  1. I'll give the #1 competition a try; gotta get those credits for my lifelong juma juice supply. Oh, and death sticks. Because death sticks. Cool event, sorry to see anyone leave the game but I understand your reasons, I feel the same but I'm willing to stick to it for a bit longer. Good luck to everyone!
  2. I like both systems, but I personally prefer the current one. I have always preferred to say "My chest is 180" than "my chest is 78". I think the easiest way for this to work is to simply add an option to the Interface section of Preferences which would swap between 180/78, depending on if it was ticked or something. That would, everyone would have their preferred way of looking at the numbering system.
  3. His singing is terrible, his gameplay sucks and he's a bit rubbish at PvP. Apart from that, he's awesome.
  4. Don't want it, don't play. Double XP = More characters to 55 = quite a lot of player's happy. (I still think they should add some kind of NPC near the Skill Mentor that will let you stop gaining experience, for a cost of like 5000 credits and gradually go up, like the respec costs.)
  5. I'm glad they haven't done a Halloween event but they could have... I mean, it is in the lore already but it wouldn't fit the timeline so... good job BioWare for not going with the crowd and saying, "Other MMO's have it, we need it too! Get some decorations on the Fleet or something, I don't care! Screw the lore, we want money!"
  6. Because everyone knows the game engine is at fault here. -_- By the way, you can't switch a game engine and save a game. That would require months, if not years of development time. And that would kill the game anyway. So... /thread plz.
  7. After this interview, I have a civil duty to call for a petition: Put functional GTN terminal's on the station. We neeeeeed to do our shopping before the killing!!
  8. This just goes to prove the Internet is stupid: People expect consistent PvP updates from a PvE and story driven advertised game.
  9. It really depends on you. Not being in a guild isn't a big deal, but once you reach 55, you will likely want to try and find one you might like as you will probably find it easier to get runs of stuff going. Now that you have reached 50, I suggest that you: 1. Do 50 HM's and get some 61/146 gear. It'll help for when you do Makeb (It's not required since you get a variety of gear as you do the Makeb storyline but once you start getting to the level 53+ mobs, things can get a bit difficult without better gear). 2. Find a guild/wait for a long time in Group Finder and do some 50 operations. I recommend that you do some flashpoints first, just in case you get EC (Explosive Conflict/Denova), which even on SM, is not going to be easy in basicly leveling gear. 3. Buy/craft the mods. (If you have spare credits, this is probably the quickest and easiest way to get geared) Once you reach 55, I recommend you try one of these methods. 1. Get some credits together and get some 66/156 mods for your items. (Same as before, if you have the credits, this is probably the quickest and easiest way to get geared) 2. Do 50 HM's if you haven't got a full set of 61/146 gear. 3. Do Czerka (CZ-198) (Main reason being that they are fast, give Basic Commendations and the Weekly/Flashpoints give some nice gear for new 55's) Makeb/GSI/Section X and the Bounty Contract Week missions while they are here and get Basic Commendations to spend on 66 gear. After that, go into some 55 HM's, see how it goes. But most of all, take your time and have fun. Gearing up from 50-55 can be a pain if you don't have a guild/credits to help, but I've found it to be quite worthwhile and good practice for 55 stuff. If you have any more questions, let me know. I'll try and answer what I can. Good luck!
  10. Agreed, the fact is (as they have stated) that when 2.4 hits, the people that PvP will be doing Arena's. Ranked Warzones just won't be as popular. And since the system wasn't supported enough, I think it's better they just scrap it, focus on Arena's, get the support in for them to work well, and later in the line add Ranked Warzones back in a more functional and compelling state.
  11. Don't you mean the 4v4 ones? There aren't any new 8v8 maps coming as far as I know. But yes, it seems they are all come in 2.4
  12. I'm a PvE player and I only do PvP occasionaly on my main and normally only on alts that I'm leveling, but I have to say; This. Sounds. Awesome. Let's just hope you guys can pull it off. I'm sort of glad you are getting rid of Ranked Warzones though. They didn't get enough support. If they did (things like ladderboards or special rewards to high-ranked players) then things might have gone better. But if you can provide more support to these Arena matches, I think it'll go quite well with some of my PvP friends. Also, F2P getting access to warzones properly? About time. Now just sort out the flashpoint, operation and experience restrictions and this might actually have a good F2P model.
  13. That's the main way I meant. (as in, all Cartel Coins, or all Credits (plus the legacy level requirement obviously)
  14. Either you are trolling... or you are an idiot. Try reading. It is 2100 Cartel Coins / 1 million credits + Legacy level 40 to unlock the companion on ONE character. "The Mercenary Contract can be purchased as an account-wide (ACCOUNT, not server, not character. All characters, all servers.) unlock (like any other item) after it has been unlocked by one character on the account (700 Cartel Coins). Doing so will allow any other character on the account to pull down a copy of the Mercenary Contract, which can be used to start the quest as above." "Once one character on a Legacy has completed the quest and received the Treek Legacy Unlock, any other character on that legacy can purchase the Treek Character Perk for the appropriate faction, which will instantly grant that character Treek as a Companion without needing to complete the quest again. The Character Perk is purchased with in-game credits (300,000) and requires Legacy Level 40 and Character Level 10." /endthread (In case you didn't get it, it's 2800 for account-wide unlock or 1.3 million credits and legacy level 40).
  15. I know for certain that the Founder's Medal will not be available again. So that basicly answers your question straight away: No.
