  1. PVP Heals 1. Unkillable gods of PVP heals. 2. Easy to control by enemies if they know how, too reliant on Upper Hand procs which always seem to not want to proc when you REALLY need one. Great "oh crap" time heals through level DPS but with burst dmg its hard to keep someone up, Great at keeping everyone capped off with HoTs.
  2. Tactics (NORS) Spec (PVP only) 1. Not worth using, Assault Specialist is king of PVP! 2. Fun utility spec, more enjoyable than Assault Specialist. Can get lots of damage done with boosted AoE and easy ammo management but not enough burst to kill someone in PVP effectively. Can bring pressure but not kills.
  3. Defense Spec: 1. Mobile and Hard to bring down. Hits like a wet noodle. 2.Very Mobile, and die rather quickly against certain classes (like inquisitors) without proper support (like good healers). Wish I could hit as hard as even a wet noodle.

    Glass Cannons?

My friends and I are starting to notice something in 50s WZs and RWZs that is not adding up. Typically everyone is getting PVP gear to PVP and you can get a fair assessment of how "geared" someone is by what their health is. However I've started noticing very few players who have in the 14k health range, yet kill my Tank Guardian in mere seconds. One player I noticed every time I got near him my health would disappear completely in less than 5 seconds, I would look and it would be his name in my chat box who killed me, yet when I target him he only had 14k health. My friends have noticed a few other noticeably stronger players on our server in PVP matches, all of whom put up ridiculous damage numbers and seem to kill us without us being able to do anything about it, yet they have remarkably low HP signifying to me that their gear is not that great. What are we seeing? Are there good enough mods out there to swap out that gut your Endurance for remarkably better damage stats? Is there some form of cheating that goes on that we're just noticing? Not mentioning any specific classes or anything like that because I'm not looking for a "nerf war" or anything, just wondering if there is something I'm missing gear wise as I was unaware of a way to significantly lower your health in PVP to gain that much more fire power. Edit: Oddly enough I titled this "Glass Cannon" but I'm not even sure if that's the case because thinking about it, I don't recall actually KILLING any of these players I've noticed.
  5. Link one... All I've ever seen is people getting mad at the devs who refuse to say this because the devs claim that Guardian DPS should be just as good as Sentinel DPS whether they have options or not. Guardians have a choice between 2 styles of DPS and 1 Tank, where Sentinel has a choice between 3 styles of DPS, but that doesn't mean they should be better at it than guardians. That has been what I've heard from the Devs since this game was in Beta. And I've heard people QQ about it every time the devs would say it. Now everyone is upset because it hasn't turned out to be true and you realize why the devs wanted it to be equal DPS in the first place. You should chose the class and style DPS you want to and be equal to any other DPS in the game, not having to chose sentinel/gunslinger because its innately better and will always be better.
  6. Lol are you from the 60's? You cannot take twitter out of the picture in today's world. Sorry. And any big announcements on SWTOR were made public here, the things you get from his twitter were hints that something was coming and him answering questions that many people had.
  7. Yeah, seeing as how he RARELY posted ANYTHING personal on his twitter. In fact the ONLY REASON I HAVE A TWITTER is so I could follow him and keep up with things going on in the game. Get a clue, you cannot take twitter and Facebook out of anything in today's world. And if you'd ever even looked at his twitter you would know it was 95% or more devoted to nothing but SWTOR. Also if you'd looked he'd already explained his recent silence in that he was tied up in trying to get the Group Finder in game. Thanks for your support, now why do you pay money to be here again? Rockjaw gave us all the information he could whenever he could.
  8. Yeah, still annoyed by this 2 days after the fact. Should not have been spoiled in game from a game selling story.
  9. I was, but I was getting to the point where I could start putting points into other tree's, so I was looking to see where I wanted to put them. Thanks for the insight.
  10. I was just coming to post about this. This is very poorly done. I was getting very suspicious about what all was going on, the quest name "Frozen Demon" and then quest objective to "Deliver the Frozen Man" and then this Codex entry pops up and basically ruins the whole end of the story... I think I've seen another Codex entry pop up like that. This REALLY should have been given AFTER the conclusion of this quest or something. This should have never been done.
  11. Actually yes I did (had to view your posts though cause I don't really pay attention to who says what on these forums, something about the layout I have to make myself look at who posted) but I had already been leaning towards that direction after talking with the guy on my server. Its one thing to read a bunch of people on the forums and their opinion, its another to play against someone night after night and see how they frustratingly beat you every night. Especially when they are using your class. I was actually surprised he WASN'T running the hybrid from the things I was hearing here, but I'm going to change up his spec a little bit because I'm not too fond of how he spent his other 10 for my play style.
  12. 31 made all the difference in the world. Plus my logic change on how I apply my SRMP's. Rather than trying to keep 3 people at 2 stacks all the times, just hitting anyone near who's taking a hint of damage with one. Once I got the 31 point talent that refunds the UH when under 30% health, I went from feeling useless to maniacally laughing and screaming JUST THIS ONCE ROSE, EVERYBODY LIVES! Though I'm probably going to go on to full 31 spec. I'm hearing that it plays with groups better and I"m usually queuing with at least 2 other people in voice comms. The invincible Op healer from my server told me the spec he was running and it was full healing as well. If I go and get sucker punch I'm going to get myself in trouble trying to do damage rather than heal again.
  13. Thanks for the tips. Thats pretty much the spec I've been running myself but I'm only at 30 so I don't have the "free" EM talent yet. I've really only played one or two WZs since I hit 30. Moved on to try some other stuff but it was mostly just after a night of frustrating WZs. My numbers as far as healing goes are never all that great, even when I feel like I was healing like a madman. I just always feel like I'm behind on healing, like fighting get out of a hole. I hear some people say that Soundrel healing is much more anticipated healing than reactive healing. And part of me wonders if that's my problem or what. I don't really have energy issues, I typically get killed before I run out of energy. Part of my problem that I think I'm picking up on is the way I handle my SRMP. I've typically tried to get double stacks on me and 2 other people and keep them that way rather than casting 1 at a time on whoever is near me and keeping them rolling that way. That seems to be the preferred way to do it that I'm seeing now so I'll try to mix things up a little tonight. I personally feel I've gotten used to using LOS and especially cover to aid my healing. Cover is a great mechanic for Scoundrel heals because I can keep people from charging or pulling me. I like the class just feel like I'm struggling to get my heals working well and am fighting over whether its more talents needed, better gear maybe, or just learning how to work it better. I know some of the Ops healers I go up against are absolutely ridiculous. I know one on my server has a pub alt, so I'm trying to get with him and get some tips. Any more help from anyone else is greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
  14. Been messing around with a Scoudrel healing in PVP. After 2 tanks I wanted to try something different and having played Rogues in other games I felt like a stealth healer might make healing feel better for me For the most part I've been frustrated. Everything always tells me to keep waiting till I get another talent. First was SRMP, and that helped a little, then I wanted the talent that gives me UH procs off SRMP. Still seemed a little lack-luster, so then I looked forward to EM. I've played a few matches at 30 and I'm still not overly impressed. I feel like all my heals hit me like wet noodles. I see other scoundrels posting large healing numbers and I'm not getting anywhere close. Honestly I know part of my problem is I get into smaller fights and wind up trying to fight rather than heal. I wonder if maybe my gear isn't as good as I think it is and I need to get some better stuff. Will check on that. My biggest question is spec. I want to do one of the hybrids as I'm told they're much better in PVP. I'm just at a turning point right now. I know I want to get the free EM under 30% hp as well as Psych Meds, but I'm torn on Homegrown Pharmacology. I see a lot of Hybrids skip that talent but in feeling like my heals are already weak I felt like it would help. Does it not help as much as I'm hoping it does? Are those points better spent in a hybrid build in something like Stopping Power or Round Two? Thanks for the help
