    PvP a sad story

I wish I could say I woke up today logged in and your patch actually fixed the PvP issues 1) Laggyness around more then 10 ppl, to the point of unplayble at 20-30 2) RNG rewards 3) Illum (too much to specify 1 thing) 4) The GCD/melee ability non-activation 5) Minor bugs like falling through the world and crash to desktop that do affect PvP very much. You know Im sad to say, not one of those things was fixed in your patch, as if that alone was not enough you managed to actually make #3 worse and add a #6. Which would be that it is now way to effective with the various buffs to get valor +300% from controlling Illum, and another like several hundred percent from controlling the various bases. I was getting roughly 200 valor per kill or better. I think in about 2 hours I managed something like 25,000 valor ..... WAY, WAY to much. Im not one of those who leaves or joins games on a whim, but it's getting to be less of a whim and more of a mass exodus of serious PvPer's. Me and all my RL friends and the various in-game PvP buddies I have met all agree this game is actually getting worse for PvPer's not better. I have no desire to go play WoW ..... AT ALL I quit that game almost 1 year ago. I promise you however, if GW2 came out tommorow I would cancel my sub here. Well anyway I just hope you guys get on the ball cause the next cool game to come out will have me and my friends leaving yours unless it gets fixed before that time. GL I hope you do fix it, so we actually enjoy playing.
  3. I have come here to post the positive and negative thoughts I have about the current PvP system, and I hope someone from Bioware reads this stuff. First, I would like to say the story-line is EPIC, super awesome job there. Leveling was fun from 1-50. Now I am a mainly PvP player. I do not dabble much in PvE and less so in the scale of PvE presented currently as end-game. SO on to the PvP things. I have played a high amount of Warzones, and done a good amount of Illum "PvP" as well. I would like to say the general idea's your PvP structure is built on work in theory, as they are very close to the systems in other MMO's. The main difference I see that is positive would be huttball. I don't like getting huttball 80% of the time but it fixes many things including que times on 1 sided servers, and I like football so I couldnt help but like the idea generally speaking. On to some negative stuff, and I preface this with the fact I have played many other MMO's with PvP at launch(Warhammer,Guild Wars, Rift, WoW, Lotro and now this). I have a system that runs these other MMO's at mostly max graphics with no wierd form of lag when in Warzones. This for me is a huge issue cause I spent good money on my computer and I still have issues with this game, but no others. You as a company are competing against many MMO's, WoW being the most prevelant amoung them, and to someone who PvP's like me it is a choice between being in this lag situation, with a very odd and random loot reward system compared to say your biggest competitor WoW. I understand bugs like falling through the world, and getting crashed to desktop, where I have the issue is that I cannot PvP without this odd lag being present, a combination of latency which isn't present and FPS lag which also should not be an issue. For people like me and me myself I usually make the decision with-in a month or two on if I am going to play an MMO long term, right now with the PvP system as it is, glitches, bugs, "lag" in warzones, and the very odd reward system .... the answer is probably not. In my book you have until Diablo 3 comes out, and then Im on to play that but Im really hoping and cheering for you guys. I love Star Wars and it was a blast leveling but without the PvP it just will not hold me, here is to hoping and best of luck. P.S. - You really need a reward for holding Illum not just that applies while you are there, otherwise it just doesn't seem worth it.
