  1. I am also looking for a new guild, and yours sounds like it might be a good fit. Are you still recruiting?
  2. As a player who has left and come back several times (and is strongly considering leaving again), here's the things that have made me quit and come back: Story content stagnation/droughts: The flow of new story content has been very feast/famine since I started a few months before RotHC. Right now feels like famine. KotET felt too short, the ending too abrupt. Iokath is terrible in its design and the story there feels largely unfinished. Then we get two horrible flashpoints trying to tell a story that would be so much better if told on the actual planets, like back in the old days. KotFE was great when it was first introduced, but I'm well past ready to be done with the entire story arc (which still feels unfinished, to me). And can we please get the rest of our old companions back soon? I mean ALL of them except the ones that have been killed off already (good riddance, Skadge!). If this new method of telling the story through flashpoints is how things are going to be done going forward, I'm not going to stick around. Ops: SWTOR is one of the few MMO's where I enjoy doing Ops (raids). Boss fights are well designed. In the vast majority of cases they aren't overly complex or difficult, but still reasonably challenging on Veteran/Master. Unfortunately we haven't gotten a full-length new op in quite a long time. Now we're getting bosses for a new op at a pace of about one every 6 months? On top of this I can't help but feel like there's very few (if any) guilds running ops on a regular basis these days. I suspect this is due to fewer players around in general. Loot system: Up until KotFE, I felt that SWTOR had one of the best loot systems of all the major MMO's around (at the time). I really can't say that any more. Sure the conversion to Mastery and Adaptive armor made getting geared much easier, but it sucked a lot of flavor out of the system. Then, to make things worse, the CXP crates were added, and Ops boss loot tables were randomized. Thankfully it's slowly getting put right, but the CXP grind should never have been added in the first place (imho). So what would get me to stick around? Here's a quick list: 1. New set of chapters released (preferably all at once) wrapping up the entire Eternal Empire/Alliance storyline and reuniting us with ALL of our lost companions. 2. The remaining bosses in the new Ops released all at once. Vet and Master mode don't have to be included right away, but soon (within a few months at most) thereafter. 3. Removal of the CXP grind. Raise the level cap to 80. Raise the Legacy cap to 100. 4. Addition of new playable races/classes to the game. Sorry about the wall-of-text, but it felt necessary.
  3. Kira and Mako are the two I want back the most. So much so that I broke down and used the terminal to get them back. But it's just not the same without them being able to participate in dialogues.
  4. Your throw applies the sunder. As for generating enough rage, you do need to throw an enrage in there, but it's off the GCD. I recommend hitting it right after you hit your Ravage due to the longer animation from that. Sentinel opener rotation is a completely different beast.
  5. I alter this slightly to allow for better DoT spreading in AoE situations: Throw>Charge>Impale>Ravage>Shatter>Scream>Slam. Slam spreads the DoTs from the other 3 abilities. If you have the right amount of alacrity, you should be able to get the slam off just before the DoTs from Impale and Ravage wear off. Also, I rarely use chilling scream unless I need the AoE stun for some reason.
  6. Between the 3 characters I've gotten to 70, I've opened about a dozen GC crates. Zero set pieces, 1 or 2minor upgrades, 1 or 2 usable recipes. Disintegrated everything else. It's worth mentioning that my main already had 224/216 Set items from KotFE
  7. Getting PvE gear before KotFE wasn't all that hard, assuming you could find a guild willing to carry you for a couple of farming runs to get geared enough to join them on their progression runs, and you were frugal enough to shell out some creds for crafted items to fill in the blanks. KotFE made gearing almost too easy, IMO. With easily solo farmable currency you could get near BiS gear. Sure you still needed to run ops for set pieces and true BiS weaps and relics and such, but the 216/220 currency gear was still perfectly viable for all but some NiM ops. That's not to say that the system we have now isn't a horrible mess. Some RNG has it's place in any game, even an MMO. End game loot progression is not one of those places, however.
  8. OK, I'll bite. 1. Removal of gear for currency/Moving virtually all end-game gear to command crates, an entirely RNG system (sarcasm: because that worked out so well for WoW). 2. Many areas in the new content are horribly laggy/buggy. 3. No return of some favorite companions (Mako, Kira, Elara).
  9. I've seen this posted on Reddit but I wanted to post it here as well to make sure the devs know about it. It involves the last fight, so i'm putting it in spoiler tags, just cuz Please fix this ASAP because I cannot complete the chapter in story mode until it's fixed. Veteran mode works fine, but is extremely difficult with the gear my character currently has.
  10. I kinda have to agree that these subscriber rewards other than early access aren't really making me want to stay subscribed. When they first announced the subscriber rewards program I was hoping for stuff like mounts, pets, armor sets that actually look cool and UNIQUE! HK-55 is a cool companion, but he's a droid, and I don't want to make myself look like him. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that regard, either.
  11. I agree. I've had it happen several times where the Exarch died while in the air due to dots, only to not be lootable. Also, the hit boxes for looting corpses of sky troopers and the robots that drop the mission items you use on the exarch on the 3 rooms phase is either too small or mis-aligned, making it almost impossible to click on, especially in the heat of battle. Somebody needs to fix it. Sooner rather than later, please.
  12. Pub Belsavis and Hoth (Both). I'll do whatever it takes to avoid doing the planet arc on those two planets.
  13. As far as I can tell they're all still available. Also, only the character(s) that start the KOTFE storyline are locked out.
