  1. It's true; the guild continues to be welcoming, fun and tolerant of the busy lifestyle of a grown-up. We'll welcome you when you can join us, and not penalise you when life, jobs, kids, grandkids, spouses, pets, travel and so forth commandeer your time. There's no drama; just shared love of Star Wars and Bioware. We're also planning some Hallowe'en activities, so if you're over 40, find us online by putting "Elders" in your search bar, and start working on your costume!
  2. Hi! Here's the information about our Discord channel from the guild website. I'm assured it's all up-to-date now. Hope to see you about! http://republicelders.gamerlaunch.com/sections/discord/?gid=521740
  3. I've been in this guild for about half a year and it's a great place to be. I even dragged my husband back to the game on the strength of how much fun I was having. Everyone is helpful and kind, especially to players who are new to some of the content, or are coming back after a hiatus, as I did. We (well, I) tend to concentrate on the PvE content, and most nights you can find people to run a flashpoint or an op, or just chat to as you level yet another alt. There's no drama, and high tolerance of our busy lives occasionally getting in the way of what we'd rather be doing. If you're over 40, do a search using "Elders" as a keyword, and we'll be happy to chat to you or invite you to the guild.
  4. You can play the Nathema FP in story mode multiple times if you go to Odessen and pick it up in the Control Room where you land after the Copero and Umbara FPs. You just can't QT there.
  5. Maybe he died of a broken heart; you know, just lost the will to live. I mean, if it was good enough for Padme ... (why yes, I AM still salty about that ... )
  6. Oh, honey. This is Star Wars; whatever they do, there'll be massive fan outrage. Tweets will be tweeted, flounces will be flounced, childhoods will be ruined. Massive screeds will be written and disgruntled fans will post them to ever corner of the net, no matter what decisions are made by the people actually telling the story. All they can really do is tell the story they want to tell, make it the best one they can, and brace for the inevitable wailing from people whose headcanon it doesn't mesh with. It's been this way since TESB.
  7. So, it's not one heroic per Legacy per day like they are saying in the changes thread upstream? Or do I have the wrong end of the stick? (If I'm understanding ... It's one heroic, sit around waiting for a completely arbitrary timer to run down, another heroic, rinse and repeat? Yeah ... not ACTUALLY better, devs). Although, I can see how making us log off for 15 minutes, and then log back in, would get unique player login numbers to look nice and sexy. Not that I am cynical or anything.
  8. My pro-tem headcanon is that as the Rebellion builds, Leia has shot to the top of the New Order's Most Wanted List as she goes about recruiting, fomenting rebellion and so on. So she's DEEEEEEP undercover; even her closest associates have not laid eyes on her since the Battle of Crait, for her safety and theirs. But Whenever a system goes into revolt, her name is the rallying cry. Her image becomes a symbol of rebellion. When our Heroes receive vital intelligence, her fingerprints and her advice are everywhere. She can't say where she is, and no one knows what she looks like these days, but behind the scenes, she's as powerful as Mon Mothma must have been against the Empire.
  9. Whereas I though it was more "your companion is a bit of a box-wine drinking floozy, but they'll betray you soon, so butter them up while you can ... "
  10. +1 For Makeb Gazebo Tauntaun that was given out at early Cantinas FP decoration drops (or just up the RNG rate)
  11. Same; I guess it's merger related hijinks ...
  12. Have I missed something? If the loot from crates you have already opened is going to be retrospectively converted into components anyway, why hoard crates? You might be hoarding a crate that turns out, against overwhelming odds, to have that last piece of BiS armour in it. You could have it a couple of weeks sooner, or at the very least, you don't lose anything by looking.
  13. Gav Daragon (APAC) to Bergeren Colony, with a few alts on Harbinger.
  14. Bug still there. Thanks to all for the tips on dismissing the droid.
