  1. Ya, I just crashed to the desktop too. Happened in world. Also, performance seems to be lower i.e. micro stutters, and some FPS drops. This game really needs an optimization for today's latest hardware.
  2. I only know of the driver feedback section on their forums to report bugs. There might be a link somewhere in Geforce Experience app.
  3. There's some major bugs with the latest Nvidia drivers. I had to roll mine back to stop the PC from freezing when launching or playing swtor.
  4. I've noticed on a few occasions, since I started playing again about a week ago, when leaving a Flash Point (press the "Exit Area" button), during the loading screen, the game freezes about 2/3'd the way on the load progress bar. This doesn't seem to happen any where else, just when exiting a FP. I've tested all the hardware, and checked logs, and nothing stands out or crashes. I searched the forums and noticed a similar post. Not sure if this is a bug regression, Anyone else experiencing this also?
  5. Anyone try wine-pba yet for dx9 to vulkan? UPDATE Nvm. Just tried vk9, no luck. Still in beta.
  6. Swtor is working perfect for me on Arch Linux. I ended up using Lutris to automate the install. After it was done, I just click the desktop link to run it (no need to launch it in Lutris after it instals). My fps is identical to windows 10 with the same graphics settings. In fact, it looks smoother in linux DUE to nvidia forcecompositionpipeline (vsync with less input lag), and texture shaders arent distorted. The only performance hit are in warzones. Also my camera angle doesnt flip out sometimes when right clicking.
  7. All arguing aside, the game desperately needs some new content. Real content. New Ops, FP.'s (non-tactical), increased level cap, new questing planets, a new class or two, etc.... and game development is only going to get worse when more sub.'s leave due to lack of regular content. You can bend the truth all you want, but the amount of frustrated people on this forum is undeniable. And when that stops, you know the primary player base is gone.
  8. The game has become really stale for PvE players. And GSH, in my opinion, is just another template for cartel market transactions. I'm sure lots of people, including myself, might find it fun to decorate their houses and spend their CC's on items for it, but how sustainable is that? People are bored, and probably have been for a long time. there's othing wrong with what the OP has said. He's very accurate with his points. As for all the complaints of whiners in the forums about the game, if they didn't care about the game and wanted it to be a success, they wouldn't take the time to voice their concerns here. That's the whole point of a forum. Voice your concerns, issues, idea's. U don't just file them under trolls or whiners and disregard what they have to say. The lack of effort by BW is obviously popular. And if the game was as good as other people claim it to be, why would there be so much complaining about it?
  9. I thought the title said "What Would Keep You Paying?".
  10. Your best option is to ignore them. Pretty sure Bioware couldn't be bothered by gold spammers.
  11. People get really defensive about this game, having invested so much time and money on it. For those in that boat? Take the blinders off!!!! One gambling room with two types of slot machines and re skinned vanity gear. That's it. And if you think this event is boring as hell, wait until GSH comes out. You'll get to stand in your own generic sky palace being bored, with your companions. Even little kids get bored of playing house and eventually want to go out and use their Nerf guns. BW bumped up comm rewards to encourage you to gear up alts. Why? Because there's nothing left to do in the game, and that's all they have to offer right now besides this gambling event. But as some of you know, they took that out because they broke it. Even 8man group finder doesn't offer the comms for completing it. Why? Because they broke that too? And if you think there's going to be another xpack in December? GL with that. It won't be out until early spring of 2015, provided they aren't stuck fixing the mess GSH is going to create. If they weren't riding on the coat-tails of the Star Wars franchise, this game would've been dead a long time ago. In a galaxy far away.
  12. They added two types of slot machines and some vanity gear and broke the game in doing so. WTH Denial ain't just a river in Egypt. mmhmm Oh no he eigh eigh!
  13. It would be great to have someone, at the least, facilitate some work with the WINE dev.'s, but let's face it, they can barely keep up with SWTOR on Windows. i doubt they have the resources, or any interest for Linux. At least there's a good chance Mantle might be coming out for Linux. Especialy if SteamOS takes off.
  14. It's not really free to play. It's demo mode that's titled "F2Play" to entice people to try it out and potentially subscribe, or spend RL money to get more access, if they like the game enough. It's intentionally misleading. Free to play implies unrestricted/full game access for all, which is obviously not the case with SWTOR. That's what most people don't seem to get. The only solution, I believe, is to simply call it "SWTOR demo".
