  1. I would love to see an AC swap, but I perfectly understand that it would frustrate some players to see people take an Advanced Class at 55 that they have no experience with at all. So I've suggested this before and I'll suggest it again - the ability to swap AC should be a Legacy ability, and in order to unlock this you should have both versions of the AC to level 50.. So if you have a Sith Sorcerer, for example, then to unlock the AC class swap you need either a Sith Assassin or a Jedi Shadow to 50. I like this option as it gives incentive to level another character and it ensures you know how to play both AC's fairly decently. You get what you want - an AC swap ability - and other players can be at least assured that you have at least played that class to level 50.
  2. The one emote I really, really want, that is already in the game, that looks great and needs to be a continuous looping emote until cancelled... ...is a proper /crossarms emote. That's all! Just that ONE! We have /dodge, /ironfist and so many more from conversations...but I can't physically cross my arms. I wouldn't even mind it being a new separate, purchasable emote. I just want it!
  3. Oh oh oh! Just my sort of thread request as an RP'er Emotes that are already in the game that need animations! /meditate - I'd love to see this as an actual proper kneel down and meditate. Our Jedi/Sith characters do this soooo many times in our story, yet we can't do it as a physical emote /sleep - No brainer. Need to actually lie down when sleeping. /crossarms - I would give a kidney for this emote. The /crossarms pose is one of my favourite in game poses and yet again, we can't use it outside of a cutscene If you put this in also, please keep it so that the pose stays until cancelled, rather than being a weird loop like /ponder. (if /ponder could be changed to stay in the hand-on-chin pose that would be awesome)! Make it paid if you want, just let me CROSS MY ARRRRRRMS New Emotes for the Cartel Market Form Poses. I would happily pay 1000 cartel points to get this on my Sith/Jedi characters. /ataru? /shiicho? /makashi? /juyo? YES PLEASE. Again don't loop em, let the character stay in the stance until cancelled. Wonderful tool for ****** screenshots/RP moments. The non-Force classes would need something to balance out though admittedly. Maybe various gun poses? /reload, /aimsights, /hipshot /scope (as in, sniper scopes through their sights), resting a hand on the gun but not drawing it, twirling guns, sidewards posing because why not ...stuff which would look cool. Adding onto /crossarms, maybe /walllean? That might be weird if you don't position your character right, but I soooo wish this was a possibility. Another version of flourish that carries out a series of attack moves; soething obviously aggressive. For example - a one-handed saber user carries out a Makashi salute, a dual-blade wielder shows off an impenetrable fan of blades; a sniper takes aim and loses a few shots; a Gunslinger shows off a few fancy tricks...things like that. Maybe some physical non-weapon moves are in order too! I love that crazy 360 kick that some Force-users do (e.g. Jedi Knight Interrupt). /roundhouse, /tumult ....that would be kinda cool.
  4. Spoilers man Of all the damn stories don't spoil *anything* in that one.
  5. I think that's exactly what is meant. Heck, there have been several articles recently highlighting how publishers won't take gambles on games with female characters because they think the audience can't identify with them (because Tomb Raider sold so poorly, amirite). It's a shame really, because there are some *excellent* female characters out there AND ones that aren't there solely for a male character to sleep with - for example, see Aveline in Dragon Age 2. We really need people who are 'bothered' by the characters other people choose to get the hell over it, because that perception that gamers won't play a female character is stymying what we can do with games.
  6. My bad then I literally completed the IA story yesterday, so it's fresh on my mind and I can't gush about the awesomeness enough at the moment. If you're looking for other stories, let me see what I can give based on the classes I have got that you haven't yet. These guys are in their mid 20's so I'm aware things haven't even heated up yet. Smuggler - Been really enjoying this one. It's classic, cliché-riddled fun times. It's the story I've laughed the loudest at, certainly. It's one I want to finish and I like this one as an 'enjoy the ride'. Great for feeling like a roguish smuggler after that big score and with an amusing nemesis to boot. Jedi Consular - I feel this one gets more ridicule than it deserves. It's pretty decent. I feel motivated and eager to discover what the heck is going on, and this is with just the initial story line. It's careful, thoughtful, ponderous - just like the more diplomatic Jedi Consular should be. Bounty Hunter - Like the Smuggler, this has been the 'I really feel like my character and class' storyline. BH has some excellent lines (counting down Calo-style was a real highlight for me), is a pretty strong character and has lots of character-defining moments and one-liners. I'm not quite as driven to experience the story on this character class but that said, it makes me feel like a Bounty Hunter and that matters. Jedi Knight - Is KOTOR 3. Excellent top-notch storyline that totally has me dragged into the story and caring about the outcome. This was the first class story also that made me feel like I was genuinely on this planet for reasons other than 'that's the progress' (unlike the SI where many reasons felt contrived and bleh). Without a doubt this guy will be my third 50. Sith Warrior - Another storyline that makes you really feel like your class. You are the Heir Apparent and you are going to level everything in your path, one way or another. I levelled with an SW friend on my SI all the way to 50, and my constant comments were 'WHY DO YOU GET TO DO THIS AWESOME STUFF AND I DON'T 8(' Other commentors are right in that it *really* takes off on Quesh and beyond. Great companions too, actually. That's my 2 pence - I hope that's of help to you!
  7. I'm always confused when this topic comes up. Why? Because it's always about 'men playing women'. No one seems to care about women playing men, which suggests to me that the people who complain about this issue have been burnt by trying to flirt with a female avatar.... I'm one of those rare ladies who plays almost exclusively male characters. Why? I just like them much better. I get tired of bare midriffs and over sexualised armor (the skimpy bikinis in the Cartel Pack have been driving me nuts) for females. And good grief I cannot get enough of the SI and IA male voice actors. Both of them are awesome. No one assumes my sexuality for playing a guy. No one makes childish comments about why I play guys. It seems to be uniquely aimed at men playing women. I've mused over this in the past and I think it comes down to the way players perceive their avatar. For some people, the avatar is a separate character, and then gender is a non-issue. This is my character, they are separate from me and I couldn't care less that they may be a different gender. For some people though, they make an avatar that they want to *be*. So - hideous generalisation warning - they'll make Manly McManChin because that's what they want to be, and because they are straight, Manly McManChin will flirt with everything female. Then they meet a guy playing a lady character and will think 'what? Why would I want to do that? I don't want to be a girl and flirt with guys! If I did that I'd be gay. Therefore, they must be too!'. It never occurs to them that the character is just an avatar - or heck, that the guy makes an attractive female character because he wants to LOOK at an attractive female character; or enjoy some of the top-notch female VA's. That's my theory, anyway. Certainly, the 'I want to look at hot dudes rather than skimpy over-sexualised Barbies' reason is exactly why I play male characters anyway.
  8. Imperial Agent. Holy hell. Good enough to make me set aside my level 50 just so I could get to the end and see what could happen! I feel genuinely gutted that the IA story is over and done. Highlights of why the IA story is so amazing. 1) Far reaching consequences. Everything you do, all the decisions you make, WILL come to bite you very hard in the *** later. I was surprised when a decision made in the second chapter came back in the third. I was gobsmacked when one made in the prologue came back too, hours and hours of gameplay later. 2) So many endings. And really varied endings all very different and taking into your account your decisions in later chapters; not just ABC. I would gladly play an IA as many times needed to see all the endings. 3) I feel like a damn Imperial Agent. Really feel like one. Compared to my first story, the SI, I really felt my character and the weight of my decisions. One of them had me staring at the screen for a good 10 minutes trying to decide which was the best road to take. I cared about the characters I met and what I did to them. 4) It nods to practically every other class story throughout. No, seriously. No other class story I've seen also built upon the other class stories (and sometimes world arcs) with little easter eggs and 'whoa, that's what was going on' scenes. I'd actually recommend leaving the IA story until last just because of that. 5) I had several key points of the story spoiled to me by friends (gits that they are) and was STILL blown away when I knew what was coming happened because it was either executed so damn well or in a way that I didn't even see coming. JK is also pretty stellar and feels like KOTOR 3. But for sheer storytelling power, meaningful decisions and replayability, the IA story is in a class of it's own. If I ever become a game writer, if my stories were even half as good as this one I would be satisfied. Bravo, IA story writer. Bravo.
  9. Is it also possible that you're looking on the wrong account? I have a friend who did this recently and thought all his characters were gone, but he'd accidentally made 2 accounts and then reactivated the wrong one, the derp. Might be worth checking emails for another SW:TOR account.
  10. Personally I'd love to see this. I'm the reverse, I'm sick of my purple puddle and lightning, and actually really really like the animations (including the character animations as well as the effects) of the Jedi Consular as opposed to the SI. It would be nice to see some obvious Light-Side effects, as it kinda feels the Dark Side guys get all of the fun
  11. Totally hear you . I love this game pretty much for the same reasons. I can enjoy the content I used to love but now can't take part in because of a long-shift job. No it's not perfect, but it scratches that itch.
  12. I'm going to say the same about the male SI voice Can't wait for more story content so I get to listen to that snark all over again.
  13. I guess I kind of don't understand it either. Sure, Overload is a bit unreliable when it comes to knocking people off ledges in certain PvP warzones. But that's what, 2 warzones where that's a problem? Any OTHER situation, Overload is my 'get the heck off me' skill. If I have 2-3 melee humping my healing behind while I'm trying to run away from them - Overload. Also, where in PvE do I care about a directional push? Never. I don't know, I feel this is a pointless change to make sure 1-2 more people can be reliably punted off ledges and sacrificing an emergency ability to do so - particularly painful on a healy sorc where currently I feel like paper when playing PvP.
  14. Enjoying both Star Wars and GW2 for very different reasons. SWTOR definitely has the story advantage. As an RP'er I also kinda find SWTOR's lore a lot more fleshed out and easier to make interesting characters for. Also, Operations. I much prefer the holy trinity style of gameplay - it makes me feel useful as a healer - but I appreciate some people are tired of that now. SWTOR has great PvE for me and I look forward to seeing more content. What GW2 has is sheer environmental beauty. Wanderlust/discovery. I think SWTOR is a pretty, stylistic game, but going around some of the areas in GW has had my jaw dropping open. Giant floating city cube in the sky? Check. Stepping out from verdant green jungle into a cracked desolate wasteland? Check. Pirate ship tavern built on the edge of a cliff for no reason? Damn yes, check. I also don't want to think of how much money and time I have spent on cooking, and trying to find as many combinations as possible (the glee when I first discovered the Cinammon Pinwheel recipe ;p) I would honestly say that the two are sufficiently different games as to warrent me wanting to keep playing both. SWTOR has the story-driven, holy-trinity style of gameplay that I enjoy. Guild Wars 2 is fantastic for just logging on and going 'what did I feel like doing today' and then throwing that completely out the window when I get distracted by shinies. Or the quest to find who sells ruddy vanilla beans. And I love SWTOR My playtime is just minimised to RP while I wait for new content, burn off the freshness of GW, and will lose both for a while when the next Sims expansion comes out
  15. I'd also totally recommend looking up the Imperial Reclaimation Service. They're basically a branch of the Empire specifically looking into old tombs and lost Sith archaeology; and not necessarily Force Sensitives either.
