  1. You CAN NOT apply this to RL and adults picking on kids. This is a video game. Wow it seriously amazes me how people take this stuff so serious.
  2. Last time a pube tried to gank some of my guildies i issued a call to arms. Everyone dropped what they were doing we formed almost three ops groups and rolled out to Tattooine. We killed them all and locked down every major city killing guards... Everything! Pubes got mad, tried to say that dominus letum was wrong bla bla. Sounds like ur in the wrong guild. Its simple pvp servers are like this. U gank my members we gank u back and lock down ur quest hubs. Sorry if pvp happens on a pvp server.
  3. Ok if this is true then why hasnt the Void Star exploit been addressed. Ive seen numerous times were players jump the invisible wall to plant the bomb on te other side of the door. How has this been sitting for so long? To me this hurts that warzone because that one exploit can determine a win or a loss pretty quickly. But hey wait one of the guards in EV is bugged lets fix that first.

  5. AND DO NOT TELL ME BIOWARE that it isnt SIMPLE when you make unique and intriguing ways to gain items... Hmmm find a water device in Tattooine...... Get thirsty and a cup of water.... Run to Hoth and use arctic temperatures to turn this into freezing water then find a hidden crystal on ILLUM in which you use this item to make a mini boss appear that drops..... Yes if you have creative minds that can think up that nonsense then why the heck cant they see the logic behind the healers need love argument? /Double face palm
  6. EXACTLY..... either allow more medals to be earned for true dedicated healers in game during warzones or allow duel specs so these healers can do DMG as a DMG spec then switch back to HEAL spec to help their guildies out in the PVE content.. its that simple!
  7. We are not upset by any means bud! We simply want to see this game succeed and crush those cry babies who seem to think that WOW is the bench mark of how all games should be played. We just have alot of experience and being the LEader of this multi gaming community I get to hear tons of feed back from hundreds of players across many PVP MMO's.... armed with this data I am able to see the pros and cons of every game and can see the cycles of each as well! We are eagerly awaiting the PVP patch but sadly from what Ive read it isnt going to fix the problems. the Resolve bar is broken, there are no end game ILLUM incentives.... I hope they have some secret stuff waiting because as of now when these other PVP games launch they will lose market share.
  8. This is a HUGE reason why many servers have problems finding HEalers to group with. Sure you can respec but if you respec multiple times during the week you end up paying alot for it. (of course Duel Specing will fix this issue if ever implemented) Ive seen a HEALER heal the hell out of a Warzone and only get 4 medals... where as DPS classes get 8-12... Now for one trying to gain Valor rank etc... how is this going to happen? It isnt! Fix this, add more medals for healers to gain and all should be a little better on this front.... this comes from a guild with massive experience in PVP and hundreds of players speaking the same...
  9. A few are being fixed but to me those are bandaids... Any reasonable business man/woman know that putting a band aid over a problem simply prevents it from being fixed... the Resolve bar is broken, THERE IS NO LEGITIMATE END GAME PVP INCENTIVE to this game.... Like I said I am not bashing the game I love SWTOR but when I have a multi gaming community of gamers in the hundreds and have personally worked with industry developers who have asked for my guilds input on many PVP MMO's I know a thing or two. Sure some of these items are being addressed but in the end its the same...

Managing a very large and prestigous Multi MMO gaming community that focuses on PVP has allowed me to witness and play many previous MMO's and fully disect the pros and cons of a PVP environment. Ive played many MMO's such as World of Warcraft, Age of Conan, Matrix Online, DAOC, Warhammer, Aion. While I have had many players in each compete on a very high level and often at times have multiple chapters of Dominus Letum playing various MMO's this has allowed me to see each games progression regarding PVP. Let me first state that I absolutely love the Star Wars universe and feel that SWTOR is on to something GREAT. While in any MMO you are going to have a good portion race to end game content the majority of players will fully level shortly after launch and begin their quests for epic gear and loots. With that being said sure they're are bugs that MUSt be fixed to accomodate those players regarding PVE/PVP. As a guild we have blown through the Eternity Vault content and are eagerly awaiting more content as many others... but coming from a predominant PVP guild our main focus has been and always will be the pvp. I have many concerns, and keep in mind I am not bashing SWTOR as I love this game. I am simply using my past and current gaming experiences as founder of a multi gaming mmo community and have based my opinions on feedback from hundreds of players in my community. ABILITY TO MAKE DIFFERENT FACTION TOONS ON SAME SERVER This by far is one of the GREATEST mistakes Bioware has made. this simply allows players to re roll on the opposite side and on a PVP server will have many ramifications going forward. Put simply PVP players play to win! Its that simple. Allowing opposite faction players on the same server now allows players to exploit in ways that were a little harder before. Hey I need to kill some Jedi for my daily... Ok let me log into my Jedi meet me in a secret place in Illum and we can exchange deaths... Now tell me how is this promoting end game PVP? FIX THIS NOW! WARZONES - 1 - While any launch title will have limited options regarding queued scenarios, SWTOR came with 3 very fun and playable instances. However a few things MUST be fixed to help. One of the key items that must be fixed is the resolve bar. Regardless of how it fills up many CC abilities become counterproductive to this bar and ive often done so and seen against many resolve bars being completeky full but yet those players can be stunned and killed very fast. Many classes have multiple CC's while some only have one and from a gear to dmg ration this is understandable. For example I dont expect a fully decked out Tank class in heavy armor to be able to stun and dish out insane amounts of dps.. Fix the Resolve bar and some of the CC crying issues will subside. 2 - the lack of allowing FULL 8 player premades has and will only cause more issues. While players will argue the fact that they want to casually log in and be competitive in a scenario lets look at the underlying facts here. With a max group of 4 allowed you are basically at the whim of the other 4. From what Ive seen some work very well and are willing to work together as a TEAM for the common goal of winning. Ive also seen others simply cry, talk insane amounts of **** and also berate and complain to others. Many of your casual gamers will find this offensive and this makes many Warzones not fun. Bioware you placed a HUGE emphasis on Guilds prior to your launch. Even as far as going to list allies and adversaries.... Its a simple fact that 90% of the gamers playing these MMO's either play with RL friends or are part of a guild/gaming community. If this is FACT they why limit them to simply a 4 man group in these Warzones? Allow full 8 man warzones. People like coordination, why do you think there is a market for voice systems such as Ventrilo and Teamspeak? Because people love to chat in RL and coordinate against the oposition. TRUE PVP has always been this way. Just ask any of your Mythic Developers, some of which I have personally talked to or worked with to help develop PVP Scenarios in Warhammer and each will tell you that half a group in a warzone simply wont work long term... A prime example is Hutt Ball... now i love Hutt Ball and see massive potential here... however if i go in with a coordinated group of 4 with 4 other players who arent willing to work with us as a team then we have a higher chance of losing and with consistent losing comes an unwillingness to play. Trust me. Ive seen this across many mmo's not just SWTOR. UPDATES *** with the recent news of whats in store for PVP im glad to hear that 50's will only be grouped with 50's and that they're may be full 8 mans coming. I hope this happens soon because this will solve alot that is desired in the PVP gaming community. WORLD PVP - Non ILLUM World PVP is currently non existant in this game. coming form the MOST populated server I would have assumed that finding Jedi to purge would be rather easy. Night and night again I have taken my entire guild of 50's into multiple zones to simply look for Jedi. We have raided Tattooine, Alderaan and even Illum and our taste for World PVP was left sadly wanting much much more! Every location on a PVP server should be open game. while many PVE enthusiasts would be against this, that is why you personally as a company created PVE servers right? the problems with world PVP are listed below. 1 - Each world does not push for open world PVP. Quest zones and the pure design of such planets do not put a need on having players venture out of their individual racial comfort zones. Push quest lines out more and see how much more fun these servers can be. 2 - There are simply are no rewards for killing players of the opposite faction. Ok so we get some valor pts... but then what? Oh wait we need to be Valor rank 60 for Battlemaster gear... ok then what? People want epic goodies. Hell one only needs to look on these forums to see that people want purple color crystals or unique items... items that shouldnt have any GAME BREAKING stats but add perhaps just those cosmetic flairs that players have grown to love. In warhammer killing players dropped medals that could be used to purchase items and gear. Hell in Aion the more Valor you got the higher your rank was and if high enough you can transform into a mini semi raid boss and assist with pvp. While SWTOR isnt any of those games I find it very hard to believe that a company as prestigous as Bioware, a company that has developed and created such gems as Mass Effect could only come up with VALOR PTS... if this is the case then this is truly sad for the PVP community here playing SWTOR. 3 - Incentive. Give us an incentive to seek out and destroy the opposing faction! Bolstering Valor gain means nothing when Warzones are semi broken and the PVP gear is ok but not what most people want. Make it FUN to PVP... and watch this game explode within the PVP market! WORLD PVP - ILLUM Now comes the meat and potatoes of this topic. World PVP in ILLUM. A planet fully designed to meet the needs of those PVP enthusiasts. MEEH... I took my entire guild of 50's out and this is what I saw.. Tons of Empire players sitting on one side of an objective, tons of Republic players sitting on the other side and both flipping the objective like it was a nice hot pancake! Needless to say we broadcasted that "welfare Flipping is not the intent of BIOWARE so you might as well zone out as flipping will not be allowed!" and I took my guild and raced back and forth killing all Jedi who tried to flip objectives... What my guild got were people crying and complaining that we were preventing them from getting their gear. I even had some Jedi log into their Empire toons to send me tells telling me to stop or risk getting banned!!! LO fn L..... Tell me bioware is this what you have subjected your end game PVP to? My recommendations are as follows.... 1 - Create an incentive to STORM the enemy base. Sure we can cap it and see bombs blow it up... but for what purpose? We see a pretty fire work display LOL... I can wait to see one of these every 4th of July in REAL LIFE... Give us a purpose to gain access here... Put a frazy Flash point in there, make us earn the RIGHT to get in there and make some of the most epic loot available drop in there. If you want EPIC PVP on a PVP server do this and watch everyone fight to gain access to these instances. 2 - As I stated above regarding WORLD PVP... make killing opposite faction players worth wild. Dont do it in the form of a quest but allow players to drop goodies, perhaps those rare epic color crystals you have in mind... Spice it up a bit... While there are still many more things currently wrong with the PVP in this game these are some of the main ones I feel need fixing. One GREAT Idea I had a member bring to my attention was true space missions... The foundry is technically a space ship that we fly to to begin that FP... Ok why not have those 4 players work together on a super hard space mission to get there... Tell me flying your ship working with 3 of your guildies wouldnt be fun? For a company that I thought, thought outside the box im a little dissapointed on who came up with these PVP concepts... I understand Marketing and value and truly understand how sometimes games are pushed out prior to being finished due to market share so I understand the position you must have all been in but seriously some of these items if not fixed soon will hurt the PVP gaming community within this game of massive potential. In the end as Ive stated these are not only my opinions but opinions of the hundreds of players I currently have playing this game who come with XP playing some of the most demanding of PVP MMO games. Im sure as a company you are aware of some heavy hitter PVP centric MMO's coming soon this year, The SECRET WORLD (launches in April) which is gaining steam and getting rave reviews and also GUILD WARS 2 (launches 2nd Q 2012). While Dominus Letum will have many players play SWTOR well after those games launch and plan on having hundreds in each of those games playing concurrently as well how many smaller guilds playing this game can say that? If their leaders get fed up and decide to play another MMO its fact that 60-75% of those players go along and play other games with the groups of people they have consistently played with.. You still have time Bioware... please fix.... TL;DR SWTOR is a GREAT GAME with MASSIVE potential but the PVP is in DIRE NEED of a MASSIVE Overhaul.... and yes I read whats coming but whats coming wont fully fix the PVP in this game...

  12. Join a guild that actually wants to pvp on that server and do something about it. Some tag tag 50s were in tattooine ganking my lowbies. And it wasnt just once. So as guild leader i have to protect my players. I called a call to arms every high level player dropped instances they were running we formed two operations and "occupied tattooine" and locked it down on both instances. The point. We love pvp but if u get all crazy we will get crazy right back. And oh yes. HELLO CRITTY!!!! PVE much =p
  13. Um Frothing is my massive scale pvp tactician. Large multiple raid groups. We actually had two full operations of high level players while our mid to low levelers were out leveling. DL has well over 150 members. When we say massive, massive to us is larger groups. Not small tactical pvp groups that we also run daily to stir **** up! Also we pray that republic shows some resistance. Oh HELLO CRITTY!!! Just wanted to let you all know that we took Keroppi and watched as he cried to continue to pve on a pvp server. Its simple folks. We love pvp. If u gank our lowbies fine but if u constantly camp them. We will do exactly what we did te other night. Defeat you and take over all of your cities. No place is safe on the swiftsure if your jedi! Just ask all who played with or against us in warhammer and aion.

  15. this sounds FANTASTIC.... We need an INCENTIVE to capture these bases. Whats the point of capturing a base? I dont see any epic loot worth fighting for.. Also in regards to warzones... please allow premades... There are arguments both for and against but seriously this should be allowed. Ive seen pugs do phenominal things when they listen and work together,.... Ive also seen a team of 4 really coordinated be torn apart by another group unwilling to help. Also the resolve bar needs some fixing....ive had many guild members and other players as friends tell me of this.. But I like the ideas mentioned.... another good thing to have would be to allow groups to stay in group after warzones.... and for the love of gawd... please allow warzones we win to count when we win them for our dailies!!! I dont know how many times ive won a WZ only to have it NOT count against my weekly and daily... Frustrating as all hell!!! K thanks!
