  1. How would you distinguish between horrible players and players losing on purpose?
  2. Absolutely true, haven't really thought about that. Sadly there is not a lot going on there though, so that might not be much of a problem (assuming that's the same on every server).
  3. While I agree that some lags were unbareable after 3.0 came out, why would that make it impossible for you to play? Don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure there were quite a few sorries about that performance mess.
  4. I know this isn't what you want, but you can always go to the open world pvp area on Tatooine for that! It's actually quite a cool area :-)
  5. Hell yes to chat bubbles! I personally couldn't care less and would probably deactivate them anyway, but if you can't see how RP'ers want chat bubbles you must really have a limited ability to put yourself in somebody elses shoes.
  6. Hard to say. DPS wise in Ops the highest output would probably be Merc/Commando unless you can reliably use scatterbombs, which I guess in most Ops you can't. If you have the opportunity to AoE a lot, then Sorc/Sage might be in the lead a bit, which is again not that relevant in newer Ops. Overall I'd say it really doesn't matter much. Mercs are useful with nice offhealing abilites, Snipers might arguably have more group utility. Sorc are incredibly mobile and have all kinds of bubble goodness. It really comes down to preference I guess.
  7. Of course it has, but it isn't ranged. That is very much the reason I specifically said you could call them "semi-ranged".
  8. More or less. You need to take into account that there is no ranged class with a taunt (well you could call PT/VG semi-ranged), which means you need to take a meele into some raids anyway. Take Brontes NiM for example. You'll have pretty much the same dps uptime as ranged and you even need to have a melee there. What is very much true though, is that for most bosses in the new Ops you're more or less screwed with more than one or two melee DPS.
  9. Marauder is still very much viable in raids. Annihilation especially. There is a 3.0 Marauder guide on dulfy which also gives some hints on viability of Marauders for different bosses, maybe you should check that out. If you have the option you should probably go ranged though, seeing as the new content strongly favors ranged dps. Mercenery is rather overpowered right now, with people doing over 5k dps on the Ops dummy. Might be the first ones to be nerfed though.
  10. Well shouldn't it be quite the opposite? If we were getting a new Ops every other month I wouldn't even care that much. But we're not and we will not. So why not at least have something which can be achieved way easier and is still fun to do?
  11. While I agree there might rare cases it's hardly what usually happens. The only Ops for Level 50 content I see nowadays are Achievement runs which are no fun at all if it can be soloed by any level 60 char. The problem with level 55 players I do see though. So why not make all SM content level 55 and HM and NiM level 60? Does that sound fair?
  12. The two things don't have too much overlap. A revamp of the old content would hardly require much dev time. A new Ops requires a lot of all parts of the game design, from story, combat to conding and so on. I highly doubt that. Pure F2Ps are not running any Ops because they can't afford Ops passes anyway, and even if they could they would hardly get a team for that. Preffered usually have at least RotHC, so they won't really be needing any level 50 content anyway. It is the perfect comparison actually. I don't want them to change the mechanics, leave them as is. Just change HP and DPS output and we're golden. Now that is just not true. Granted there are SM FPs meant to augment the story and then there are HM FPs which were never meant to be linear, but to be content you could do for endgame. While we're at it, these should be changed to level 55 or 60 as well btw. Regarding Ops I'd even be happy to have SM be level 50 and HM and NiM be level 60. Awesome.
  13. Sure, because everyone who wants to have bugs fixed is an angry exploiter kid . You're certainly the well balanced mature person here.
  14. Dear Bioware, While I enjoy the new content 3.0 brought us (apart from some really annoying bugs), it is arguably a little thin. You have great content there which is basically unused at the moment. I for my part really liked the old Operations. Explosive Conflict for example is a great Operation all around, especially Nightmare Mode. It was well balanced, you still needed a good team, but it wasn't very RNG dependent. Anyhow, you did it before with Terror From Beyond and Xenoanalyst, you increased the level from 50 to 55. Why not go the same route now and increase the old ops at least to level 55, if not 60. It is pretty much dead content right now anyway, so why not make good use of it? Cheers!
  15. While I agree completely with you on the subject of the queues, this is purest nonsense. It furthers your cause, when there are more threads about this. because the higher the waves this thing is causing, the more attention it'll get from devs. Secondly we won't make a fix whatsoever, we can only make our voices heard and hope for some backpedaling on the issue. And on a more personal note, it really makes you sound puffed up...
