  1. Have you built a computer previously? Or are you looking for a pre-built?
  2. I wouldn't exactly call that a new computer... (The parts may be new, but they're out of date.) What OS will you be running? I'd recommend upgrading that video card, as well as the memory if at all possible. Will it run it as is, yes... on low or lower settings.
  3. I think this says it best... (Please note, this is purely for humor...)
  4. -_- This is why I should really put the full model number in my searches... The 12992AU is indeed 1.5GHz... The one I quoted reviews from (the 12992PU) is 1.87GHz. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246328 Same price OP... if you're limited to that price range, get the more powerful version.
  5. Just click report post and give your reasons. (Assuming swearing, trolling etc...) If it's misinformation, correct it. ^_^
  6. The only minimum it doesn't "meet" is that it's a 1.87GHz processors instead of a 2.0GHz. However, since it's a quad-core, that's a moot point. the main thing holding it back would be the Intergrated Radeon HD 6480G. Which still is above minimum. On a budget, it'll do the job.
  7. http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/5083 Which is to say that you have to sub before you get your 30 days. If you use a game card, it's instant and you get 90 days and can send friend invites immediately. If you use a CC you get game access, but it can take a few days to process the transaction between them and your CC, at which point you can begin invites. (And have 60-days.)
  8. OK... yeah, it can take 1-3 days for your CC to go thru (where you can play, but aren't "officially" subscribed), at which point you'll be able to use your friend invites. If you toss a 2-month card in on top of that, you should have... 120 days before your CC gets billed again. (30 days from the initial CC sub, 60 days from the time card and 30 days from the free 30.)
  9. If you just purchased the game, you won't get your 30-days until after your first billing cycle. Either by entering a card (thereby getting 90-days) or subbing with a cc. (In which case they bill you for your first 30 days, then the next 30 is free.) ~Edit~ If you just got a trial invite from a friend, that's 7 days, and you still have to purchase the game + game time.
  10. Keep in mind the above system ran about $530 once they included the OS (and includes various rebates, and isn't a retail system, so the OP would have to build it)... But the price difference on the hardware now as opposed to back in December MAY make up for it... A similar pre-built (minus video card) is available at NewEgg - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229310 Toss in a decent video card, and you should be OK. (It may even run SWTOR using the integrated video, though not on high etc...) If you want to see about potential upgrades (not likely) on your current machine, install CPU-Z and let us know what hardware you currently have. http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
  11. You have to keep your eyes open for patrols. Take them down first, or wait for them to go by, then take the elite. In situations where that's not possible, burn down the weakest enemy first. If you have the Abilities available, stun or otherwise incapacitate the elite while you take out the patrol. Between you and your companion, you should be able to take elites anywhere from 2 to 4 levels higher than you, even with their adds or the occasional pat butting in.
  12. Must have been, cause they only had 3 more waves of transfers open up... Imagine that... Day 1... 3 waves. Day 2... 3 waves. Day 3... 3 waves. Want to make any guesses on tomorrow?
  13. Guilds on multiple games. Also multiple servers for some of the popular games. Sub-divisions for 20 games in total at the moment. (MMOs, FPS, Strategy etc...)
