  1. http://www.sithwarrior.com It's got great discussion of all the bosses, after all patches etc. Great community! Best of luck mate =]
  2. You can set it to master loot, but you'll only be able to award crew skills schematics, the loot usually assigned to a certain person will continue to stay assigned. I wouldn't stress about it, you'll be in hard mode in no time! =] Edit: Haven't encounted any bugs like those above, sometimes on Normal we had to change the operations leader because it was set to master looter.
  3. You can't use it in Normal Operations to re-assign loot to someone other than the assigned person - that's by design and is working as intended. Other than that, it works great and is fairly smooth - the lack of a /roll system can be annoying sometimes buy /paper /rock /scissors can work well. Best of luck!
  4. Good writeup. I'm in the cookie cutter (read: no egress) Seer spec because I do PvE a lot also, but the same tactics and techniques apply. Someone already said it above, but building relationships with tanks (for gaurd) is invaluable. The more people who know your name in a warzone, the more likely you are to get your bacon saved when you're being focused! Best of luck to those thinking of trying PvP healing - as for myself, I begin the long grind between Rank 59 and 60 today!
  5. I am full seer for PvP and I really enjoy it, different strokes for different folks I guess. I also levelled with seer and it was fine, I was 50 a day or two after early access ended.
  6. Practice! Once everyone gets a feel for how massive the cleave is and can spend the optimal time DPS'ing instead of running around you should be okay. Our group killed the elites that spawn at ~50%, if you're really struggling with the enrage timer they could be CC'd too but I think that'd be just as much hassle and if the CC breaks it could be potentially more painful. Best of luck. =]
  7. I would reccomend an off-tank. We did it with only a vangaurd on hard mode, (4/5, anyway) and it was a bit brutal trying to heal through the armour debuff on G4-B3 Heavy Fabricator and Jorg and Sorno would be significanly easier too. We couldn't really get Karagga, switched to 3 healers and hit the enrage timer so we're still figuring out how it'll work with two tanks. Honestly I'd say an off-tank AC in a hybrid dps spec or DPS'ing in tank gear might be enough for the whole place.
  8. Can confirm that solving the wheels in order of North, South, South, North worked for us on hard mode - using the least/most efficient number of steps given by the Force Junkies web-app. We had it bug out twice before that worked, and we didn't pay attention to which side solved first or bother using the best console, so I can't really say what the exact change was that worked.
  9. Happened at various times to our raid group too. Tonight we spawned in the rancor room and our tank and one of our DPS both were dead on zone in. We got the tank up, but no matter what we did the DPS was dead and we had to do it with 7 and the DPS didn't get a chance at loot.
  10. Have your ranged DPS stand under the panels, it seemed to mitigate those big random lasers for our group. GLHF.
  11. Have your healer stand in the middle the whole time, rather than take a turret and its trivialised a bit. Kill the white (ranged) mobs first, use the minimap to know when to cover the space where the healer would be. GLHF. Fun instance, good to see something different.
  12. Thanks for the responses everyone. 3rd lightning channel, got it! As a sage I had no problem with the general because you can cleanse the grenade DoT right off. We were on voice chat and so the DPS could call out as soon as they got it on them.
  13. It's an instant cast, there is no warning when he does his pull so there is nothing to interupt. Thanks but =]
  14. Interesting, thanks for the feedback guys. I'm an Australian, living in South Africa for a few months with fairly bad latency and so more often than not I take significant damage from the boss even if I blow Force Speed to get away. Where did you guys tank him? We tried behind the pillars in the room - but he pulled me into the pillar from the other side and the lightning killed us from behind the pillar even. We tried doing it outside using the tanks wheeltrack and a good angle to stop the pull, which works, but it was too hard to co-ordinate the tank outside of voice communication.
