  1. I am fully behind this idea, love the DLA-13 Heavy Blaster Rifle but the sound is so weedy "pew pew".
  2. Thats a texture bug introduced in December, just back after 3 month break so I guess its still not fixed
  3. Another patch and still not fixed. Come on BioWare get your act together. This affect all the character models in the game, every player every NPC. That should be a big deal for you guys and prompt a quick fix. At lest say something anything, whats going on? And the colour texture bug with some blasters and assault cannons is still there too, looks like the specular lighting or something turns them red/pink when viewed from behind.
  4. Its the same on all Female characters, and on pre-viewing some new items noticed it on Males too. Been that way since the last December patch. The alignment of the leg texture is wrong, the kind of thing that you would expect a hotfix to correct a day or two after it appeared in the game...................or not Big thumbs down to BW for not fixing it with the patch
  5. Never understood the gripes about swtor's F2P, you get a level 1 to 50 single player game free. Thats not bad at all. If you want to go beyond that pay up, its a product not a hand out.
  6. Considering Star Wars has its roots in George lucas's love of old school Flash Gordon and Rocketeer its very appropriate. Have you seen what people wear in the Star Wars Films, particularly the women?
  7. Nice looking bunch of stuff there, most very minimalist in design. Makes a nice change from all the glowing bits and extraneous McGuffen that can festoon some gear. They need to fix the flipped alignment of the female leg texture map for the Jori Daragons set though
  8. At the end of the day its a game its meaningless pointless fun. Quitters in MMO PVP all tend to be angry teenage little boys, who cant stand being beaten. Yep 3 Hutt ball matches in a row can grate, but play the game don’t chicken out. The best Warzone I have had was the Alderaan one. Getting slaughtered loosing 480 to 90 had 3 quitters 2 of which were crying about how useless we were against the Imp side. We won 10 to 0, just play the game as a game its more fun that way. A warzone lasts at most 15 minutes, if you cant stand your fragile little ego getting bruised for that long quit SWTOR or grow up.
  9. This only really affect 1 of my 12 characters. A Sith Assassin I made recently, I ended stopping playing that character today its just bugging me so much. The legs look like half squeezed tubes of toothpaste poking out from under the skirt, its really distracting and looks pretty shoddy. Messing up half your player models is a pretty big faux pa in an MMO, when people can spend a lot of time and credits getting there characters to look just right. Plus I had to sit through a cut scene with what looked like Jabba the Hutts backside waggling away in the background
  10. As someone plagued with one time pass problems, make sure you do this. If you dont have one make another email account and send a mail to the email you use for SWTOR, if it turns up quickly its not your email account. If its taking hours or days to get into the game because of the one time pass post in the customer service section. It may be coincidence but every time the passes have basically stopped me from playing I started a topic or posted in one already active and soon after things start working again. The one time pass problem is not something that gets much attention from the staff, it took a herculean forum effort to get the problems that affected many addressed after its introduction. If your paying and cant play because of it post it up. And keep at it, until its sorted. As consumers we have rights (well depending what country your in). And yes it is a horrible system, its brought me nothing but grief since its introduction. I feel your pain
  11. A subject that came up in another thread. I play on the Red Eclipse and the imps are generally just bad at Galactic Starfighter. It got to the point over the weekend were a fight against Imperials was a rare interlude between fighting other Republic players. Its a trend that seams to appear on other servers, I want to know why this is. Is there some fundamental problem with the Imperial side that stops people playing? Is it the look of the ships? I have to admit they do look pretty lackluster compared to there republic counterparts. I want to have fun games, and its not fun when you win 1000 to 5 points. Or when most of your games are against your own side. Not trying to brag or anything I am pretty average at starfighter. It would just be nice to have more competitive games. On the same server the imps have been dominant in normal PVP for a while why not Starfighter?
  12. They are basically the same ship. The Flashfire ( one with locked wings I think ) has a slightly different hull. It looks like an adaptation of the Nova Dive design that does away with the folding wings. Its something you can imagine a defence contractor doing. The Republic put out specifications for a new scout ship and a company submits a design based on the proven Nova Dive. It makes sense it would be nice to have a completely new looking ship to fly around but it does work.
  13. Playing on the Red eclipse server had 40 odd games over the weekend and the imps won 1, most of them have been turkey shoots. Was getting to the point were the only 12v12 fightes I was having were against other Republic players. Just finished my last game of the day and it went right to wire so hopefully the imps have grown a spine I was going to post a thread to see if the lack imps was a general trend, I thought it was down to fact that a lot of people, me included think the republic ships just look a lot better. But glad its not, hopefully things will balance out. Its more fun fighting the other side than your own.
  14. Having a lot of fun and doing quite well with the Pike at the moment. Once I stopped trying to get into dog fights and hung back a bit, covering my team mates with missiles and gun runs on scouts and strike fighters contesting objectives my scores shot up. Ideally I like to engage by diving in on the target using the protons from 10K, then following up with a concussion as I close finishing them off with rate of fire upgraded quad lasers. If nothing else my constant missile locks cause the enemy to break up and gets them off the tails of my team mates. Gunships fall pretty easily to the same tactic. If they boost away from my lock I can just chase them and start again. When a scout gets on my tail I try and boost off towards the cover of friendlies or turrets, or explode
  15. The controls are a bit off. Third person mouse controlled PVP space combat is nothing new, mouse control can work brilliantly. With GS it feels like like your moving a mouse cursor that your ship desperately tries to chase about, rather than the mouse movements controlling the ship. The games OK its not great. For me it doesn’t feel like I’m controlling a Star Wars ship more a nitrous boosted blimp. I have no problem with the abilities, its the basic controls the same game has been done so much better. Really looking forward to the expansion, and its really annoying I find it a bit disappointing
