fear was sent out blindly, shouldn't it affect everything nearby, including BB, in some sort? Not as much as the Zakkegs, of course, but it might unsettle her enough to focus on the wrong target first. Like: BB injures Borans severely/fatally and the Zakkeg injures BB severely/fatally.
  8. Paintings: I'd like to see a wider variety of paintings. Currently, there are two abstract paintings and Karagga's Portrait. I'd like to see another abstract painting and several landscape paintings. If I recall correctly, there are examples for landscape paintings on Makeb (in Avesta's house?) and Corellia (in the offices of the corporates in the imperial starting area?). Last but not least, I'd like to see some expressionistic paintings for a Sith-madman's house. Reiterating what has been mentioned before: Please create bathtubs, showers, refreshers and kitchenettes of various styles (imperial, republic, luxury, Selkath...). Preferably outside of the cartel market, but if that's no option, then I'd settle for having them in the cartel market. Edit: Forgot one thing: Add a swimming pool. The blood pool in the heroic quest on Korriban could be a good starting point for creating a swimming pool.
  9. No hurry, Sel. Although seeing the autocorrects of your phone might be entertaining. Offtopic on Strongholds:
  10. I guess, this is on hold, until our Strongholds don't look so empty anymore? (Just asking, not complaining)
  11. I couldn't go over the whole thing yet, but a few things about B4's behaviour: BB gave it the plasma grenade. It had plenty of time to analyze it. It would recognize the signal detonator and remove it (as I wrote in an earlier post). In the IC thread, I wrote for B4 to remain out of explosion range for the Plasma Grenade (if it explodes right at Borans feet). In the OOC thread, I assumed the explosion range to be 10-15 meters. If it is 20 meters (and B4 knows more about these things than I do), that's the distance the droid had. The droid could see BB placing the mines. It wouldn't walk across them. BB didn't give the droid a reason assume any sort of loyalty between them, so walking over a mini-minefield placed by her would go against its selfpreservation programs. B4 has isolation against extreme temperatures. While 7000 degree is a lot, even for the droid, I don't think it's scrap. Damaged, yes, but not unfunctional. Edit 1: The Pyro grenades in-game (so same era) have a range of 5 or 8 meters and they are somewhat familiar to Plasma Grenades. Edit 2: B4 removed the signal detonator while it rolled downwards these 2.5 miles to approach Borans. A droid and an hermit don't move that fast. There was plenty of time. It's not like these signal detonators were attached by an imperial fixer in his office where he had plenty of time to make sure they couldn't be removed. Edit 3: Given BBs offensive nature in each encounter and the fact that she never tried to establish any communication with B4 means, that no loyalty could be built up. Every grenade was triggering B4s selfpreservation protocols. That's the difference from an imprinted master to the only person around who might present a way to more suited masters.
  12. I sent you another PM to clarify. Don't want to spoil it here. Edit: And with that, it's time to go to sleep for me. You'll get the answer to the rest of your questions tomorrow, Borans.
  13. Indeed, a vocabulator would be gold. Or another droid who can translate *hinthint*. Let's just say, that I sent you a PM that was related to the 'thing' not long after the start of the game. B4's programming will suddenly get completely different priorities.
  14. That's the intention. I think, I found a way for Borans and Vashti to communicate. But now we really need LK or Sel to step into place for Vashti. Sorry Sil, but B4 just isn't on top of that situation. It's still waiting for a certain thing to happen. Edit: Your post just reminded me of an achievement triple in the game about the contradicting nature of organics. They don't like droids. They build a lot of droids. But they don't like droids.
  15. Due to its lack of social memories, B4 has nearly no understanding of organic behaviour (outside of emergency repairs in space). Borans will be a complete riddle to the droid. I'm looking forward to the twisted picture B4 will get from the Sith. Edit: The heat sources, B4 is referring to, are the Zakkegs mentioned in an earlier post by LK.
