  1. Haijin supports this sentence. Couldn't have said it better myself (maybe better grammar:)).
  2. I don't think he cares much for forgiveness. Or your opinion He pretty much only cares for #1. Which is something you respect or scorn, take your pick.
  3. So what price would you pay for one? To rephrase: What price do I set for one on GTN, that it may actually sell with a profit? Considered the time invested in HMs, RNG in winning mat, and failed crit attempts.
  4. Everyone is entitled to play his game in his own way, within the rules the devs have set. I'm not going to defend the guardian class against people who: a) find it hard to play; b) not as entertaining as class X; c) not as powerful as class X. This is a matter of personal preference. Now, someone might say there is an objective way of comparing class performance and gameplay, and that Guardians in fact DO have too many abilities on their bars(some even redundant); that Guardians can't solo without Doc(pet aggro management?); that Guardians kill mobs slower and with more difficulty. My Guardian was my first character. After leveling a Sorcerer to 50, and the most important part here being Dromund Kaas group quests, I can safely say that a Sorcerer is truly ridiculously powerful. It might be my skill, but I was able to solo almost all of it. I speak from experience only, so I won't go into troopers. If I started a Sorcerer before a Guardian, I would VERY likely share the opinions of anti-guardian posters here, perhaps even quit my Guardian at level 20ish. Yet I haven't. And from level 40ish through all the 50 content I find Guardians not only fine, but excellent. This is of course subjective, but that's how I feel. Sorry, but I have dozens upon dozens of screenshots of me in hybrid Vigilance and full Focus specs, owning warzones as each. I also have screenshots of Juggernauts doing higher numbers than me(I try to learn from these people). So it's not just me, plenty of people find the class viable and fun, and are winners at what they do. Also there's plenty of Sorcerers doing 2x my damage/700k healing - yet I destroy these in 1v1 or in group clashes. Also tanking HMs and ops is insanely FUN in hybrid Vigilance spec, subjective but there it is. So again, I'll put accent on this : are Guardians an underperforming class if most of their good abilities and talents come in later levels? They might be harder to play in lower levels because of this, but OMG! this game is so easy, I welcome any challenge at all, even if it is in this form. So you trooper people say you kill stuff faster during leveling. I know from experience that sorcs DO kill faster and more efficient. So what? In equal gear on level 50, equally skilled players of all these classes should contribute about the same in PvE. At least I have not noticed any trace of being gimped while I played dps in HMs - quite the contrary. If I could choose between my Guardian and his redundantly crowded action bars, and a class that had 3 buttons to do the same thing I do... maybe I'd choose the latter. This would probably result in me being terribly bored of pushing said 3 buttons, and quitting the game. Guardians are far from perfect, but go look at other class forums, and you may be surprised. Also, DO NOT say they are not fun. I am having a blast, and know several people who also do great in PvP and PvE and wouldn't trade their chars for anything. P.S. To the people who can't enjoy the scenery, or boss visuals and such, because they are staring at their cooldowns... I'm sorry, but it's not the class - it's you. This is what separates the bads from the rest, this is the ability that makes the difference between a good player and a not-so-good one. Between a player that I get a kick out of beating because it could go either way, and a player whose name I don't remember because I destroy him and move onto the next one. Learn your class, familiarize yourself with your keyboard - or do you click the buttons? I can see how clicking abilities might be hard without looking at the action bar. But HELLO why are you looking at your bars if you aren't clicking them? If I offended anyone by anything I wrote, good - maybe they will funnel their anger into their mouse and keyboard, and improve their game. 13:00, time for dailies. Peace
  5. Yeah Force Sweep sucks in Vigilance spec, I wouldn't use it even it was free. ...oh wait.
  6. Second Wind saved my life more than once and there is, for me, no optional talent in any of the 3 trees with better value. Killing a guy 1v1 and ending up with 1k-3k hp is not that rare...meaning that without the SW heal, I'd be... dead. As for Victory Rush vs Defiance, Rush is better by a wide margin for the reason the previous poster well stated. More control over your class mechanics is better, even when the RNG option is seductively more powerful. Speaking from a standpoint of a guy who opened 16 empty pre-nerf champion bags, F*CK RNG. I get Defiance focus when I'm full of focus every time.
  7. Just give us mouseover macros and I'll never ask for anything again, promise. No need to even fix Tab targeting, just give me the ability to leap/g.leap etc, on mouseover... it's not too much to ask I think. Years of playing all roles in PvE and PvP using only mouseover macros, then having to click on people or Tab or some other grueling way of targeting... it's just wrong.
  8. To the guy who said PvP is a minigame: If you don't like it, don't participate. But calling PvP a minigame makes you look clueless, especially when I can log in anytime of day and jump into a warzone instantly, whereas to get a flashpoint group... well... good luck getting it together and starting the first pull in under 10-20 minutes. And this is being optimistic. My friend was looking for a tank the other night for 2 hours! They found one and actually completed a HM flashpoint, I applaud the persistence. I don't think a LFD tool would make much difference, ESPECIALLY for dpsers. If you think I have it wrong - make a poll asking people if they cleared an operation on any difficulty in any op size, and if yes, how often they clear it. Now make the other question how often they visit Ilum, and play warzones. I already know the answer with a lot of certainty, but you may be surprised. PvE is fine in this game, the bugs/issues in operations will get fixed and we may even get a /roll function LOL. But if anything kills SWTOR, it will be the devs taking your attitude towards PvP. Which they are not, see the dev blogs/videos. To the people still saying Guardians/Juggernauts are weak: Go see the post I made before this one, on a similar themed thread. To make it really short, Guardians are bleeping amazing. At least mine is. I get whispers asking me to tank stuff as soon as I log, and random people in warzones actually do /cheer and greet me before the warzone starts. People tend to remember who is on top of the list 9 out of 10 warzones, who scores goals and Guards/taunts around the focused. Not to make this about me and my skill - level to 50, get some gear, learn the class, and maybe you can have this kind of experience on your Guardian/Jugg too. If your leveling is too hard, maybe you picked the wrong class to play. They do have different classes for a reason, you know. If you are a bad Guardian, maybe you'll be an amazing Scoundrel or whatever. Just don't cry about an amazingly useful and well balanced class being weak in SOLOING leveling content in a MULTIPLAYER game, LOL. Damn when will the servers be up
  9. Just going to chip in and say a few. I have a 50 Guardian and a 50 Sorcerer, Guardian being rank 62. Currently fiddling with a Scoundrel and Powertech. While I was leveling both of my 50s, I've never had any problems, and never had to ask help for class quests, which I found to be ridiculously easy, barring a few boss fights which I needed to spec differently for. I like my Guardian much much more than any other class I tried. I am consistently on top of the list in warzones, irrelevant of whether I'm mindlessly going for max crits on people wearing dresses or genuinely trying to contribute to a sure win. Tanked, and still tank, all HMs in dps spec and mishmash gear easily, doing massive damage and threat while still not being too hard to heal for my centurion geared Sage friend. Offtanked EV and KP HM in PvP gear, went smooth enough. I am not posting this to brag about my skill, as obviously I'm doing all this while being grouped with people who are helping me. But, if you want to talk about how powerful a class is, you must consider how it performs in all environments. If you feel Guardians are underpowered, how exactly would you buff them? I kill every single person I encounter in 1v1. I have full champion with BM implants and lightsaber whereas on my server far too many imps are war heroes (fail faction balance in Ilum). I DON'T NEED a damage buff. Would you buff Guardians' mobility? LOL man, what class is more mobile? Sure on my sorcerer I soloed every single HC2+ quest and several 4+. Who the hell cares? On 50 I destroy sorcerers who outgear me by a fair margin. So Guardians can't solo leveling content as well... which translates to more time spent leveling. Bummer. Guardians' only flaw as I see them, is the very underwhelming Defense spec damage output/threat generation - which is why I tank in dps spec - no threat issues AND more fun for healer 8/16man ops are a different story... I'm hoping for a threat buff at least, if not Defense damage buff. Maybe I'd even pvp as Defense then. To end this too long post, I ask anyone with an opinion: Is a class in an MMO underpowered if its only weakness is SOLOING leveling content? I thought an M stood for Multiplayer.
  10. I lol'd seriously at this thread... because in the process of leveling my imp alt, I have tried Cademimu 3 times, with 3 parties, as healer every time. Wipes, more wipes, and ...wipes. All four rockets fire up and it's gg. This did not happen 6 weeks ago when I was leveling my main... but when I got there on alt, THREE WEEKS AGO... Ended up never completing Cademimu on that char. Advised in general chat for people not to go there. And three weeks later, it's still broken? Slowing dps didn't work for any of the three parties I was with, and even if it did, is that working as intended? Punishing players for doing good? Oh wait... Yesterday in Ilum, game punished me (and rest of ops) for finally breaking out of base and burning the imps with the turret - valorspamvalorspamvalorspamnovalorgainednovalorgainednovalorgainedWTF. It is apparently fine for imps to get +200 valor 24/7 and that is not imbalance, but hey, it's imbalancing to kill many of THEM in a short period once in a WEEK. So the fact that all four rockets are still firing up three weeks after I first had it happen, does not surprise me; but only makes me sad - as someone who enjoys parts of this game, but is appalled by the incompetency apparent in others.
  11. Thanks, got lucky just now. Logged into Ilum and asked for help killing Force Ghost, turns out the guy who offered help also had the schematic
  12. Not sure if this belongs here, but hey, I really want one I am on Legions of Lettow Republic, Haijin. Haven't seen them on GTN in more than two weeks, hope the artificers who can cut 33 power gems haven't unsubbed
  13. I'm looking for these pieces on Legions of Lettow rep. side - Haijin. Also looking for a magenta cut
  14. I won't comment on your self-image as a gamer, you are entitled to an opinion just like me and everyone else. It's just the expressing of these opinions and the way, and words in which it is done that can make even the most honest, selfless, decent and well-meaning person come off as incredibly egotistical and unworthy of attention past the initial estimate of his or her character. Take this as a friendly bit of advice, because it is. As for the content of your post (apart from "im good listen to me"), you do realize that if your estimate of 99% or whatever players are less skilled than you, holds true - then by rules of democracy and neoliberal capitalism it is extremely likely that it is the majority that will be listened to. Even if the "skilled" players formed 20 or more percent of player base (which I agree with you, they don't) it would still be logical of whoever is in charge, to mold the game to fit the 80% PAYING CUSTOMERS. Sad I agree, but hey, look at the world around you. I'm surprised that a person of your obvious intelligence would even question the fact that it will be the qqers and whiners and noskilled players who shape our games. Alas, if your post was meant as a prayer, an appeal in the face of overwhelming odds, then I join you... Don't think we'll make any difference though... just because you and I and 1-5% people can do a hard encounter in **** gear or pvp well with undergeared/gimped chars, doesn't mean it is good or PROFITABLE game design to have big parts of content accesible only to this low percentage of players. tldr - enjoy the game while it is not yet balanced in favor of the majority, do all new content as soon as possible, before the nerf bat - it is satisfying to know you did it while it was hard even if noone else knows but you. Peace <3
