  1. No. A combination of the budget and the sheer amount of time this game spent in development gave me a sense of false hope.
  2. I've isolated this bug to a few situations. Is your raid member dead in a position where, if he were to ressurect with 1hp, would he die again instantly? On our Gharj clear last night, and during a few Bonethrasher attempts, we had raid members die either in the lava or in the slime surrounding bonethrasher. For whatever reason, upon receiving the battle res and clicking the accept button, the player spawned with either the Lava debuff or took ticks from the slime damage, even though they were being ressed to a safe position. Seems like a bug on BW's end that could be resolved with a higher hit point total upon ressurection.
  3. Perhaps that was the case in the beta, when the guide was written, but it holds no truth anymore. Strength is the only stat that improves upon your lightsaber abilities. Well crit/surge obviously provide an increase as well, but that much was obvious.
  4. I'm sitting in the Esseles clearing the instance with the only melee abilities we receive as as Sage. Hitting for about as much as my tooltip indicates; 322-465 Saber Strike, 286-356 Double Strike. 1805 Willpower currently.
  5. If I was a 50 sage and I happened to have another account that I wanted to level a shadow on, what part of the gameplay experience am I missing exactly? Same storyline. Same quests. Same mobs to faceroll for 50 levels.
  6. I understand your goal, but I think we can expand what's already built and create something that 100% of the sage community can use, rather than those just starting out. I think having a guide for new players is a MUST, but I think having a resource for those looking for advanced information is just as important. I would essentially be taking your guide, which I personally used when I was new to the game, and add information that would make it relevant to a greater range of players.
  7. Looks like an excellent guide to those just starting the game, and those who may be a little unsure as to what role they want to fill. I'd elaborate a bit on the roles of each of our 3 talent trees, and what a player can expect by going down each of those paths. Overall great start!
  8. As stated by Khad, those of us who have been keeping up to date on mechanics and class nuances have been using the resources over on the Sorcerer forums and sithwarrior forums. But because I realize a good portion of this community is either on these forums for the first time, or they are simply looking for a quick answer to a question that is probably brought up daily, I see the value in keeping the sticky updated. With that said, I would have no problems being the one to do it. Along with bringing the thread up to speed, I could implement knowledge from outside resources(ie: sorc/sithwarrior forums) and make the thread a one stop shop for 90% of the questions people ask here daily. (Think elitist-jerks stickies). Shoot me a PM and we can talk it through.
  9. At the very least, I wish Bioware would implement a system that checks to see which classes are even present at the time of the kill, and based the roll off of that. Nothing is more frustrating than not only seeing loot that you can't use personally, but seeing loot drop that in no way helps your group progress. I have a sage healer friend leveling up right now and he's excited because I would be passing on a significant amount of gear, but I don't think he's mentally prepared for this wonderous loot system that Bioware has in place. Drops aside, looting on normal when we have 2-3 pugs every week is extremely frustrating. If you Round Robin, your geared players end up with stuff they don't need and your undergeared players suffer. If you Master Loot, you have to turn outside of the game for a roll mechanic to help assign loot to pugs. I despise the comparison, but I feel like there if there is such a successful blueprint out there, such as WoW, why not utilize some of the same aspects that made the game successful. I'm not asking for a carbon copy, but I feel like some of the aspects of this game are different merely in an attempt to be different. If they had strayed from the tried and true in an effort to make, what they believe to be, a better choice for their gamers.. I would have no complaints. But for the reasons stated above, I'm not on that side of the fence just yet.
  10. I seem to remember a similar bug occurring the last few times I was up that high in TK. I would activate Mental Alacrity and hit a spell immdiately afterwards , only to watch a GCD tick off on my abilities with no actual cast going off. Will need to test later.
  11. I think I have a Sentinel who can relate to your shadow. The one night of raids he had to miss, we had 3 straight Rakata Knight tokens. I have the pants sitting in my inventory simply to link to him a reminder of the importance of raid attendance.
  12. Just out of curiosity, how lucky has everyone been with boss drops? Last week was the 3rd week of HM clears, and we've done HM karagga every week since release. I've gotten.... 1 piece of Rakata gear. Both implant and earpiece from dailys, one piece Columi from raids(none from FP's), and I've bought 3 pieces of Tionese from comms/crystals. With that said I've worked my way up to 1800 WP, 90% surge, and 32% crit, all self buffed and with stim of course, raiding as 0/13/28. How's everyone's luck been and what are your stats up to? Include your spec too!
  13. Accuracy still factors into PvP, where players can resist spells.
  14. That post is at the top of the page. There's also a discussion in the same post. Much better than going to somebody elses site that rips the original guide.
