  1. They removed our characters importance built over the previous story in the game before KOTFE and hoped it could act as a soft reset... I just hope once they get over the focus on MMO content that they return to the base game stories in some manner. At the very least a true return to Republic & Empire, a storyline that actually acknowledges the fact we are different classes with different backgrounds, personalities & attitudes or a return to companion stories that make them important again. Seems unlikely though, the aim of the devs is to make the classes nothing more than combat differences with the same story across them all, just many of us don't like it since it wasn't that way pre-KOTFE.
  2. Unique story was what set SWTOR apart from other mmos, reducing it to one fits all story & moving the story away from our characters by removing companions & any class impact from before KOTFE was a mistake IMO. I too hope for more story but a return to our character's importance in the game, not NPC, also a return to our class companion storylines.
  3. 1. Class Story: Class specific orientated stories that add the extra mix-up that actually makes me want to create new characters regularly, many mmos I'll stick with one class and character since the game plays the same 80% of the time, SWTOR has kept me coming back due to the class storylines. Obviously that only really lasts until SOR expansion though which is disappointing, I try to take a character through the rest while leveling a new toon to keep my sanity. I would love to see additionally class story even if it's one quest like Rishi where I'll want to take an alt all the way through in one go. 2. Companion Stories: One of my favourite parts of this game is not only companions being around that make soloing so much more fun than other MMOs, it's the sheer detail that went into the companion stories, I will level up affection on every new toon and will listen to the convos and do the quests on all new characters. I always hoped they would add companion quests to the other class specific companions in addition to your first companion but it never came to be. One of the worst things they did was 'remove' companions in KOTFE and thus the built up stories, I haven't taken all classes through KOTFE yet but I was disappointed at the lack of continuation of companion specific stories. 3. Solo Space Missions: These were fantastic to play when I got into the game when it became available in Australia, at the time server stability sucked which made any form of grouping beyond flashpoints a high pingfest and it was great playing these missions. I would probably spend as much time grinding these as playing the rest of the game and it sucked getting GSF and not an expansion to this mode. I could catch up on shows, comics and manga while playing SWTOR and not having to keep stopping for cutscenes. 4. Flashpoints: I may be a solo centric player but I do enjoy grouping and teamplay at times, what ruined them for me for a long time was Spacebar idiots in storymode flashpoints and rushing/skipping most of the fights just to rush to the end. One of the best things they did was make many of these flashpoints solo so I could actually enjoy myself and not have my time ruined by impatient players, if they were to expand this further to other MMO content I would be even happier. Before the solo mode being added I would solo or duo these alot and that was way more fun than other players despite more deaths.
  4. Yes I know they were removed from the fleet in 4.0 but wondering whether there is a list of known locations for flashpoint couriers, I tried googling and searching on here. I've found some on a new character playthrough but Athiss & Cademimu couriers are still eluding me. On a similar note they also removed ending cutscenes for heroics, don't suppose there's some hidden toggle like the Dark/Light choice one behind the minimap that'll allow one to manually return to quest givers to get end cutscenes to heroics?
  5. Well I did these quests on 3 characters and was never able to actual finish it because I took my time leveling alts before I got to the group end missions, by the time I wanted to do it I could never get a group going, ended up just deleting them from the quest like the Oricon Op missions and not bothering to start it on future characters, a shame they locked interesting story content away with such ending quest chains missions. Before level & the boister sync additions were made to the game I was planning on doing what I usually do in mmos where large scale grouping is unappealing and soloing the Ops, world bosses (which I did do many before level sync, instances) and group content once geared and overleveled enough to not die immediately. Not only do these unsoloable FPs, Heroic missions or Ops have mechanics that actually require other players to be present, but the above additions make it unlikely to be soloable ever. A shame since besides gameplay videos on Youtube (which generally has voiceovers, no actual detailed exploration and etc I'll never get to actually see the great level designs, boss mechanics & story content that is just sitting out of reach. I've accepted I'll never see these though so I just keep playing what I can, besides WoW this the only mmo that can consistently bring me back after a period away with the updates (well not the most recent group only expansion though now the story is done but I'm sure I'll have a reason to return later).
  6. Iokath was something at least, I agree with you though, large group only content has me unsubscribe and play other games until something I can play comes back (I've been bitter of ops since dread masters & the 2 makeb solo quests that end in group content though). I dislike hearing group players saying it's unfair if only solo content is released but everyone including them can play that solo content, reverse the roles and only those into the large scale content and generally only a premade group get something out of it. I'm not saying dedicate like the last two expansions to the solo crowd but something small could easily be added to keep the solo crowd like me sated, even just clues leading to a spot for a random new convo, even a new terminal quest that takes you to an old planet to kill something that happens regularly (like take a gold mob taken from a heroic and just put it on another world and the mission order is to kill it would be nice).
  7. Someone else who enjoys the space missions in this game, sad that it got scrapped. I remember getting excited when the secret space project was originally announced only to sigh when it was revealed it was PvP only. I still have hope they may update the solo version with new missions at some point but doubt it'll ever happen. Anyway to answer your question yes it is possible to beat them all but you constantly have to move, switch between weapon and fast shield recharge whenever you can, make sure to spam missiles on shielded enemies and use the EMP in specific places. Generally where you can take out the most enemies or turrets (like in the short heroic space mission put invulnerability on before entering the space mine area, then set it off 3/4 through the field to knock out the mines and the turrets on destroyer, then you just missile the command center and engines.). It is a massive difficultly spike though and you will probably die many times figuring out the best method, if you're struggling though check out dulfy.net or youtube for specific missions.
  8. My toggle was hidden behind the minimap, I had the same issue of gaining only DS points until I went to interface editor and saw it.
