  1. pretty sure nvidia users enjoy all games more than ati users, after all nvidia has always and will always be better. same with intel over amd. Just go intel and nvidia and ull never be dissapointed
  2. yeah lets make it so people cant play with thier friends in an MMO, GREAT IDEA! theres about 1000 reasons this game is fail, you need to stop wasting time with bad suggestions when theres so many good ones out there
  3. dont sweat it man your not missing much, swtor is a clone of wow without all the features in the star wars universe
  4. your stats are incorrect, quit making threads with stats that have no basis, you act like wow is the only mmo to offer addons. Addons have been a intricate part of ANY mmo worth its salt for the past decade. It doesnt matter if its possible to get by without them, did you know its possible to live off rice and water, but sorry id much rather eat steak. You are the problem with this game, people who want a inferior game... you are the reason this game will die, because you seem to believe that a mmo with the features of a 2000 game will be good somehow in 2012. Sorry it wont, and its not a bad thing to incorporate the features the MMO community as a whole (BEYOND WOW) have decided is good. Also for you fools who hate everything WoW, should prob wise up and face reality. WoW is the MMO market, nothing can compare to it, and if you want a shot to compete with such a giant, if you cant do EVERYTHING they do perfectly... then improve on an aspect, you wont be able to compete. SWTOR improved on an aspect but left all the bells and whistles behind, which is why the population will drop off big time in the coming months. Maybe thats good in your opinion but again you dont seem too bright, less players = less money = less developement. You can bet your bottom dollar, bioware doesnt want us to "go back to wow".
  5. actually the assassin can never go into stealth because its impossible to drop combat in this game
  6. though it wont make me go back to wow, game doesnt seem worthy of a sub to me though, i hit 50 and i have no care now, the game does seem low quality overall for all the reasons in the world people list. Think the mmo market in general is just kinda flat right now, heres hoping d3 will hold my attention for awhile.
  7. Before you even start, heres how to fix it... addon support... every MMO already solved this problem 10 years ago, get with the times bioware
  8. the gameplay feels like WoW, thats what they were going for thats what we got, this is an MMO, gameplay isnt really hard to design, this isnt an action-adventure console game. The reason you dont hear people talking about it is because its fine, its a copy of WoW, it works, end of story
  9. apparently this is preschool and we need to spell everything out, what he means by listen to them is listen to them as the majority, if the majority of people commenting are saying this game should have addon support, then you should add it to please your community. Thats what WoW does, thats why wow is #1 and thats why SWTOR is looking like being just another MMO that didnt cut it. But its fine, if the devs want to be pigheaded and ignore MMO advancements to be "differnt" let them, instead of us telling them to fix it, in a few months they'll have the EA execs breathing down their neck to fix it, and thats when thier true colors will show... hopefully it wont be too late at that point.
  10. 15. Listen to the people on the forums and treasure the feedback your getting because you want to know the only thing worse than a bunch of people who were let down, complain, and quit... are people who were let down and quit. Treasure the feedback and fix the game, or die I already listed the problems with the game and why I wont be subbing in my cancel subscription form, i encourage anyone who is displeased to do the same, its the only real way for them to GET IT
  11. To start, if you are a diehard WoW hater, or a diehard swtor fanboi then this post isnt for you, as logical reasoning cant sway you. This is on objective review based on someone who actually will consider a valid point, not someone who responds to a reasonable statement with "then don't play the game" or something, because "don't play the game" isnt really an option in biowares mind, they want a winner, they don't want to scrape by, and believe me I would love to see that winner as well. Also im holding SWTOR to a 2012 standard, not a 2004 standard so dont bother saying "well this game didnt have this at release" in 2012 we expect certain features. So here we go... SWTORS quest experience is amazing, that much is undisputed, its engaging in a way that you won't see from any other MMO, and that factor will help them greatly in keeping those many many players who just "try" the game. Its a huge innovation in the MMO genre and i commend them for it. End game is currently medicore, yes all the bits and pieces are there, you have your raids you have your pvp, you have end game gear, but it isnt as streamlined as one would expect. PVP is a basic grind one would expect from a 2006 title, no competitive system, no rated warzones ect, i heard somewhere they are on the way but still a little dissapointing it wasnt at launch. But if they are on the way, good enough, as long as BW doesnt take too long with it. Raiding is lackluster, i mean its just basic raiding, its not groundbreaking or even cutting edge, its just basic raiding, not taking away points for it but not giving them any either. Do not come back and say well this game is about lvling alts, im sorry this is an MMO, a world where MOST people create a character and want that character to progress they don't want to restart every couple months, im sorry thats just not realisitc, end game defines the logevity of an MMO. Features... This is perhaps the biggest and most unforseen miss i would have expected going into this. I just kinda thought in the back of my mind that a 2012 MMO (esp a AAA one) comes with all the bells and whistles. Things like Addon support, and LFD system, server forums, to name a few. Things like this should be in any MMO today especially a AAA one. Addon support is nothing new to the genre, theres a reason its in every MMO worth a damn, because its free innovation in your games UI and the community decides whats NEEDED and what isnt. The LFD system, though a more recent innovation in the genre, is still a staple in a 2012 MMO, im sorry i dont care how your gonna spin it, sitting on the fleet spamming for a group doesnt build community, it deters you from even wanted to experience a flashpoint because you have to waste an hour just to get started. no Server forums? are you kidding me? some of the best server rivalries has emerged from discussion on server forums, not to mention how the hell are guilds supposed to recruit? you want everyone just spamming chat? is every BW decision designed to get more and more chat spam? are we doing a chat stress test here? ***? Theres prob some more stuff to list im missing, but these are the glarring points, Long story short, the game is another MMO, it has innovation in it, but ultimately comes across half done. I have a hard time justifying subbing to a game like this, i mean you play SWTOR and you think of all these things it SHOULD have but doesnt, i played wow for a long time and got sick of it eventually so i quit, but never once did i say god i wish WoW had this feature, because WoW created the features people wanted, and if someone innovated they copied it into the game within months and you had it there and usually it was improved upon. I fear that SWTORs questing innovation will just be another "feature" that blizzard can just take and implement into thier game (titan? or whatever). At the end of the game, i respect bioware for trying to be a little differnt, but lets stop being delusional, the class skills are basically copies of WoW skills with diff names so stop pretending like your not WoW, you are WoW, in scifi, with less features. Get the game to a 2012 standard please, I want it to be great, i really do.

    Combat timer

This thing needs to be fixed seriously, first off in general the timer to drop combat is way too long even when functioning reasonably. It takes like an hour to drop combat to heal up or do whatever, theres no incentive to tactically retreat because ull never drop combat should always just fight till u die which is retarded and removes viable general strategy THEN theres all the issues with combat, first dots keep u in combat ***? especially these dots that last like 30 seconds LOL hf never dropping combat, side note: dots stop capping(*** is that lol) Finally theres the random combat dropping bugs where for some reason combat just wont drop and then if u deselect your target it drops, who im targeting should not effect my combat status This functionality is the most annoying thing ive noticed in pvp and is seriously detrimental to taking pvp seriously in this game, this among other problems need to be looked at ASAP if swtor pvp is to survive, most people wont have the patience to wait months for the game to get up to the speed of other games in terms of this very basic functionality
  13. its hard to get a group because bioware decided they wanted this game to have the features of a 2004 mmo, not a 2012, who wants to sit around in the fleet forever looking for a group, its too much work and ineffecient, you get no exp sitting there spamming general chat. God knows why they didnt add a LFG queue, apparently its ok to have a pvp queue but not a flashpoint one, just pure laziness and they hide behind "it hurts the community" when actually it builds community and encourages group play, as long as u dont make it cross server.
  14. umm i both need and want LFG, fact is a lfg queue makes flashpoints more accessable, more people see more content have more fun play more. I have barely done any flashpoints because frankly i cant be bothered to sit around in the fleet making a group, it would be so simple to implement it and make everything more accessible, but if they dont want it in so be it, people will eventually get annoyed with it and quit to find alternative mmos that have LFG systems. The forum trolls will say "good i want them gone", well i can bet you 10 million credits, bioware doesnt share your opinion. END OF STORY
  15. YEAH please remove the lfg for pvp, because its ruining the game, i dont want to pvp with people who are too lazy to spend 5-6 hours putting together a group for it we should have to spend about 5-6 hours planning and setting up for anything we want to do, so one day maybe we could actualy play the game, thank god theres no LFG system and we can sit in the fleet for hours building our groups!
